Has desantis and trump tied for nomination

Polls aren't the most useful metric for predicting anything, really, but they're all we have at the moment that is even slightly better than wild speculation.
It's my considered opinion that IF the democrats don't start a huge advertising campaign very soon, that no matter how much good they do between now and Nov. 24, they may not do so well. They have a chance right now to get billboards up, not only pointing out that Biden lowered gas prices, that democrats helped women retain at least some of their rights, that Biden tried to help students, but was blocked by republicans...but also billboards and ads running that tell you not only exactly what republican in general want to do, but what the specific republicans in targeted areas want to do...that is worth pouring many millions into, and I'd get started NOW.
keep democratic victories fresh in their minds, and republican defeats and crimes.
Of course, this is all contingent upon whether or not the DOJ actually ever charges any republicans for being the seditious low life criminal fucks they are...
If trump, greene, boebert, gosar, biggs, brooks, and goemert get indicted, it will be a seriously damaging and damning blow to the party. If they get convicted, it will change the face of politics...the magats will crawl back into the woodwork, and start plotting again.

What do you suppose possesses people to do something they have to know they're going to fail miserably at?
There is absolutely NO chance she will get the nomination, or win the election. she HAS to know that.
None the less, she's lining up to spend millions on a guaranteed loss.
Is her logic that it will get her name out there as a viable candidate in 28? It Will get her name out there, as a loser. People don't like to support losers, unless they're adorable underdog losers, and nikki haley is far from adorable.
"Between the lines: Trump told reporters on his plane Saturday that Haley had called to tell him that she was planning to run.
"She called me and said she'd like to consider it, and I said, 'You should do it,'" Trump said, according to CNN.
Trump's more relaxed stance toward Haley suggests he could be saving his firepower for DeSantis."
Or, more likely, it could be that he just doesn't consider her a threat.

Desantis will be the next president.
Possibly, but i doubt it. He has no personality behind his fascist front, and no real agenda to help florida, just to help himself and his segment of the party, that embraces fascist white supremacists.

He's a racist, a white supremacist, and a fascist. It's as simple as that, and the majority of the people of the United States won't vote for him.
After the last few elections, where the supposed republican advantage never materialized, you would think they would figure out that they're a minority. Appealing to the people is great, but they're only interested in appealing to those they already hold sway over. That isn't going to win them any elections, it's barely keeping them in office in their deeply entrenched red redoubts.

Who?
I've always liked Booker, but I doubt if he can win.
Besides Booker, Biden, and to a lesser degree, Harris, there's Newsome, Klobuchar, Buttigieg, Whitmer, Warren, even J.B. Pritzker, he has enough money to fund himself...
They all have problems, but they're all viable, and they all have a personality, a distinct advantage over desantis.

You're really stuck on this personality thing. I honestly think that's the least of the issues with DeSantis, and frankly I don't really see that he has any less of a "personality" than most fake politicians. His constituents seem to love him, and he has a pretty high favorability rating. I do agree with you that he has some racist sentiments, which are obviously problematic, but don't forget that we live in a country where at least half the population feeds off racism.

I think a lot of republicans that were grossed out by trump will be over the moon for desantis. Just not being trump is more than enough for them to head back to the republicans.

Desantis is arguably a worse dude, but it provides some kind of cover for them. He is just refined enough that he doesn't have pornstar mistresses that they need to accept to go along with hating the lgbtq folks. It's bigotry they can accept and still feel alright with the lord about.

I'm not sure about that, desantis has a lot of trump's negatives, he's just better at keeping his mouth shut, and not getting caught.
I'm sure some will come to him, but even if they all do, as long as the democrats can field one decent candidate, that will attract more independents than desantis, the democrats will beat them on percentages.

They need to start shooting the ground out from under desantis if they can. If they can paint him as having the same moral failings Trump does, then great. Again though, desantis doesn't make republican voters accept quite such obvious bullshit just to get the bigotry they want.
