What does that even mean in context to what I said? If you practiced what you are preaching you'd leave mine alone, right?

Hey kiddo my karma is my own :) and I'm not worried, mind your six darlin'
Say what you must to cover up the nasty comment about poisoning dogs. Thats bullshit, no one around where I live would ever put up with that. Calling me kiddo when your telling someone to posion a dog? Type up another smooth response like everyone else when I call them out. Dirty.
I wont say anything else.

Cover up? Instead of obfuscating and insulting try clarifying. You call me out and you do the ad hominem, LOL

You've gotta do something, properly.
Poisons and bats are not what to do.

But really, is that dog that attacks people unprovoked on the street while leashed, not something to make an official report about?

This whole thread is screwed up. There's nothing saying the proper authorities would do anything to the dog, unless it had a history.

If it had a history, well so be it what ever that may be.

Will you reconsider the official report?

I'm a dog lover, but I love my kids way more than any animal.
I know you understand, and I in turn appreciate/understand the love of dogs, but will you rethink your decision?
The thing is, we needed an official report from the hospital to do this and proceed, this would result in a 'denuncia'. As the dog had papers proving he was vaccinated my bf didn't want to go.

All I can hope for is that he will never leave the house without the muzzle. The fact that a record has already been made should make a huge difference. Much more so than me kicking off in the street and beating it.

I understand your point, I don't have kids but so what? My friends have kids and I'd be devastated if it happened to one of their toddlers.

If my dog ever bit anyone Id give him such a beating right there and then that the person would probably tell me it's enough. This guy did nothing.

I didn't know if you had kids or not, but I only asked you if you could live with this decision if the dog attacked more people, you brought up kids so I incorporated them in my question, partly because of your mention and because I have kids of my own.

Beating the dog will no do no good, that dog your beating may decide to give you one back in return, at any given time.
Never hit your dog! That's a way to make dogs aggressive, and make them feel threatened by so much as a friendly hand looking to pet it.

If it boiled down to not wanting to go, that was up to you guys. I just hope you don't live to regret the choice. I know I'd feel guilty if I could have helped prevent something and made the decision not to.

No, it's the opposite I'm afraid. The reason the dog went for me was because it wasn't reprimanded at all- ever! It's fine to hit a dog for the right reasons. Newpapers, empty plastic bottles with pebbles make for great trianing tools.

How do you think I had control of a German Shepherd when I was 11 if it hadn't been for the training?

Dogs respond to hierarchy within a pack. The owner is supposed to be the boss and the dog is bottom of the pack. If the owner allows the dog to display dominance within any group and especially it's own, it's therefore challenging the owner. This is because the pack leader wouldn't allow dominance within the group. So sorry but dogs need strict training. Then there wouldn't be the need for beatings.

Not quite sure why you think I should've allowed the dog to bite me and do nothing. The owner tried to protect it from me ffs!!

The oh so helpful neighbours, whom were told to be quiet from the police mainly all had children and opposed me reporting it.

So in other words, had this dog had a beating or two when it was a puppy it wouldn't be one step closer to death row now because of me.

It's attacking even when it's ON THE LEASH?

I've started its record of history today. Today is his first reported incident. I've set the wheels in motion for this dog to be destroyed if it does it again.

I did not say do nothing.

I've had pets, mainly dogs my whole life. I didn't grow up with a malamute husky/wolf cross born and bred in Churchill Manitoba for sled racing by beating it. That dog would have killed me when I was 9 and it wasn't more than a puppy if I had have beaten him or treated him in a threatening manner.

I wouldn't have had German Shepards or st Bernard's that didn't kill me either if I treated them like that.

All I said was you should have made a report to proper authorities to protect others.

Now I will say, you, should not be allowed to have pets until you learn not to beat them.

My dog is one of the best trained dogs in this area. I didn't beat him to get him to behave nor did the German shepherd school teach me either. However if he is aggressive towards another dog Id smack him one. I'm not cruel at all, just strict.

This dog has never been told off. I can't understand how if you've had dogs you think a simple 'No' will suffice? You know it doesn't.

You've clearly stated you will beat a dog to make it behave. Too late to change your story.

How do you know what that dog has been through? Perhaps it's being beaten at home too and is refocusing its aggression toward others it perceives as a threat?

That's what dogs do, they feed off of your actions, composure, posture etc and they react. You obviously don't understand your dog.

the owner listened to me and it was because he was on a lead and I was walking behind my wife and children I didn't follow thru, didn't need to I could see by his tears and shaking he had got the message, but if I was on my own and I got bit then ide pretty much do what ribeana said, its not sensible to have a biting dog in the city, ruins childrens lives forever if they get bitten, kill it end of story but humanely with a bat no poison ffs and don't lecture me about children, whats a nulliparous cougar gonna know about children lol
How do you know the owner paid any attention? Not like you reported it?!

That guy turned the corner and forgot all about it. Our neighbour didn't. That dog prob bit a kid since.. Smh

Can't believe you did nothing and you were out with the whole family. What if it had been one of your kids? You just would've told the guy off? You didn't even get him to beat his dog? I doubt you would've kicked it like I did today, but that's me. It cowered straight away when I did. You should have done something. It's all too easy to say to someone else that they should have done something when u did nothing.

You should've got your missus to give it a kicking. I bet she gets plenty of practice at home, cupcake. :)

Wow. Wtf.
I retract the statement I made to someone in which I said I thought you were better than that.

I can't promise you and you can ask @KLITE that I never have any problems with him. I never ask him twice to do anything and my dog walking friends ask me for help with training. I don't believe in those spike collars either. Training is about patience, consistency and rewards (from time to time).

I've mentioned that this dog is a neighbour. I've seen it misbehave since 6 mths and they won't tell it off. They have let it get away with it for 2 years and now the trouble starts.

When my dog was young and raided the bin, I'd use the plastic bottle then for example. Not a big deal.
