No it’s not that. Hybrid was saying to try and grow pounders without getting his so called “led deficiencies” that shit cracks me up lol. He said it doesn’t happen to small plants under led. So I told him I’ll grow a tree filling up a 4x4. I’ll see if I run into led deficiencies or not.
About adding ewc to coco, I wouldn’t. Coco has exceptional buffering. Amending it throws off the balance between the buffering and cec of the coco and the nutrients you’re trying to use. It’s really good on its own.
Hey, 9m just speaking from 2 solid yrs experience battling it. Glad it cracks u up cuz im not laughing one bit.
Dont think just cuz u grow a big plant & it doesnt get it that youre testing has concluded. About 25% - 30% of the strains i run get it & some leds cause it worse then others.
Maybe its not a defficency but it sure looks like one.
Never see it on the smaller plants.
Well, i guess thats not true. Its apparent on my cuppie which is an led defiant strain im seeing cuz its sister took a hit too.
The 8oz'ish plants in 5's never get it Really. So i thought i was underfeeding some of the big ones but thats not it.
Oh, as for EWC in Coco, its the BeesKnees. Keeps em dark for awhile. Just dont add to much or youll get black/purple leaves (healthy tho) & small N filled buds.
Bout to go back to that myself.

So, my party cup homies, this is probably my last cupdate. She looks almost done and trich's are already 50% cloudy.
Next week I'll show final pics of her and the harvest.

Some oldie for the slideshow..?

And finally lets start again with the oblogatory side, top and bottom view...
side view.jpg top view.jpg bottom view.jpg

Trichomes are cloudy but very little amber to date. Time to flush with ph'ed water..
There are 2 or 3 amber ones...png so time to start final flushing.png

Top cola looks nice and dense and I see a bit foxtailing already.
top cola.jpg

Leaves are still nice and green. There are only a few burned leaf tips because of the higher ppm's in the 2nd half ot the flowering stage. Hopefully she fades out a bit until next week. It helps to get a better taste and curing goes a little faster.
leaves are green besides a few nute burned leaf tips.jpg

All 3 together with sidelights off! The other two are still there and I'll give them another week cause they are still a week behind cause of the late repotting.
all three.jpg

So, that's it for now!

Random, are those fan leaf or bud leaf trich shots? How do the bud trichs look?
She is a beauty. I'll say 28gs easy.
There is almost no resin on the fan leaves so I've just cut off one of the smaller bud leaves. One off of the top cola and one is from one of the side tops. I've such a small clamp microscope gadgets (3 bucks, e3ay) and can not take the pictures directly on the plant. I need to cut off a bit and lay it on a white paper for good results.

Believe me, I am the most surprised myself.
As I said, this was my first coco adventure and even though I tried to water her 5 times a day mostly it was only 2 or 3 times. The coolwhite sidelight has helped a lot and has created lots of nodes and strong twigs in the first few weeks. I think this gave her the strong base she is based on. Till today she needs no support and has leveled herself out perfectly.
No LST other than removing the lower fan leaves and a liitle lollipopping around week 5 and all the rest she has done herself. The other two gilrs look also pretty nice so even with 3 different pheno's it's a good strain to select a keeper! Remember, the "father" was a bluedream which hermied because of UV stress. So its more luck than breeding skills, lol!

Edit:
Will try to cut of a tiny piece of the foxtailing to make another few close ups. Can upload them later if you want. I'll also try to document the harvesting process as good as I can include shots of the root system and the tap root. If anyone wants to see something special ... just ask and I'll upload some more pics.

Gonna have to chop soon, no more room for words on the cup -2pts for those that did not make the effort.
I think I'll be in the 20g ballpark but not reaching potential quality wise. I would like to make a case now for my saucer with a hole as the airtube creates a short circuit for the air and water. What do you say @The Dawg ? It's just a saucer with a hole? Or do you want to see what can be done with organic soil, salt ferts and no cup hole?

Below is a better representation of this TESTER strain, Cojack x Honeybee f3 c/o @genuity of Chucker's Paradise. Same age as cup, but got transplanted and as you can see has a better shot of reaching potential.

Cuppy did not generate the bubblegum/sperament/sage&chapps calogne odor profile of her sisters, but she is part of grander scheme to provide satisfaction in gardening.
