the republicans must reinvent or go extinct

  • Today the republicans are saying. Richard, do i have a mark on my face? It really hurts.
  • No, nothing. I thought i hit you on the shoulder.
  • My shoulder doesn't hurt very much, but my face does. Right here.
  • Not here, or here so much, but right here.

That is absolutely correct and they do need to be more inclusive and tone down the Holier than Thou attitude.

On a side note: It is a shame that our country no longer makes millionaires at the same rate anymore. It is what I aspire to attain - wealth and security for my family. I believe if you were honest it is what you want for yourself. I know UB does.

You sound racist to me. You had me right up to the words, white men. It's not just white it is all colors and both sexes that are business owners and millionaires.
i do not aspire to be a millionaire, winter woman. i only aspire to happiness.

Your right, I have been saying this for awhile now, people are starting to figure out they are completely full of shit, especially last year and this year. REAL Libertarians are taking over their spot.
no, they aren't. you could have combined every libertarian vote with every romney vote and you still wouldn't have kept obama from hitting 300 electoral votes.

I still can't fathom how anyone in their right mind would pay attention to anything Newt and Rove say............

Fox News is crying in their beer this morning and now that they've recovered from the shock, they are starting back up with their shitty attitude towards the POTUS.

And, I said 'Pastey White Men'.

Racism is the farthest thing from my mind.

Think the Republicans will lighten up on the 'GAY BASHING' now??

Seems they ought to start pandering to people that differ from themselves if they want to remain viable.
no, i don't think republicans will stop gay bashing. which is why they will likely go extinct.

Here is how the Republicans can reinvent themselves in 2016:

1. nominate Gary Johnson to run for the presidency.
2. Abandon the social conservative nutcases.

In other words, become libertarians.

lol.

you could have given romney every single libertarian vote and nothing would have changed but florida.

no one likes libertarians, and with good cause. you guys belong a couple centuries back.

Maybe I should clarify. I am not suggesting abandon the Republican party and join the Libertarian party, I am saying embrace libertarian (small "L") ideals. The problem with the Republican party is that it is in the strangle hold of social conservatives. I think most people actually are libertarian, i.e. fiscally conservative and socially liberal.

As I said in another post, I would be happy to vote for Barry Goldwater. I would be very happy to vote for Gary Johnson, the Republican or Gary Johnson, the Democrat. I am not wed to any party, I am wed to a general philosophy.

I think you are right, Buck, that the Republicans are destined for extinction if they continue their present course. I also think the Democrats are destined for extinction. The Dems will die out when bankruptcy descends on the giddy masses if they continue to spend as if there is no consequence.

she already has a million dollars, and believe me, it doesn't buy happiness.
I guess not, she married you. Sorry, too easy.

I bet you're happy when the inlaws take you out for lobster after a high buck round of golf though, right?

never before has a president won with an economy this bad.

this was the republican's election to win, and they lost. they lost BAD.

they will really need to reinvent themselves.
the republican party may "re-invent" itself, AGAIN. but the conservatives will not. this is in the nature of conservatives. conservatism endures even when the parties fail by trying too hard to be the winners at all cost.

even in liberal ass california many conservative ideas are entrenched so deeply that even george clooney cant change us.

if the republican party strays farther from the conservative base they will wither and die, and i wont shed a tear for them. the democrats enjoy reinventing themselves and controlling the electorate with lies and guilt. that doesnt work for conservatives, and this is why the democrats are populist demagogues, not leaders. the republican party has been playing the populist game and thats why they are losing. a real leader like Theodore Roosevelt or Ronald Reagan will slam the door on the demagogues and get our nation back on track, but this leader will not likely be a republican. he sure as shit will not be a democrat.

conservatives dont change into liberals because they need to change to win. liberals sure do change to conservatives when the polls show liberalism isnt selling well. eventually maybe we will have a real conservative party, but such a party will not take your advice and become populist liberals. liberalism loves to play the weathervane and swing with the mildest breeze, but a weathervane doesnt get shit done, it takes a FARMER to plow a feild.

Democrats? Republicans?
No real difference there...
That's like arguing about which is better, apples or pears.
But do go on. It's amusing to watch the sheep argue over who has the thickest chops for the farmer to eat.

lol.

332-206 is about even?

it was a fucking blowout last night.
Well, OK...they are still counting in FL. But, sure, not really "about even" in the only thing that matters. True. You were right all along. Good game.

I'll go farther and say it seem the Pubs are stuck in a time warp. They seem very un-modern, and behind the times. Any good ideas get laughed at. That's what need to change. It's like it's just moving too fast to fit their Vision. So, get a better point of view, maybe.

IAC, what counts is, one side's voting stance is declining and the other's is gaining. So, I withdraw that and restate.

This outcome was not even close, for very many reasons.
