You think I care how y'all portray me? In the end I made a comment (friendly one, at that) and then he comes on dissin' me. It's crazy how you both are portraying me as the attacker, when I didn't start anything.

And that comment wasn't 'immature', it was how I felt about his problems. Fuck his problems, that's how I feel.

I sometimes feel like telling folks to %#@^ off. Yet I don't. I feel no need to broadcast my negitive feelings in the goal of bumming out others. Perhaps that is the way you roll B, but hey dog, like snap homie, that was way uncool.

I'm so done with your input Yo.

Have a good life again, good luck.

Out.

So you're trying to be funny now? Idk why I'm arguin' with a washed up old man with a pony tail spraying his plants with peppers. Continue on with your thread, I'll unsubscribe so you won't have to listen to me "bum out" people who start shit with me.

Bwpz be nice. and please refrain from posting your controversial opinions, it doesn't do any good. i have a lot of opinions too but i'm not going to say them flat out, i just water em down a bit.

also people mighty wash is: water infused with peppers(and garlic). this is just the homemade recipe, they are basically one and the same, except one cost a lot less.

i wouldnt advise spraying your plant with salt though, since salt absorbs h2o... it will suck the water out of your plant and thats not good.

Take a real cigar and put it in some water. Let it soak. Then spray the plant down with that water. Should work.

I'm going to keep this on standby when I run my first grow.

I definitely wouldn't do that. Don't they use bad chemicals and whatnot when growing tobacco? I wouldn't want that on my plant...

Not sure about how "real" cigars are made though, could be a completely different process.

Thank you for your moderation, and additional information.

Yes, even I keep a pan of shucked raw garlic open on the floor next to one impeller fan.

There is truth to a tobacco wash. Yet in my studies I have found tobacco simply an additive to other organic washes. Bugs can overdose on nicotine, but getting the critters to smoke a pack is a whole nuther can of soup, as they are usually underage ;) lol!

Spending time in Nature, and getting to know the woods helps one's mentality mature to a much higher understanding for life, respect the land and it will respect u. i think that getting outdoors and going on hike or something might help you focus on your own mind and understand how your comments are negative, if you truly put the thought into it, it's not that hard to realize that what you said was blatantly disrespectful

i don't know about spraying your plant with tobacco.... but i have found that watering with tobacco tea/juice kills bugs in the soil, like root aphids :)

i suppose it might work in a spray but probably at the cost of your buds smell and taste. i'm sure in veg it would be ok though.... i mean if the plant can handle drinking tobacco tea i don't see how a folair spray could be worse

The organic chemist and biologist know that all life is fragile. Look at how fragile our plants are. Thin layers of cells that can go bad with the least little turn of the bitter universe. Bugs, molds, fungi are all alive, and depend on homestatic conditions to thrive. Tweak just one varible, and the house of cards - that is orgainc life - spirals out-of-control and typically ends in death.

Any chemical that is not part of the life cycle of a particular organism is probably not conducive to health. Concentrations of many naturally occuring chemicals, protiens, enzymes, molicules, viruses, bacteria can detrimentaly affect any living organism. The goal in natural pesticides is to throw the infectious life out of balance, so it sprials into death, without toxifying the survivor. Not hard. Experimenting with naturally occuring solutions should be in the back pocket of every devoted farmer. Know by doing. As one evolves and grows - adding to one's personal lexicon of knowledge - the experienced grower will be able to forecast and eliminate problems, both when they happen, and before they occur.

Balance and harmony is alway the goal. When preditory mites get out of balance, it is up to you - the plant caretaker - to tend to your crop, hopefully using the least invasive solution to ameliorate the problem.

May peace be with you all, always

Information is solid man. I'm gonna pick up some habaneros first thing tommorow!
Chems are bad, Organic is gold PERIOD! Nature intended plants to be grown organic. Mama always said....if it ain't broke don't fix it
Anyone questioning this guy should maybe put their ego's aside for one moment and open their mind to a safe organic alternative.

question Calibuzz
How do two-spotted mites respond to continuous treatment? Their offspring often become accustom to my organic sprays so i have to rotate between 3 different ones in order to kill the hatchlings.
Its a bitch and a half to do, so this sounds a lot easier than what i'm currently doing on my gardens. Seems like they wouldn't be able to become accustom based on the fact that you are essentially eliminating the food source for them...is this correct?

