Hey Vegas

Nice work on the boards. Having gone thru this process any advice on getting some done? How do you assure yourself your actually getting s6 bin (assuming your using the same alibees supplier as the OMS board which seemed to test subpar to qbs in cobkits tests?) Im dont want to throw doubt on your boards, more after honest advice. I would have gotten in on this if it was based somewhere in europe as shipping from the US is too much a factor for me.
Its hard to trust the an alibaba not called Jerry...

Also, would you consider doing a full par map showing the spread? If its good enough then who cares about the bin :)

The MUtherFUckEr boards has arrived! Eventually
My paypal address was okay...... but.... a royal snail card arrived with HER name to say I'd to pay Cuntstums of £17.42p.
She said ... did I order shit in her name lol
I said no....?
So the fecker ripped up the card ffs.... bonkers!
I went out with the card in about 20 pieces to Royal Snails office and luckily for me I knew the postie behind the counter lol lol
Gotta order a driver for them yet, probably get it from Mouser.
Should have it up n running in a week or so.
Thanks @VegasWinner .

I have to put faith in the guy on the other end. I have used an inexpensive hydrofarm PAR meter and I am really quite impressed with the PAR at 18" and 24". If I can pry it awaya from my GF and her garden I will do a par map.
I think the guy I chose showed me he was willing to work together on price and product. We are still in contact and he wants me to order more boards, which, with solderless connectors . If another group shows interest, after I let these last two go, I would do it again.
This time I would go with 3000k 90cri and 5000k 80cri as the only change for a little more red in the light. I would gladly let a board get tested. I would have to set up a test space for a par map, but I could do that. I think Jeff Wei is very trustworthy,as he asked for half up front and half after the job was finished, and he was prepared to show pictures of finished product to prove he was finished. I told him not necessary. paid and he shipped quickly. he watched shipment and emailed me when it landed. great customer service.
He would let you use the same gerber file for no extra fee,as I asked him to share the gerber file design with anyone that asked. It was really a lot of fun, and I would love to do it again. I don't make money, but I have a lot of fun and meet some great people along the way in shipping.

Kudos on 5000k/3000 90cri, would be the sweet. And thanks for the offer on the design files. Fair enough on par maps, its a lot of work even without having to convince the gf, but what kind of spread do you get and on what distance/wattage?

Also, youve used these new blurple phosphor cobs, The ones called full spectrum that peak in 450/660 with much wider spectrum than momocromatic. Did you check if you could get them on a board? Seems like a great way to supplement a 80cri spectrum, going all the way into far red.

I am finding at one foot from center at 24" I am getting around 380 ppfd and about 580 at center at 200w.

I tried the full spectrum and they generate a lot of heat. I use Far red for sleepy time on a separate channel.
Edit 24" distance

How does name calling make me a hypocrite LOL?

Cmon Abiqua you can do better than that, as to the rest of your comment reckon we are just going to have to agree to disagree with regards to Shitefras!
you just come off as built my first light, grew my first round, now I know all there is, but I am wondering again what your contribution has been? since that is your argument, right?

I believe your whole complaint is from the misunderstanding of a simple term, that helps everyone on the same page, thats common knowledge. When you deviate, you look foolish, and to call someone out for your own foolishness, is well, foolish.

But carry on attacking those who attempt to correct your mistakes. :joint:

Oh that is what is wrong folks don't need you and your crew of misfits to mislead and take people's money.

you know nothing and do nothing but work for the head troll who wonders why no one posts here talking about his lights. LOL TROLL go away.

I believe you are an idiot and have no real education. What you believe does not matter to me.bongsmilie

Abiqua seriously that is such a lame post... Straight off the bat you still have not answered why calling someone names makes me a hypocrite:wall:

Secondly, I see exactly what is going on here, you are still sore and major Butthurt from when we last talked and you could not figure out how to work out PPFD over a given area other than a m2 riiight haha. I seem to remember when you were proved wrong you still tried to act like you were right LOL.

Seriously dude stop with the snide comments, take a good dose of your own words above and get over it because by your own words the only Foolish Hypocrite here is you, my friend ;)

I've had that fool on ignore for years now. He'll never change. Don't waste your time on him anymore.

As one innovator to another, remember this well my friend; there will always be more people who hate and fear us then appreciate us, for what we do is shake the foundations of their comfortable little world.

You keep doing you, man.

Here is 1 growgreen 200 watt board I mounted on a 22" x 14" x 5/8" alloy plate.
I had it running at just over 200 watts on a Meanwell hlg-185h-c1050a with both channels wired in series.
Ive also added 2 x 10 watt 660nm and 2 x 10 watt 420nm chips for flowering.
It is now running in a 32" x 32" x 5' tent at 100 watts over a Strawberry Banana and a Sensi Star I've just transplanted.
I'll mount the other board on an old platinum p300 heatsink but I'll have to use fans.
I think it's rated for around 180 watts with 2 x 5" fans.
These boards are fecken bright!

I love the last picture. All light directed downwards with not much above the fixture.
Those 2 plants were vegging under 3 x 1212s at around 66 watts.
Ive set the new growgreen board at 100 watts for now.
I'll ramp it up slowly. I'll veg for a couple of weeks then flower.
2 more plants to go in yet.
I'm very happy with the DAY
Thanks @VegasWinner
