Cranker's Guide to using Pre-nuted Soil and not failing

Decided to throw up my counter to Subcool's super secret soil: Cranker's super secret Miracle Gro product only mixture. I'm just going back over my math on the nute formulas.

Soil Mixture

MGMC 3 parts
Perlite 1 part
Peat Moss 2 parts
Bone Meal 1/2 part

11 4 9 - final mixture

Nutrients:

During Veg: MG Tomato Food 8 12 12 (1/4 str) and MG Acid Lover 30 10 10 (1/4 str)
During Flowering: MG Bloom Booster 15 30 15 (1/2 str)


If leaves begin to go deep green, in veg swap to 8 12 12 (1/2 str), in flower swap to liquid cactus food 2 7 7 (1/2 str)

Since this thread has done a pretty decent job, I'm going to add a part about lighting, heat reduction, ect all via walmart (easily accessible items) for the people just starting out or looking to save money.

Anyone with suggestions on what to add to this before I make the final version? I'm doing a small thing on lights and exhaust.

One thing I'm adding to the re-write is usually you don't need to use nutes during veg, maybe once or twice. The directions on the nutes are really for larger plants so they'll be ok without.

good job cranker!!! it really isnt about what is hot at the hydro shop give the plant what it needs & it will return the favor i let mine feed on the nitrogen until my bottom leaves show first signs of nute defiency & gradualy ease nutes into the picture although im using gh floranova its because i have it on hand from my hydro grows i see no reason you couldnt use wal-mart nutes & get the same if not better results than i have if applied carefully im pretty impressed with my results so far im also gonna go back & read your entire thread

Nice thread bro. Been frequenting the forums for quite some time but this is only my second post. I am trying out a CFL 12/12 bagseed party cup grow and was wondering, generally, how many squished nitrogen packets should i use in each cup? When you say 'flush them' do you mean flush the N packs separately or flush after you've added the soil? Also, since I'm doing 12/12, should I wait the three weeks and do one round of the MG Tomato and then switch to flowering nutes, or should I just skip the MG Tomato altogether? Thanks in advance. + rep'd ya

im using MG moisture control compost and just added perlite to it and was wondering a few things and this thread just answered all my questions big +rep to you Cranker
