Rollin' along. I'm surprised with all the gnat issues that these plants are still green.

Sample flower from the Hulk and you can see where the foxtails are popping. This one will be interesting :)
IMG_0405.JPG Clones are LST'd and all but the un-topped one have true leaves popping.

And the babies are doing good. One black widow didn't break soil yet, so I dug out the seed to check and it had about a 1/2" tail, so I re-positioned it and got it settled back in.

@J.James - not your seeds but your method (no peat-pod). I sifted the soil through an 1/8" screen, 10% moisture by weight, etc.

I like it but was wondering if this is a more common occurrence with the loose soil rather than rooters.
IMG_0415.JPG I had to help the husk off a little at a time all day, but it wasn't pinched by the husk. It was holding on by that inner skin. I only ask because It seems that the rooters tend to 'scrub' the shell off as they pop up. I only had it happen once, and that was because the husk was pinched onto the leaf.

It does happen from time to time, I've learned over the years to mist it daily with water and it will fall off naturally.

Watered everything last night, and the clones seemed to like it. Getting more big leaves now.

The Royal Mystery have been "vents open" for a few days now, so dome off for a few hours and see what happens.
IMG_0438.JPG
And the ILGM seeds were 2 for 3 after showing tails on all 3. I sifted out the seed and the dead tail fell off.
Hoping the RM do well so I can get these in the dome and close vents instead of these cups. The other propagator I had was too short for those pots.

First report on the early Northern Lights harvest. I was not expecting much since there was only a random amber on several buds, but I guess that meant it was at least close enough. My GDP and Skunk look and smoke different (GDP is almost gone) with a little different buzz, but they smell the same. They taste similar as well. The NL was 2 weeks old today so I picked out enough tiny nugs for a few cones.

The smell is LOUD!
It's like a pine tree covered in diesel and spices.
But fresh smelling.
ENTIRELY different buzz.
It has a light, smooth taste.
Piney with almost a menthol feel.
Very glad that I got the clones.
It goes right from the chest to the back.
Might be the higher CBD content.
It creeps up the back of the neck.
Then behind the eyes.
And the grin
It makes you type in short sentences. :bigjoint:

First off, the previous post was an "eyewitness report". You were there as it happened. :)
It's definitely not couch-lock weed. Doing stuff and thinking - pretty cool.

While cataloging my new batch of seeds and getting them stored I decided on my next seed drop whenever that comes around. Since I have 2 black widow that I know are fem, and hoping that at least one of the RM is a girl, I 'will have' (hopefully) 4 strains in my possession that I haven't tried.

All are reggies provided by - and most grown by - @J.James. First, he gave me a pack of 4th Gear testers from County Line Genetics (Batch 24) Even he says I need to try them soon ;)

Then he gave me a butt-load of Florida Diesel, as well as the Royal Mystery I have going.

Then I got some of his F2's (The Crown Jewel, and Bisons Breath) which to my understanding are seeds from a male-female run of the same strain. I found the Bison's Breath online, so I assume he got reggies and bred them. The Crown Jewel is his own strain (Chihuapei x Dubking) - and from seeing a few of his grows I would be willing to bet he found a great cross if he decided to run it. I'll let him chime in with any specifics, or when I grow them.

But for now my plan is to run those 4 strains. I am perfectly happy running one or two plants instead of this hoard, but I want to try everything! So I will drop 2 of each (8 seeds) and keep whatever fems. If I get lucky I'll freakin' make room :) but the goal is to get 2-3 females, and whittle down the strains I 'need' to grow. :weed:

The Crown Jewel is by Golden Lion Genetics. I can't take credit for that masterpiece but have done some recent crosses with it. Tastes is very sweet, Like spun sugar and melon.

Hardening...
This seems to be working The RM's got a few hours of light with no dome, and the 6 hour dark period. The heat mat only comes on occasionally with the dome closed (thermostat is inside) but they should get a little warmth occasionally. No fans yet, but the exhaust is running and the intake vent is right behind the plants, so they are getting some air-flow.
IMG_0445.JPG Watching them close tonight in case I need to put them back in, or rig a dome for them individually, but as hearty as they have been I think they are ready for the big world.

And the Hulk

Looking like about 2 weeks left on the Skywalker OG, but the Bruce Banner might go long. Definitely has little foxtails starting.

My trigger finger is itching to flip these. I have 3 definitely taking off well, then 2 with a single-shoot with a slow partner - one that hasn't put out true leaves yet (back left), and the un-topped one. The first true leaves are just peeking out on her top.IMG_0451.JPG
I had the power go out for about an hour last night, so I am dicking around with the timers anyway to get them back on schedule. I think tomorrow is Day one of flower. I have until about an hour to decide if it's lights out or they stay on until 1pm. I think the small pots will be the deciding factor and I don't plan on re-potting them, so it might be best.

And all it took was some time out in the open to get some stretch out of the Royals. Growin' like weeds

And I did it. All things considered, my only goal was to get some extra full-grown bud from the NL. I tried the early stuff this morning with a clear head and coffee and I love it. That said, I have plenty more strains that I'm sure I'll love as well. They're well rooted, vegging nicely, and will probably almost triple in height over the next 3 weeks, with lots more sprouts, and training.

I was worried the tops in Hulk might not do much with so many limbs, and they haven't stacked up that tall, but they are all at least plumping up.
IMG_0479.JPG
And the SOG is tiny, but I am pretty sure there's some density in there somewhere. Everything is so tight I'm more worried about bud rot than anything.
IMG_0480.JPG
I have pruned some lower-inner foliage on both, looking for any fat, purple, fan-leaf leaf stems in the middle from underneath. I think I have enough airflow underneath, but I have tried to be pretty hands off on these.

Yesterday was the heavy LST, this morning the flip, and today was a major pruning. Update on the MC page.
IMG_0481.JPG
And I remembered one of the things I was wanting to try. I wondered what a veg-clone, taken from a monster-cropped clone would do.
IMG_0462.JPG
They're still sitting there, and I'm still thinking about it, and I have that seed dome already warmed up. But looking at them, I am positive that if they took they would grow like the monster crop plant because that structure is already there. All the shoots have the little "cup-leaf and sprout" thing happening on every stem. They only get their "regular" structure after the shoots have come out of the cups.

So in the interest of my sanity and getting back to a semblance of a schedule, they die. Enough Northern Lights. If I want more in the future I'll buy more seeds.

This is the last of my ventures into the unknown for a bit. Seeds, manifolds, and big buds. I am pruning the clones drastically to get my skills warmed up on practice plants :) I have enough larf to last me for a while, and I will probably get more :)

Those little cups help with the humidity. Each one only has less than 1/8" of water, so it heats up quick when the mat is on. I forgot to check them and it went from 80% to about 60% quick when they dried out. That little Temp/rH thing is a remote sensor that I can monitor from the living room. Has 3 total, one in each of the rooms and this one shifts from the tent to the drying closet as needed.
