Your kind of a badass bro. You were gone for a couple days and BAM! you just replied to everyone in one post. Thanks for the replies.
I'll check the RH of the room later today. I only have one humidity meter right now and it's in the flower room so I'm just going to go pick up another at Home Depot while getting some materials for a job.
i wont desert you guys.. lol sometimes i take a day or two off... if i was ever going to vanish i would leave a message...

sorry bro, i mean't "is there a best time during the day to suercrop the gals".

Sounds like you thought I was askin for best time to chop.

Just wondering, since supercroppin is a high stress technique, if its better done @ lights on, or if it matters.

lemme know & preesh bro
lol im a stoner.. read to quick.. missed it i guess..

doesnt matter when you super crop... they will be fine...

i dont consider it high stress at all.. in fact it cause little stress really...

Thanx kaleoxxx well right now my plant is getting like 14 hours of light man the light comes in from two directions all day ill post some close up pics well i have a whole room 12ft x 12 ft well ill be honest im short on cash right now and citral is a mostly indica strain and how tall will it grow and i want it for a spaecial occasion my two relatives got deployed to afghani and iraq so i want it so wen tey come back around sept or october any other suggestions
first there is no way to tell how tall it will get... it will likely stretch quite a bit... and grow quite slowly... window light does not work for growing... doesnt matter how much light your plant gets.. if its through a window your grow will not turn out well...

if you are using sun light though..... and you do let it go.. and it does flower... it would be done around that time frame.. but you will be sad with the results...

normally i would try to give some hope to the situation.. but there really isnt any in this situation..

Hey bro i have a problem with one of my girls. Today she decided to lay over on me. I have no idea whats going on with her or of how to fix it. Heres the pics.

Temps around 75
Nutes botanicare line with additives.
I added some pictures of my other plants there just fine.
it looks over watered..... that would be my guess.. hows the drainage in the soil?? when was the last time you watered?? are you waiting until the soil is almost completely dry before watering again?? remember different plants will use water and nutes at different rates... just because one plant is thirsty and needs nutes doesnt mean they all do... you should try to custom feed each plant based on their needs..

well i was jus wondering wat are some good cfls oh plzzz be specific im a newbie at all this heres some pics of my plants im just using the sun to grow them no light setup another question i have is are they strechhing to fast and i have a fan going in the room to help the stem out more pointers plzzz ill have some ghetto light setup in a couple of days im waiting on payday to get here lol
alright... the basic rule for cfls is the larger the wattage and the more you can have the better off you are going to be... no brand is really better than another... but you want to get the largest wattage ones you can use and as many as you can use... most of the cfls will show the incandescent wattage equivalent and not the actual cfl wattage.. so remember the cfl wattage will be far less...

the stretching is do to the plant stretching for the light.. im assuming you are growing through a window?? that would be why...

I noticed this last night when I was watering the plants. Any suggestions? Could it be nute burn?
back off on the veg nutes some.. im guessing its N burn...

I can't get a good picture of this white stuff at the top of one of the plants. Pretty sure it isn't mold though, it actually looks like a little white flower! It's about the size of an average pinky nail and it would seem it is made up of pedals and isnt just some hairy white stuff like I would imagine mold to be. And I do have good air circulation, I have 2 clip on fans and the air filter fan pulls at 140cfm, all that in a 50 cubic foot tent (about 2.7ft x2.7ftx7feet). Weird, cause I've never heard of marijuana plants having a rose type flower but that is sure what it looks like! o_O

PS: I got out my pocket microscope and tried to get a look at it, again it looks just like a tiny pinky nail sized rose type white flower, and upon 60x inspection it would seem as if it has an EXTREME surface concentration of Trichomes (mostly trichomes with those resin glands/bulbs on the top). o_O ** got a better look, looks like its covered in trichomes with resin glands but the strand of the trichome that the resin gland/bulb sits on the end of, those seem to be super short or not even there (as if the little flower pedals are just covered in resin glands without the trichomes?) *cause the flower dosen't look like its covered in crystals the same way the bud is (also harder to tell since it is white)

PSS: So yeah it would seem most obvious on the one plant, and it along with the smallest plant have several sites only on the top/main cola/bud thing where it looks like these little flower might be coming out (these spots look more like fat pistols than flowers at this point though). Definitely a flower on the one though!

PSS: So I just bought 9 gallons of distilled water for the last few watering(s)? of the plants, is there anything you recommend I do to that water before applying? *micron filtered, steam distilled, and ozonated* Should I do anything like open the lids and shake them once in awhile for a couple days to get more co2 or oxygen in it or something like that? Should I still pH adjust it before applying? What I'm gonna do is this: Feed until the end of the 7th week of 12/12, to help cover my bases (since I don't know exactly how long they will take to finish and how much of the first week of 12/12 will actually count against that) and still get some flushing/leaching/no nutes feeding in before harvest. * I figure this is a good balance between flushing for 2 weeks (possibly longer if I started 6 weeks from starting 12/12 and they weren't ready for 2-3 more weeks) and feeding closer to harvest. *** I will say I do see one definitive advantage to feeding till the end like you do, you will know they got fed enough and not have to worry about them not getting nutes for more than a couple weeks (especially with unknown seeds that could take anywhere from 8- 10 weeks or more to finish)

PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS: Do you use organic nutes up until harvest? There seems to be a general concensus on the net that flushing isn't very necessary if at all with organic nutes (I believe my fox farm 3 are)
PSZ3: Are you sure that Earth Juice pH up is for adjusting soil pH and not simply a pH upper for your water?
THX!!#*: Do you do the whole 24/48 hours of darkness before harvest? That also seems like a good way to make up for not flushing (I'm worried that I might cut off nutes too early *that they might need to flower for more than 8 weeks)

Cool. I'm not using any veg nutes though, just the two flowering ones FF Big Bloom (.01-.3-.7) and FF Open Sesame (5-45-19). Should I flush it or just use less nutes going forward? I think I remember you saying somewhere that you don't see a need to ever flush a plant but I'm not really sure.

whats up sampson, here go some pics of the girls after bout 1.5 weeks of dry.

