Do your best to drop your seed on 9/4. This thread should be over by 1-1-2021. If you go past this date you either started too late or you don't have an auto.

This is a party cup challenge. To keep things simple and equal, rule 1 is it needs to be a 16oz plastic red party cup. If you can't find a 16oz plastic red party cup then you can't play.

To keep it very simple, rule 2 is soil/dirt only. If you can't find dirt then again you can't play.

Water however you want. Soak, drip, hand water. Any light, schedule, nutes ok. You can lst, crop, super crop if you want.

Again:

One 16 oz red party cup.
Dirt
Seed
Water
Nutes
Light

NO WET WEIGHERS. You know who you are.

At the end you will need to provide a pic of your plant (whole with rootball) out of the red cup right before chopping up.
That's it. Now let's collect our supplies and get ready. bongsmilie

Winner will be based on overall plant appearance and weight and will receive ???????

You forgot rule 3, needs to be an auto.

Seems I can't play. Good luck.

Man I wish I could play but I'm on vacation for 10 days in the middle of September and I won't have a grow space for a few more months. If you do one in the spring I'm in

I've never done a party cup grow... sounds like it would be easier if I was a coco grower but then I wouldn't be able to play

Coco can STILL grow some impressive plants in a solo. That's probably why it's not allowed. The people that aren't acquainted with coco but used it would be blown away by experienced coco users. Soil is much more fair for a competitive grow when the pot size is restricted. Levels the field as much as you can while letring people choose their strains IMO. I don't do soil either, but i hope to see some good grows here anyways.

Maybe we can do a “dirt” and “other”. I hate to leave anyone out. I really just wanted to keep it to a red cup Not a red cup on top of a box. Or a cup in cup. Just a plain ol red cup.

I just started a couple in 3 gallons this week. I’m going to run my red cup along side these so I can be on the same schedule and not have to mix nutes only for the red cup.

I grow in dirt... I just know you can grow some pretty nice plants in small containers and coco...

When is dirt dirt? I am using Root Farm Hydro Mix, not much in nutrient content and fairly loose in texture. Is it dirt? Looks like it but has a lot of granular texture to it. I think it is pretty much dirt but less clay, and because of it it drys out faster. What about adding perlite? Add it to soil and it holds less moisture so the mix dries out faster. Wait, the picture has perlite in it. Wonder how much is too much? Basically makes soil more hydro like and you can feed more often. I have no auto seeds but if I were to use dirt I probably would use some topsoil to act as coco.

Sorry for muddying the water, or better yet, soil. I have no auto seeds so I won't be playing.

I’ve basically been growing in just the basic of bagged potting soil from the local hardware store for the last 12 years. Tried hempy a couple rounds in there. I thought I could keep it simple with “dirt” / “soil”. I sometimes forget ALL the variations.

How about this:

1. One 16 oz Red cup is mandatory. No boxes underneath no reservoirs no double cups no drips. One red cup only. Top water only. (I never said it was going to be easy).
2. Put whatever you want in the red cup.
3. Any nutes any lights.

This is why I simply was thinking.

1. Get a red cup and put some holes in the bottom.
2. Put dirt in.
3. Put seed in.
4. Water.
5. Place under light.

Hell ya. If you want to put a hole on the side go for it. Nothing else but the Red cup though.
I am lazy and really don't have any solo cups at home. If i cut the top off of a 16 oz drink bottle and you can see the label(clear bottle as well) will that be acceptable? If so I'll throw a sees in tomorrow after soaking today.
