i bought a trimmer, but ive used it a couple times and u really lose alot of the lower buds, they fall through the grill..but damn the stuff that falls through is great for bubble hash!! its 20 inches around and u crank the handle on top to spin the razor blade around under the grill,, ill get a pic of it up soon..question if any of u have used a trim machine is it best to trim plants freshly cut or best to trim them after they are hung dry?? ive done it both ways, but both ways i still lose alot of bud through the grill,,,any ideas?? hand trimming takes me and my wife anywere from 5-10 hours,, the trimmer we can do it all in like 1-2 hours but its not worth the amount of bud lost...
 
hey man I was wondering how do the roots fill up the 4 inch pipe after flowering? I'm about to build a new system I'm thinking flood & drain in the PVC, 1+ month veg and 2 month flower, trying to visualize my 6 inch grow's roots in 4 inch pipe.... I see you flower yours pretty much from the get go , maybe I should stick with 6 in to be safe? I'll have 3 rows of 6 plants under 2x HPS so imagining i may need more root space

when i pull the plants its like 1 5ft root ball in each row, roots literally fill the pvc from top to bottom..i wouldve used 6 inch but couldnt get it were i live.. the 4 inch works great though and ive had 4- 5 ft tall plants in it w/ no problems,, i thought drainage would cause problems w/ root blocking the flow, but no back ups since ive changed the set up..
 
Great news yeah I had inches of roots in my PVC too, thought they would be a bit mouldy when I pulled the plants but they were white as ever... the 6" costs twice as much, but its probably the way to go considering I may bump my veg time up to 2 months

im at the point in breeding were i would feel confident taking 10 ditch weed seeds and in 10 or so crosses end up with top notch weed.. its all about selecting the most promising males and females and back crossing..
 
any body use a trimmer like the one i have above? should i trimm fresh cut or after dry? i seem to lose alot of bud using it, but it trimms ok..saves time and the trimm is great fr bubble hash..
i know its time fr this weeks pics already im lagging,, just got back from chicago ,lots to do...need to get clones so they can get a week or 2 of veg before the table finishes...im getting lazy, sometimes i just dont feel like spending an hour doing cuttings...
anyways the og mom and dynamite mom went in flower sunday n the dynamite is already showing sex, it was a feminized seed same w the og but the og isnt showing yet...11 fingered leaves on the dynamite, 9 on the og and 11 on the fire og, the fire is reg seed hope its a female...the seedlings are 2 of each, 2 reg shit by nice and 2 critical mass by nice, 2 bubble gum fems by th seeds and 1 afghan kush by world of seeds, the leaves are so fat they overlap i really hope for females especially the afghan its short,fat, n already has a funk smell still in veg..
 
Is it for personal use or for patients? If it is for personal, I would just take my time and hand trim it. If you need to get a bunch to patients then use the trimmer on fresh flowers.

have 9 patients, pluss me and my wife...very short supply of care givvers up here..
