Best Light in the $300 dollar range? Small homegrow

Big time stoner here.

Small indoor homegrow only for personal use. 3 x 3.

2 seasons outdoor exp. First time indoor growing.

Want the best quality / potency bud. Will attempt "all the bells and whistles" (UVA / UVB / Cold / Extended Dark kill / long cure ) etc

Which board to go with?

The reviews on the Aglex 2000 are really great, largely due to the COBs, perhaps?

Everyone says HLG / Samsung diodes "the best" .... ? AC Infinity ION Board using Samsung Diodes?

Seriously leaning towards a pure COB light setup. Like this. The Quad Board peeps seem to think COB puts out a marginally better product..... ?

With that price maybe Spider Farmer, Mars hydro etc. Check out that best deals threat!

You're going to want between 35-40 watts per square foot roughly so your looking around 350 watts. That's true watts from the wall and not advertised watts. Lot's of good lights in that price range. Like mentioned above, the Best Deals thread has some good, cheap lights to look into.

In the pic you can see how easy it really is. No soldering required for this build. Everything plugs into that little junction box (wago connector). The aluminum L strips that make up the frame can be bought at Home Despot or BLowes. They are easily cut with a miter saw.

A couple of these would do for 9sq ft

The space is not a true 3 x 3. Maybe a 3 x 2. Its underneath a set of stairs. I like the idea of adding a COB light. Also will add UV light at flower.

Will probably go with the HLG RSPEC 100 x 2. Has a Canadian site.

Total cost will be around 700 for lights. I'm willing to spend that extra 400 to make sure light intensity is A++++

Hold up man. I think you should think some more. The HLG's are great, but they have better choices, and I have the 100's and 288's.

You may not need the cob, especially in veg.

Agree. 2 x 100W HLG in a 3ft x 2ft space may be more then enough. The 100W COBB being overkill.....

Thank you bro. This sounds advanced for me. I would definitely try a DIY kit, but run it outside, in a GreenHouse. I live in a large building. Don't trust myself with a DIY board for my first indoor grow

It's up to you. But for $700 you could get some sick shit. Just don't buy anything yet and get some more suggestions first might save you in the long run.

You can get better stuff for less is what I'm saying. Even 2 of these in a 2x3 would dominate. For about $300 after the RIU10 code.
