Chemist77 Pic Journal

I got strap wire around my tubes to which I tie them down.

good idea.. what size water pump u use?? mine is 400gph and im thinking of going bigger after the changes,,really having trouble right now as the roots have bloccked row1 and 2 from draining so ive resorted to the water going in row 5 but that hasnt really solved the problem just stopped it from overflowing...

I use a 350gph pump but would prefer a little more, will probably upgrade to a 450-500.

thats for your 2 tubes wright?? how big would you go if running 5 5 foot 4inch tubes?? im getting the new materials this week, have to use 4'' cause the 6'' is way to expensive and if your not having draining problems im sure i can make due..ill take pics in the next couple days but be warned some are not looking good because of the blockage in the tubes some plants werent getting nutes and yellowed pretty badly, so hopefully by next week they will be transplanted into a same but new designed system..the last 2 runs went great, dont know why on this run it overflowed and wouldnt drain properly. the last batch had bigger plants too?

Yes that's for 2 tubes 4' 110mm (4.33") tubes.

IF I were using the same pump brand/type but larger capacity than I would at least use something like 750gph. But that's a big IF because the actual throughput varies a lot per pump even if they're the same gph, ie. based on suction height/lift. Instead of upgrading my 350gph to 400-500 I may just buy a 350gph that's better.

Can you post some close ups from your drain pipes and how you connected those?

if you go to the 7th pic down from top u can see the pipe coming up out of res and flows into row 1 and 5. its 1/2 inch pvc and the pump is a hydro farm 450 gph w/ a 6 foot height max..instead of upgrading my pump after the changes maybe ill just use 2 pumps as i already have more and a 750 gph would probably be a hefty dollar..plants started to yellow not because of nutrients but because the roots were blocking the water from recirculating and row 5 was dry for 2 days before i fixed it...its fixed for now, but im changing everything after this run, so that wont happen again.. im also topping all the next plants, topped 20 today so they have a week to recover then ill top again, a week later they will go 12/12.

ill put up week 5 12/12 pics tonight after lights go on. i just sprouted a few new strains. 1 fem lemon kush by female, 1fem lady purple by dajasaaman, 1 reg ultimate purple by BCBD, and 2 reg northern lights#5 by britich columbia seeds. the lemon kush and NL#5 are stabilized hybrids, hope to get a male nl5 for breeding...the nl5's dont have 1st true leaves yet, but the others are all on like their 6th or 7th set. ill probably top them soon, the lady purple has the most indica leaves ive ever seen so fat they over lap each other and the first fingers cant even be seen as they are under the 2nd set of fingers..oh i also have a nirvana northern lights x afghan seed that i created and that is on its 4th set of leaves, its fingers are fatter than the nl mother so i think its taken traits from the afghan male, hope its a female,,,,well seee...

the 20 clones in megagarden were topped a week ago and are starting their 2 topps. i got my new pvc so next run will be in a new nft/under current/ dwc. it will hold 30 plants and 6 rows insted of 5,, ill finish this run in what they are in, but next run should be better and avoid roots clogging problem. it will be on a slight angle from were the water flows in to were it drains into the res, so gravity will help drainage also..the water will recirculate constantly so no need fror the air stones in the pvc tubes only one in the res. i think the new design should work flawlessly ..i hope..

today is xmas eve, rows 1 and 5, the mighty grape and mellon gum were pulled 2 days ago and the 2 durban poison in front of row4 were done in 48 days..row 1 now has 3 skunks that were in the bloombox and row 5 has in back 1 durban poison then 3 purple buds out of bloombox and front 2 in row 4 are the durbans out of bloombox.. ill post pics in the next day or 2 as they are almost ready..the bloombox was just filled with, 3 blueberry#2 ,back row, 2 northern lights and 1 critical hog middle row and front row is on left 2 critical mass and on the far right is a blueberry#1, all have been topped and trimmed.we will see if topping and trimming yields better in bloombox..

all plants are trimmed and drying, ill put up pic's of the system i was using, then pix of the new hopefully improved system, then new system w/ plants that have been vegging, topped, and some lst training. i have alot to do finishing the new system and my veg room is packed w plants waiting to go into bloom. i should get it done w/ pics soon!! out of the last batch still drying but looks like the skunk yields most..
