Day 82 and 44 of 12/12

Well kinda bummed last night my stoned ass decided to tip over one of my plants. And of course I forgot too tie up one of the bigger branches on the plant. It ended up breaking almost all the way off at the stalk. I decided to just finish it off, i dont think it was fixable. I trimmed it all up and am gonna dry it and hope it atleast gets me a little stoned and doesn't give me a headache. Im especially bummed because it was a fat cola on top that probably would have grown for another 2-3 weeks.

heres what it looks like after about 16 hours of drying. I weighed it last night after trimming it and it was 42.9g so Im hoping to get maybe 7g or so. And if thats right ill get atleast an oz from 4 of my 6 plants. the other two might need to fill out a bit more.

So I took some pics last night at lights off. I wanted to show how yellow they have gotten. is this from not feeding them enough? I have gone every other with nutes in flowering.

just normal fading i believe. i get nervous when they stay too green by harvest time.

looks like the stuff you cut down will do just fine.

Day 83 and 45 of 12/12

so over the last few days the buds have definitely slowed down on bulking up it seems like. it kinda is a bummer I was hoping they would continue to swell but it seems like they aren't growing like they were. a lot of the hairs are turning red now. There are not many new white hairs are growing. There is one plant that has some purpling going on.
The last couple nights it has gotten 85 degrees with the dehumidifier on. So tonight im gonna turn on the fan to hopefully keep it a bit cooler. It was doing okay but it got warmer and its been raining the last few days so humidity is even worse. They look really good and smell really good.

here are some garden pics

Day 43 of 20/4

I need to get a cloning set up going soon. Ive read a little but would appreciate some tips or setups that work for you guys.
I plan on cloning early next week and let the girls settle for aboiut 7 days before i put them in flower. I also need to transplant a couple still into the 5gal buckets. I think i might get rid of the 2 toned green "the doctor" it is so much smaller and uglier than the rest. I dont have room for more than 6 plants unless I buy another light (which might happen). There is also another Lemon Kush that is a bit smaller because i didnt transplant quick enough so It might not make the cut. 3 of the 4 lemon kush look really good, 2 of the doctor look good and the White Widow is also looking nice. I also have the 2 plants that came from the same bagseeds as my first grow.

Day 86 and 48 of 12/12
I made my seed order for my next grow. I ordered:
Humboldt Seeds - 3x Blue Dream fem
Humboldt Seeds - 3x Trainwreck fem
Sickmeds - 5x Chupacabra fem
Seedsman - 10x Original Skunk #1 regular
Seedsman - 10x White Widow regular
plus a few freebies. I hope they can make it safely I paid for the guaranteed deliver and stealth. I am gonna try to not buy seeds after this batch, just clone a maybe keep a male and make a little room for making some seeds.
I have smoked a few bowls from what I took down. It is kinda harsh and doesnt have much smell. I have been watching videos and reading a lot because I will be so bummed if i mess up the drying and curing. I ordered a Caliber IV Hygrometer last night so I can keep it in a jar and watch the RH. My house stays between 50-70%.
I plan on chopping the whole plant and hanging upside down for 4-5 days. I am gonna trim the fan leaves off before hanging. I think I just dried it to fast this time. It gets me pretty baked though, definitely all a head high though. not a complete loss at least.
A couple plants are getting close, I think I will maybe be able to harvest a couple by 60 days. Which will be good because I need to get those tall Lemon Kush's cloned and put into flower or they will be pretty tall i think.

here are a couple pics from this morning before lights on

this lady is turning purple and the temps are not dropping, It would be cool to get some purps :weed:

superb.

cloning is pretty simple.

i use these:

i soak a third of the cubes in a gallon of water mixed with three capfuls of this:

for about three hours before cloning.

then i simply cut a slit in the cube so that i can put a clone in there without rubbing all the cloning powder off.

the process of taking a clone itself is simple. find a healthy branch (doesn't really matter big or small, top branch or bottom. i prefer big top branches) and cut it off the plant. should be about 4-6'' long.

strip the bottom foliage, leaving just enough foliage at the top of the cutting. you can even clip the tips of that top foliage to reduce transpiration.

then i like to cut a bit of the bottom of the cutting off while underwater (could be voodoo, but it supposedly gets rid of any embolism), soak the bottom in the solution, and then cover it in cloning powder to slightly above the height of the rapid rooter cube.

i am cheap and use cloning powder from home depot:

boom, it's all ready for the rapid rooter plug.

then you stick the plug into your tray.

repeat as needed. those little tags are helpful for keeping track of what's what.

once the tray is full, i move it to its final location, i pour the solution into the tray, and i put the humidity dome on.

i leave the vent holes on top closed for 2-3 days and then gradually crack them to fully open over the next 3-5 days.

IMPORTANT: clones do not need or want a lot of light. just enough to survive is fine, any more speeds up transpiration, and without roots, that equals a dead cutting. i use 13 watts of CFL over each tray.

PRO TIP: cloning can seem like it takes forever, and sometimes the cutting look pathetic. i live by the motto that if they are not dead, they are alive. they'll come back once they root and get transplanted to a nice soil medium.

this is just how i do it, it is basic and no nonsense, you may find other methods work better for you. for example, rockwool instead of rapid rooters, or just plain old distilled water with no thrive alive, or no humidity dome. you'll get the hang of it after a few batches.

Sorry I havent posted in a while. Life has been happening all over the place. lol. I harvested a little earlier than I wanted because they all started to grow a shit ton of nanners. Also the plants in the veg room were getting to big. I harvested 261 grams total. one of the plants was pretty thin and leafy but the others are pretty nice. I already have my favorite but im trying not to go thru all of it. 4 of the 6 have cured pretty well and are stinky but 2 plants are still a little hay smelling. I am really happy and thankful for the help from here. I have a bunch of pics but my other computer. I will post some up later.

Im going on week 3 with the Lemon Kush, The Doctor and White Widow.
glad I flipped the Lemons when I did they have stretched a little too much.
