if you use organic nutes, and you use h202 or bleach you will kill off all the microbes with convert organic into inorganic so the plant will uptake it.
so you are correct you must either ditch organics if you would like to run a sterile growing enviroment.
also If your wanting to run a sterile grow, instead of using bleach, why dont you use zone by dutch master, its a cloramine based product, I would def use that over bleach. I have also used sm90 back when I ran sterile with great results.
If you want a simple organic fertilizer, then grab FloraNova Bloom http://www.amazon.com/General-Hydroponics-Flora-Nova-Bloom/dp/B000BNON0Y
there is also a flora line of nutients, which is somthing different, thats more like a micro grow bloom series. where as the floranovabloom is just one all enclusive product.
floranova bloom has everything ur plants needs with all the mico elements, great stuff IMO, I believe the dose is 8ml per gallon.

I ran zone and did not solve my problem. Bleach is far better then h2o2 and zone. There are many threads that state this inclueding the discussion in the last few pages of this thread. Once again, commercial hydroponic greenhouses use bleach @ over 8 times the dose that he will need. It's safe. You know how much money people would save instead of buying products like zone and h2o2 by using bleach...lots! Why pay for those products when bleach does a better job and is fractions of the cost.

ps
Some manufactures of ferts put chlorine in their products already. You can buy them at any hydro store. Read the link in my post on the other page "Bleach instead of h2o2". It will bring you up to date.

I would be careful and use the soil as a last resort. Putting a plant into soil from hydro will most likely kill it. Even more so in flowering.

yea thats deffinatly my last resort, i really really dont wanna do that. i was smoking last night and wus thinking, shes kinda acting as sheild for the other plants, the algea/root rot affects the unhealthiest plant the worst, that means shes attracting it to herself, and away from the few healthy girls lol

i got 4ML clorox bleach running in the system now.
the roots are looking pretty good, iv seen alot of new growth since getting the temps down.
im going to scrub down the entire system tomorrow while im changing the res water.

Looks better already! Nice job bro! Remember to keep adding .5 ppm a day because bleach, like h2o2 it will dissipate.

so jumbo, what have you seen better results with cholrine or h202
im not to sure yet, ill have a better judgment once the lights come on today lol
it only ran through the system for about 10 mins befor i took pics, and turned lights out.
i am on my way to the hydro shop to find a better chemical bloom solution with a wider variety of micro nutes, and will be looking at all the benneficials/organics for the next go round. i think i need ta be a bit more ready for the next run then i was for this one haha

I've done the soil to hydro before.. Plant hermed. just my 2cents
yea iv had a few people tell me that... =/ haha
but if had a few people tell me they do it time after time with no ill effects. im guessing its mostly up to how hardy the strain genetics are.

just got the FloraNova bloom. and another air pump + stones to go into the trofts.
hoping tht droping temps/bleach/having micro nutes i can actually use will get this grow on the right track! lol

I dont know if you can use floranova bloom with clorox or h202. im pretty sure you cant, might want to double check on that jumbo

Yeah, its a little unclear on the GH website,
lots of people use it with h202 though i found from a google search.
Flora nova bloom is 8ml/gal for the lucas formula.

i talked to the guy at the hydro shop about it, and he says its about 15% organic if you break it down. and that the bleach will only kill about 50% of the organics, and that i should be in the clear =]
tho he did try to push all kids of BS products in my face to use instead of bleach.... hahaha

i used 2.5ML per gal(because this strain has always liked about 1/2 strenght nutes), and only 2 ML of bleach. tho i did only fill my res with 18 gallons this time so i have room for more ice jugs =] lol
it tripped me out a bit with how dark the water turned with the floranova, im pretty sure its goona dye the roots brown pretty quick..
