Day 79 - day 41 of 12/12
I havent updated recently because my kidney stone took me down again on monday night. It hit me so hard it made me have back spasms that caused my sciatic nerve act up so Ive been stuck in bed until yesterday. I have surgery scheduled for next week. I can not wait to get back to moving again. this shit sucks.

On a good note my wife is amazing and has been taking care of watering and keeping an eye on them. I got a 50 pint dehumidifier today and put it in there. It shot my temps up to 90 very fast so I had to shut it off for now. but got my RH to 40%. any tips on this would be helpful. I think it just was because i was in the mid 60s and it had to work so long that it built up heat. I am gonna keep a good eye on temps and RH. The colas on a couple plants are almost pop can sized now. Im soo excited and I have enough smoke to last so I should have no problem with being patient until 10 weeks or so. But if i could smoke one right off the plant i might have by now :weed: they smell soooo good. but ill refrain I just wanna get it all cured and weighed dry to see how I did. Ive spent almost $1100 now including everything for the start of my second grow and $75 a month in power for 4 months (how long i think it will be at end of 1st grow). I dont think ill make my money back this first time. But im fine with that, this started as a money saving plan and now Im enjoying learning and growing this beautiful flower so much I dont care if it even cost me a little more to have control over it. Its just something that i didnt know i would get so much satisfaction from.

On a bad note I have the 2 biggest plants are starting to get a yellow hue all over. i probably should have fed them last time instead of just water. I do have my digital ph pen now so i can hit that 6.5 mark perfectly. I pinched and bent over the tallest cola and supported it. I hope that wasnt too bad.

I really enjoy and appreciate all the feedback and community that ive found at RIU. I basically have learned everything on here. Im good at sifting thru bs and stuff Ive spent thousands of hours on forums for many subjects (poker,MMA, disc golf mostly) im glad ive made this forum my home for everything cannabis.

everyone is welcome to comment and help me anytime.

my wife is taking some pics of the garden soon so ill post up some pics a little later.

that crop is gettin there!
you may have one or two done close to 60 days. if ya cut up a lil lower 'popcorn' bud now, it won't affect your overall weight.

i'd slice up a few grams good and place it in a paper towel or envelope, then the day you get home from the hospital twist it up first thing.

Day 39 of 20/4

The girls are starting to get big. two of the lemon skunks are about 13" tall now and the rest are about 10". they are growing fast, almost too fast. Im thinking of staggering a couple into flower sooner than the rest I dont know if im gonna take clones. I think i probably should try with these so when I order some genetics that i really want ive already tried and tested cloning. I need to wait like a week after taking clones to put into flower, right? I noticed on my other grow the girl that i topped right before switching is behind and has been since i did that. I topped her twice and put into flower about 2-3 days after that. how do people lst in fabric pots. just bend shit and let it grow back. with the buckets i used binder clips to tie to and it was easy. Im not sure how to tie branches off to sides. but ive also seen some videos where people just gently push branches over and dont tie them. anyways im ramblin

here are some pics of progress.

So i just realized even if i go to all the way to 70 days (which i dunno if it will make it that long) i dont wanna feed nutes after 54 days, because i wanna flush with water the last 2 waterings. so if im on 41 and it will be 2-3 days till i feed again. then probably feed again around day 50 with nutes and molasses ans probably be done from there. then water from there and hope they make it 60+ days to get the nutes flushed out. does that sound right?

that sounds fine, you can feed nutes until the end and just flush right before harvest if you want, or even not flush at all.

i'm not sure because i could care less, but i think seeds take longer than 2 weeks to form/mature. if the haven't opened yet, you can just pull them off.

some plants like to try to pollinate themselves late in flower, it's just a way for them to keep reproducing and living on another day.

if it's just a very few nanners, you'll be more than OK.

thanks yet again :blsmoke: i only found 3 total so i wont worry about it at all. I actually wouldnt mind a couple nugs with seeds. these turned out to be a decent plant i think. I have 2 going in the veg tent but thats all i have and i didnt clone so it wouldnt be that bad if they had a little seeds.

i once had a batch that somehow got decimated in seeds on 80% of its lower buds, all 6-8 plants or so. had no idea how that happened, but the crop was still OK enough. top buds were seed free and gave me enough to get by.

and my former neighbor is now growing those seeds and says they are doing well.

Day I found some pistils on the two biggest lemon kushes and they are starting to alternate nodes now. I dont think im gonna clone these 2 just transplant them today and let them adjust then start them in the flower tent next weekend. I really hope a couple of my flowering plants will be done 2 weeks from now because the others will need to go in there by then. And after i take those out Im thinking about making my veg area a little bigger. I got the okay from the wife so it will be about 2.5' x 5' x 6'. It should be a bit better for getting them ready. I would like to stagger so I can have 3-4 plants maturing every month depending on size

Today was productive thanks again to my awesome wife. We transplanted 5 plants to 5 gal buckets. and 2 others to a big bigger pots We also moved my light to center it more in the flower room. We also added a bit more room to the veg area and another 6 - 23w cfl fixture that I already had so the initial CFL crap I bought is paying off for veg atleast :) I will post some pics up later. I plucked nanners off of 1 plant couldnt find any more so Im pretty sure im fine and if i do get a few seeds cool. i know someone who will grow them ;)

Day 41 of 20/4
I did some LST to the tall lemon kushes they are looking good after bending them they are still about 17" tall I cant let them get too much taller than 28-30 if they stretch double and I wanna keep them from getting to close to the light. I will not be harvesting all of my flower room at once so this should time well. I will pull a couple mature plants and put those two in and then continue the process. There is one plant in the flower room that looks like it has a while still (4 weeks). Its really cool seeing the different genetics. you can tell the White Widow from far away it has a very different looking leaf shape.
I am gonna drop about $200 on seeds and then be done buying them hopefully forever. even though I know I will buy strains here and there. I wanna buy some good genetics and clone from there.
here is my list of strains I plan on ordering
3 chemdawg and 3 trainwreck fem from Humboldt Seed Org
5 Qrazy Train and 5 Chernobyl reg from TGA
5 Blue Mystic fem from Nirvana
5 Chupacabra fem from SickMeds

I really want blue dream but its out of stock on seedsman. so I guess i can do without for now

here are some pics of the garden

Day 81 and 43 of 12/12
two of the plants have faded pretty yellow but these two look closest to done. The hairs are starting to get covered by the swelling and hairs turning red. There is one plant that has gotten the least light and you can tell. It probably has 4 weeks and im pretty sure the fastest two will be done in 2 weeks or so. I am really happy with the yield I hope to get. Just from the looks and a feel of the buds I think an oz a plant is gonna be reached. I am now reading a bunch on drying and curing. It seems very simple and I think i got my game plan down for harvest. I am gonna get some 64oz jars to cure in with some boveda packs. I really wanna make sure I get a good cure on these. to me the difference in smell can mean everything. i love all the different aromas, besides hay. lol

here are some garden pics

here you can see the light is moved to the center now :)

heres a pic of the slowest budding plant, I found a nice little nanner right in the middle of the bud

I dry on window screen and cure in totes......... kinda control the rh w how much the lid is open....... stir em up everyday.... harvesting early and drying too fast are what cause hay.....

but listen to those guys........ luckiest new guy ever.....
