in nature my plants get bird nests. fuck the rain, the buds are water proof. prolonged periods of high humidity or moisture bad. a nice litlle shower, perfect! millions of guys drench their gardens with mighty wash, adn do not develop mold thereby proving it wrong.shake the water off, adn put into humidity controlled enviro.
make it rain does not involve spraying the plants. make him read the thread. i would also advise reading riddle's other threads, as there are nuggets in them as well. uncle ben is also an excellent resource.

I know I've seen video documentaries of garden tenders spraying the buds directly...not sure if it was some pesticide or a nutrient bath. I've still got much to learn. I appreciate your guys' 2 cents.

I just bought some floralicous plus which is an organic based bloom enhancer to add to my normal regimen and @ $35.00 for a pint...I'm hoping I see some serious results. It does make like 60 litres so it's gonna go a long way but I digress...
Yesterday's feeding was 3 tsp bloom, 1 tsp micro + hardwater, 1 tsp grow, & a little less than 1/4 tsp floralicious plus and today the plants seem to be responding well. No burn is evident and lots of yellow is disappearing from my 1 plant that had a lot of yellow...success!
Buds are filling out and extending up the entire stem forming large colas that should fill out plenty more in the 5th & 6th week. It's exciting everyday opening the tent to see all the additional frost and bud girth that's added on a daily basis...so what the shit man...here are the pics....evidence of a solid 1st grow.

8 days since last update and plants are doing very well. I have 1 that is stinking of pure vortex, 1 that smells like fruity pebbbles, and one that is just a downright hashy earthy plant. Can't wait to start smoking samples. Pics below...comments welcome. I think I'm at about 4 weeks 6 days....I really gotta get a clock on that.

I have been dosing them at 100% every feeding + floralicious + @ 1ML / Gallon (max) and floralicious + each watering as well.
They're still on a feed, water, water, feed, schedule and I'm utilizing the MIR technique every other water so there are no salts building up in my girls. So far no nute burn and no signs of slowed growth. Buds are beginning to fall over one another and some have required assistance standing up already with clips.
Murfy: I don't know what my ppm is from my tap water but my cal-mag must be right on b/c I have not supplemented any and my girls are thriving well.

Yessir it is. I've yet to burn my girls thanks to that watering technique. It's so simple but so very vital to a healthy plant in soil for a new grower. My ed rosenthal book has really helped me dial some things in that I was unsure about. I've learned some basics that have reassured me that I'm on the right track and I'm preparing for my very last feeding followed by 2 weeks of flushing. I'm even going the extra and getting one of the flush additives from GH to assure there are no nutes making my buds tasting chemically or any shit like that....not sure if it's worth the money but time will surely tell. I'll post pics once a week until finish and then the chop.....I think I may do a newbie tutorial for tent growers after this is all said and done. Just kinda like to contribute something back to the community.

skip the snake oil. flushing is only used by guys who don't understand curing. the plant is full of sugar, not ammonia. when you cut the plant it thinks it's drowning, due to the fact it is no longer recieving oxygen(through it's roots.) the plant undergoes a response in which it uses the sugars, and the humidity out of the air to perform fermentation, resulting in alcohols, which do other things, but also oxygen. this is the smae way plants keep themselves alive durin flood situations where the root zone is initiated.
this process will use up the sugars that will make weed yucky. basicly the plant eats itself from the inside out. cut the plant. hang it in a sealed enviro. use heater, humidifier, de- humidifier, air con, to keep the atmosphere at 70*F. 70% humidity. keep it dark.
then what you have is a giant humidor, with enough moisture in the air to provide for fermentation which allows the plant to eat itself from the inside out(same as flushing), while keepin the sugars flowing for the plant at it's most critical stage of growth(ripening). use a fan to circulate the air, so as as to get mold. you will notice that the leaves turn yellow, and get all dried and shriveled up, even with the 70% humidity, and it keeps the buds at just the right moistness. i usually leave them this way for 2-4 weeks. then i trim and seal. buying a large humidifier with resevoir capacity for several days is good. letting the buds dry out at this stage is not good, and kills the cure, forever(biological fermentation).

I do a water water feed water water feed regimen...in the feed regimen I do 100% of recommended nutes and then 1 of the 2 waterings I make it rain. That means flushing a bunch of water through your pots to eliminate residual salt build up so you don't get nute lockout. I usually run 3 gallons though each of my 5 gallon pots and that seems to do the trick just fine. Usually don't have to water my girls again for 3-5 days.....just my 2Cents

I thought I'd take a video of my tent today in hopes it would show better detail than my crappy phone camera but it didn't turn out very good. I'd kill for a damn droid or iphone but alass jonny is too broke for such devices so this is the best I can do for now...enjoy.
They have a little less than 2 weeks to go still. I burned them a little a little over a week ago with a strong feeding and have since flushed them and will resume feeding again @ 50% at the next watering which will most likely be tomorrow. They're going dry after 3 days now...really sucking down the juice.
My gameplan is to feed 1 more time and then finish with just h20 and floralicious plus all the way to the bitter end. I will harvest when trichs are 80-90% amber....jonny likes to be stoned when he smokes. Piss on that awake high bullshit.
