I think im going to get a dehumidifier here soon. my room has been 73-75 last couple days and at night getting in the 80s for RH. what is a cheap dehumidifier that will work for a 5x5x6 closet? any suggestions or recommendations are much appreciated

Nice goin on the beans. I've resorted to stackin a carbon filter upon a milk crate or two. the inline-fan can usually set directly upon the filter, sometimes u need a flange. rubber adhesive tape or something can dampen vibration noise

a decent dehuey from the home center usually runs 150-250. it's exhaust will introduce a fair amt. of heat into the grow environment. most have optional port near the reservoir to add rubber tubing/hose for runoff

Day 42 - Day 4 of 12/12
they are stretching a little bit most have grown 2-3 inches in the last 4 days. They are starting to show signs of my inexperience. A few have lighter green than normal coming from the veins i guess. I tried to get a good pic but is hard to actually show what im lookin at. 2 plants have the very tops are droopy (like overwatering or something). another has taco curled up leaves (like overheating or heat stress but this has happened in the last 2 days and it hasnt been over 77 at all mostly 73ish. I plan on adding cal mag and a 1/2 strength feeding of jacks all purpose.
In my veg room I have a few of the seeds are sprouting. the doctors, lemon kush, and afghan all are pokin up. so are a few of the bagseeds . I have a few cfls about a foot above all the pots.

below is a couple pics of the plants

is this just overwatering. only happening on this plant on the very tops.

any comments are appreciated

I'm no expert at plant problems but it could be overwatering. I've been at this for years and get similar problems sometimes. Just keep your conditions dialed in like you've been doing, find the feeding/watering schedule that works best, and enjoy the nice harvest you surely have coming.

Wish I could help ya more. But you're doing pretty ok, trust me.

Day 44 - Day 6 of 12/12
I have found 4 of my 8 plants are female. I cant believe ive been this lucky so far. a couple of the slower starters have caught up and passed the others. the new growth seems to be curling alot less.
18/19 germinated seeds sprouted in the veg room. I plan on feeding tomorrow night. they are almost dry again.

Day 45 - Day 7 of 12/12
I decided to feed today and put cal mag in as well. I measured and counted tops and looked for signs of sex. I have 5 plants that already have female. here are my measurements
name ------ Height ------- width--------tops-------sex
uno - 20.5" - 24" - 6 - F
dos - 16" -24" - 8 - ?
tres - 17" - 24" - 8 - ?
quattro - 21" - 26" - 8 - F
Cinco - 16" - 25" -12 - F
Ses -18" - 26" - 8 - F
Siete - 17" - 25" - 8 - ?
Ocho -15.5" - 26" - 8 - F

I dont know how i got so lucky out of the bagseeds. I wish i knew what they came from, i remember it was tasty and thats why i saved them. now I just need to treat them right and not let them herm. :weed:

Here are individual pics of the progress (i hope to do this atleast at the end again)

so i have 5 females and another that for sure has a few shoots that are female but has a couple other branches that looks different and im thinking they might be herm. Unless they are just swollen or something but they look different than all the others have. Whats funny is the strongest plant from the start still hasnt shown its sex yet. I expected it too be first. but i did top it more than the others because it was bigger.
They are looking good and seem to be growing fast right now.

so I think i may have bugs eating at one of my plants. I have a couple pics below. I took them under the HPS but there isnt any discoloration just pieces gone. Thats why i figured it might be bugs.
any input is much appreciated.

Day 48 - Day 10 of 12/12
I had to pull a plant out of the tent today. It was definitely poppin male flowers on 6 of the 8 tops. The grow room was getting crowded anyways :). I have 7 left, 5 are female for sure and 2 still havent shown sex at all. They have grown 3-4 inches taller since sunday. I put my fan inside a tupperware container for now, it made it much quieter. It was noticeable from the adjacent room but now you cant hear it. now hopefully no company will become aware of whats in the other room
Everything seems to be going decently well but Im really worried i might have broad mites. I read a little on them and am gonna read more tonight but I wont be able to get a microscope until this weekend at earliest. heres a couple pics of the leaves most affected.

I think i am gonna do a soap water spray tonight right before the lights go out. I dont know if i have any bugs but it seems to be just a good precaution. does anybody else do this?

well ive got 6 ladies and 1 unknown for now. Im really stoked i have gotten this lucky. i only expected 4 maybe. I know this question has a lot of variables but is it reasonable to think i might be able to get an oz of each plant. Assuming i dont just screw it up completely?

1 oz a plant is easily achievable. My first grow was all autos n they all were over 1 oz, after throwing out pistols within a few weeks (so the veg time was basically non existent). I think you're gonna be pleasantly surprised come harvest time. Doing great so far man - keep it up.

thats nice to hear. I understand that nothin is for sure until your cured and storing but i cant help but be curious :-D. The only thing im confused and having a hard time with is the leaf twisting issue. its not all that bad but it worries me a bit

Day 49 - Day 11 of 12/12 - day 1 of 12/12 bagseed group 2

so I've decided to put the second group of 8 bagseeds into the flower tent just to experiment. This was actually the wife's idea I have the 10 seeds i bought I will keep them in the veg area and 8 are fem so i hope to have 5-6 in the end with those. I plan to veg them and train them until the first group finishes. I am now hoping the first group doesn't take 10+ weeks to finish. I may end up with space issues and have to talk to the wife into a little more space :hump: if they finish in 8-9 weeks i should be perfect.

day 9 from placing in dirt - These are the seeds from herbies (the doctor, lemon kush, afghan)
the leaves seem a bit broader than the bagseeds ive germinated

added a couple 23w cfl to add some more light to a little dark spot. All the plants are 24-26 inches right now. I have the light 20" away and can only raise it about 6" more without modifying the hanging setup. I plan to lst them out a little bit more. I hope they dont stretch too much more. i started 12/12 i think they were 12-15 inches. they are growin so fast. I love taking pics and seeing progress. Im glad i started this otherwise i wouldnt be able to remember all this shit.
