Mars Hydro TSW 2000 would be "perfect". I love mine. I use it in a 4x4 and it's too small to fill my space, but for a 3x3 it'll smash, it's also the older model so it's always on discount. Buy direct from Mars or save a few bucks on eBay, but not so much on Amazon.

You can get better stuff for less is what I'm saying. Even 2 of these in a 2x3 would dominate. For about $300 after the RIU10 code.

Could I hire an electrician to wire the boards together? Seems like an obvious question. I'm really cautious. I don't want to experiment and do it myself and risk any fire.

It's super easy. You don't need an electrician. Electrical tape and a Phillips screwdriver is all you need. Wire cutters are helpful, but you could get away with some sharp scissors.

Agreed. Can use 2 to shine down from different angles.
Sure. I've done that before.

Alright. I'm pretty much sold. Thank you !! If I need help, I know tradespeople

Why would HLG sell DIY kits? Instead of pre-assembled? Whats the point of this?

I agree. I’d much rather have one HLG 300L than two HLG 100’s.

In your opinion, what is better?

1 x 300 Watt board

OR

2 x 150 Watt boards