This monday will be 2 weeks since the chop of the fatties.

The really pungent hay / grass smell is startin to dissipate, but I still yet to have any skunky-funkiness. Hopefully, I just need to calm the fuk down & have some patience.

Just worried that their genes precluded them from bein super skunky.

As you'll see in the pics, trichs are there. & sure I may have had to chop a week early, but I really expected some flava.

Lemme know ur prognosis & thanks for puttin up with me.

Photo girls are finishin 1st week into bloomin, I'm stayin vigilant & watchin for sex every day. I know it prob. a week or so early, but can't stand to be infiltrated again.

preesh bro

thanks a bunch man, things def. could've gone better. But, obviously, things could have been way worse too.

Not to mention the fact that 'ol Sampson is responsible for a large amount of the props:eyesmoke:

For real, he was "virtual" tech support thru that entire grow. From sprout (actually about 3 months prior to sprout while I hemmed & hawed over what type of system to get, lights, fans, etc.). So yeah he totally held my hand from spout, to chop. Literally, answerin all my crazy queries (and dude, I tend to really over-think shit, so sammy has had the fukn patience of Job w/ me for bout past 6 mos.) Ahh, and then all my late night hypothetical questions, yeah wow, Job dude.

I had a few hiccups along the way, but am very pleased with the overall results!

All I really did was follow directions.

Gotta credit Technaflora's Recipe for Success kit too.

Granted, not that I have any basis for comparison, but I've read lots of posts bout (noobs especially) taken a while to dial in what nutes they are comfortable with. But man that recipe (like x10 diff. products) has very concise instructions & served the ladies very well. Both those & some reg. photo gals seem to be lovin 'em, so I believe I will stick with them til I get a few notches on my belt.

But for real, thanks again for the kind words!

I went to Ocotillo Wells to ride with some friends that I haven't seen in a while and was having a great day until a kid on a quad decided to cream me and my bike at about 5 PM yesterday. My desert race bike is trashed now and I get to see an Ortho Monday or Tuesday to get the official rec for surgery on my separated shoulder. That's twice this year that somebody has hit me on my bike while playriding. I guess I should've went racing instead since it seems safer these days. At least we had some good meds :) to make the car ride home not too bad. Had a nice cocktail of MJ, Vicodin and Bud Light followed by a rockstar in the car to keep me awake. Concussion is still f'ing with me though. Keep getting the shakes and nausea whenever te MJ wears off.
Growing MJ is definitely a safer hobby, haha. I think I might be done the bikes this time, getting too old for this shite, haha. (I'm not really old, just talkin shite)

yo bud, hope all is alright w/ ya. I'm sure ya prob. got something good happenin.

But anyway, I found a rooster in the henhouse today dude. Just a few started showin sex tonight & i remember that look of that motha as if was staind in my memory. Yanked him immediately.

You got any idea of the success ratio of supposedly "fem'd" seeds. I paid my nuts off for good breeders w/ femd beans & thats 2 for 2 w/ a dude poppin up.

anyway, i hope ur well. autos are startin to come around. i'm jus burpin & they seem to look nicer by the day.

holla back when ya can:bigjoint:

I started my flowering for a month and a half now. There are only a few pitols that are appearing and some look brown and unhealthy while the other ones look white and fine. Also, my lower leaves are drastically wilting while my top leaves are fine. Im a noobie so your help is greatly appreciated. Heres my grow info;

Indoor in soil with 250 w HPS light.
water when the pot is light (every 3-4 days). Use to spray the leaves to feed the nute but just started new nutes and pouring it in the soil.

If that is what your plant looks like that far into flowering something isn't quite right. How many hours of light/dark are you giving? Unless you know the exact strain and what it requires it should get 12 hours of total darkness every day (12 hours on, 12 hours off, 12 on, 12 off, etc).* it looks like maybe you have a light leak, because I'm pretty sure no strain would have so little evidence of flowers that far into the flowering stage (most plants show within the first week of 12/12 and are going pretty well by the end of the first month). How far above the plant is the light? It is quite tall and not very dense. You should definitely be feeding it nutes via soil. Foliage feeding doesn't do much except in specific circumstances I hear.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I'm on my first grow myself, but I like to think I've learned a lot. Not sure what happened to our resident god in this thread, he hasn't responded in days, but some of us know a bit ourselves.

Please post about what nutes you are using, how often, how much, how far above the light is, what soil you are using (what is it a mix of?), etc. And we will be able to give you better advice to hold you over for a few more days, because it looks like simpsonsampson420 is pretty busy with something

PS: On the very top of one of my plants some of the little leaves look like their edges are a little ink, and some look like they have pink around the middle of the leaves. I'm worried it is mold, but I got out my microscope and it didn't scream mold to me. Plus I can't find anything on the web about pink mold. It is a very small amount, and I think maybe it might just be a nute problem or something like that...

Hey all, while our resident guru is on hiatus, does anyone know when girls in bloom do their most stretchin?

Just tryin to plan for space.

They are pretty much finished stretchin by week 4, correct?

thanks

Yeah I believe so, I was told I didn't need to add veg nutes (high N) after the 4th week. The fox farm feeding schedule reflects that as well. So you should be good!
Hey I got a question: When using co2 enrichment, what is the maximum cfm a fan can pull air out the top of the tent without pulling up the co2? *I'm contemplating using some dry ice sometime
