I could make a list but it would be toooooo long! You must remember that Rolling Stones mag is “popular” vote. Not a reflection of actual talent! Didn’t read the whole thread but did anyone mention Chet Atkins? I am not country but a lot of country guitarists are phenomenal. Lucas Mann of rings of Saturn. Jared dines Djent guitarist! How about Michael Angelo, Chris impelleteri. Nuno bettencourt.

Yup. Candice is an amazing singer. Watched a few of their castle gigs on Youtube as well. This is the first tune I heard when I caught on to them a number of years ago.

Prince Rogers Nelson. I was fortunate to have seen him perform live. I don't think there was an instrument he couldn't play and if it was something he never played before it would be mastered in short time. One of the greatest musicians ever.

Carlos Santana and Jamie Johnson and in my opinion Jamey Johnson can play some of the best cigar box and oil can guitars that you can find imo now

Two guys who I really did not appreciate as a kid are Jerry Reed and Glen Campbell. Kind of my dad's style of music. But after picking up the guitar myself, I recognized what incredible guitar talent those guys had and how they made it look so effortless. All ten fingers at times doing something different. And they both could pick and sing at the same time. Chet Atkins level guitar talent but other talents as well.