"Real cigars" are 100% natural.
No chems and grown in dirt. Expensive cigar companies usually take the same pride as we organic growers do for herb as they do for tobacco

My father is a long time cigar smoker, in fact i was just sippin a snifter of some B&B and enjoying a nice 10th year anniversary Rocky Patel with him the other night. Candy for big boys :] mmmm

I can not answer all your questions in detail about two-spotted mites, as I do not know your situation or standard procedure.

However, I offer this information. As in bacteria reproduction: natural selection has poised genes to hopefully allow some offspring to survive a harsher condition (like one particular organic remedy, as you have found out). This is natural. Yes some of the mites and offspring will express an enhanced resistance to any pesticide, natural or artifically manufactured.

Here is my suggestion> Make sure the mites are all dead when you make the switch to caliclean treatment, ensuring no survivors to reproduce. That is the answer in a nutshell. It is good you switch it up, I do that myself with a few organic washes periodocally.

If I understand your last Question...No. Once upon a time some spiders learned to eat plant sugars and chlorophyll for food, instead of other bugs. These little spiders are mites. Mites suck leaf cellular fluids and cytoplasm. If you burn them with pepper spray they die like a human would be if dunked in acid. Once the leaf is coated, for the mites its like sucking on a redhot poker, burning their mouth off. They either burn right away and shrivel, or starve - as you have destroyed their ability to feed.

Plus, a day later... its as if you never sprayed a drop, and nothing remains but a few dead mite carcasses, and some unhatched eggs. Your herb is sweet and unmolested.

That's how it works.

Feel free to drop notes from time to time and best of luck with your good garden, brother!

Thank you for your inquest and feedback!

Peace be with you

Two spotters are far more resilient than other mites and have been plaguing cannabis for ages, all eggs coated absorb the insecticide used and somehow when they hatch the same insecticide doesn't affect the survivors. Your information definitely describes what is happening!

As far as my last question, you basically answered it.
"Once the leaf is coated, for the mites its like sucking on a redhot poker, burning their mouth off. They either burn right away and shrivel, or starve as you have destroyed their ability to feed."

Eliminating the ability to feed not the food source
I should have worded it differently, my bad ^_^

I like the fact that your spray doesn't linger and breaks down over time. Many oils that i have used affect the taste and smell of the bud negatively which is why i don't spray my buds at all in flower.
I have been using ladybugs in flower but they don't do a damn thing against these bastards! I'm trying mantis at the moment but it looks like the egg pods i purchased were dead so i'm gonna get more and try hatching them in a controlled environment then release them. So lately i have been keeping my plants alive just up to harvest by hand killing mites which is a daily task, and washing them plain water when the mites form webbing.
My veg and clone rooms are under control with my current application techniques but i have been looking for a good flower remedy that i can spray in case my natural predators aren't doing their job.
i really hope your spray works but ill let you know for sure in a week or so and ill include a smoke report on the taste/smell when ready. I have been harvesting this strain for a year every week so i know when the taste is affected or not.

Keep up the good work man!
knowledge is power
what are your degrees in if you don't mind me asking? I'm currently going for my AS in biology to one day get my masters or phD in Molecular Biology
I'm only 19 though so I've got a long way to go :]

QUICK NOTES:

Pre med in Biology, UCLA. AA in criminal justice, BA in green sustainable management, pre-law at Pepperdine.

I might suggest that the eggs are not absorbing curative and changing to meet the threat epigenomically, but they were destined to hatch by virtue of stronger natural resistance in mite or egg casing.

If you are going all the way in MB, then you'll be teaching me someday. Keep it up young man! Good. Never stop learning!!!

You will discover little or no taste difference at all. Make sure YOU WASH AND RINSE AND DRY FLOWERS 8 hours after spraying, use CLEAN WATER!!

Dude. lady bugs are way cool, but they are typically overtaxed for the job. Mantices are good for larger bugs like aphids but only larger mites are prey, not so good. Yep, you can crush em with the finger, but what a chore. I'm glad to see you are up to it and keeping it under control. Dude, after the caliclean you should get to a point where you never see a web again - ever!!!

Keep your environment very cold for a few days! 68 degrees. Mites hate cold!

Stay on top of it. I know you shall suceed, you have the right stuff and attitude.

Buuya!

Peace,

calibuzz
