for my grow i used a carbon filter for my vented air then had ONA crystals that i left outside the closet just to prevent any smell from when i opened the closet from stinking up the rest of the house. haha yeah i love variety too but and would love to try growing a sativa but dont know if i have enough space to get a good harvest off one... that and i hate the long wait lol

Homer,

Great journal/thread. I am growing a g13 Amnesia Haze I got as a clone from a Norcal dispensary myself right now, so I am following this with great interest. You are doing a great job on the postings. Can't wait to see what happens when you flower them.
hey dread50, great to have you on board, and awesome to find another g13 amnesia haze grower! +rep for posting. is this your first grow? how far along is she? feel free to post a pic here if you want!

hey optics, yeah i need to get another ona gel as well as a carbon filter dealio. concord dawn over at his thread got one of these plug-in carbon filter/fans, they're supposed to work so they seem like a cheaper easy fix, so i might try that first, we'll see. the sativas do grow like monsters, but i think it's all in the LST... if you bend them at the right places when they're still pliable, you can mold the plant how you want (or so i think lol).

your pretty much right on the lst of a sativa plant... i think... lol.. my first mini plant was a sativa hybrid... prolly mexican genetics... but, yeah... i think youll be able to control that haze of yours.. im personally pretty curious though... your grow will be what helps me decde on the skunk seeds i got laying around...

This IS my first grow. I am four weeks into flowering. I had a pretty rocky start and she is looking a little rough. I have all the various recommended books, but am trying to learn from people growing the same things who obviously have experience with successful growing. I know that Sativas are difficult to grow in a small space, but I much prefer them to Indicas and am hoping for the best.

Again, I am really enjoying your journal and thanks for the detailed posting. I am embarrassed to ask, but what is the +rep thing?

Someone went to Harborside. I got a few of their amnesia haze x G13. I am curious to see what the final product looks like. Has anyone done this strain before?

I confess, that is where I got mine as well...

All I know about this strain is what I have read online.

sounds good optics. i just installed the "hamilton beach tureair odor eliminator" so i'll let you guys know if/how it works. came recommended from concord dawn and picked it up over priced at a hardware store for $30. rip off, but my lady (human) needed it asap, so hoping for the best lol.

micro, my man, i didn't realize your first grow was sativa hybrid, that's cool. so i guess the pressure's on now, huh? if i manage to tame my sativa, we'll get to see some micro-sativa action from micro.grower, that'll be awesome bro.

hey dread50, no probem dude. that's what this forum is all about, growers helping each other out, first timers old pro's, everything in between. the +rep thing is like adding reputation to a person if they helped you out or made a good post. you click on the little start on the left, below their name, next to "journal this post"... eventually reps add up and you get more "dots" after your name. just gave you a +rep for asking lol. and definitely happy to share any info with you on growing this amnesia g13 strain... you're 4 weeks into flower now? how are those buds lookin/smelling?

thanks allforit! the plants are doing well and they appreciate the love lol. i bent them a little more this morning and redirected the light to encourage the new branches to grow a little taller so i can do the final (?) tie down. congrats on your seed popping by the way, and good luck with the rooting and everything. i'll check out your grow in a bit.

Have you heard anything good?? I have seen nothing about it? Damn they have a shit load of strains
hey, welcome to the thread raiderdan +rep. yeah, i guess all of us picked these up at the same place lol. i've read that it's an uplifting sativa high, creative, and leaves you in a haze (hence the name amnesia)... here are a couple links:

http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/G13_x_Amnesia_Haze/Dampkring_Seed_Bank/

only time will tell i guess, but so far it's growing strong, the main stem is getting thick and hard. i'm gonna make some final lst adjustments in the next few days and on to flowering!

Well, since this is my first grow it is difficult for me to compare them to anything, but they look and smell great to me. They are not very dense at this point, but they have quite awhile left to flower - and I am hoping they fill in soon. Smells great. Looking forward to seeing yours in bloom!

sounds good dread50. you should post a pic (here if you want) so i can see what the flowering stage will look like :)

thanks monk0 for subbing. i'm sure you can give me some advice on lst'ing even if it's using a different type of material lol. i just lst'ed again this morning, in a rush, and accidentally pushed too much on the two tops of one of my girls and cut the stem at the joint. it was still hanging on so i decided to leave it on with no splints or anything and see if it recovers by itself. lesson learned: don't rush the lst!

new pics coming right up everyone...

hey folks,

everything i'm about to post is from saturday, just didn't get a chance to post it earlier. first, i wanted to share some good news from saturday. i went to the "hempcon" in san jose, cali, basically a huge pot convention and expo. long story short, i picked up 5 seeds of "sage og", which look fantastic. the strain is supposed to be a sativa dominant with relatively low odor (and i took a whiff at a mature plant they had as a demo, and it basically smells like sage). plus i got a great deal ($20 for the 5-pack). i'm gonna be storing them for a while for sure, several months (if not longer), but it's the first time i've ever had any real seeds, so i'm excited :weed:

ok, on to the pics.

the first pics are of blue cream going through her 2nd LST. i'm trying to show how i bent the branches and re-tied her up. hopefully this is instructive to some of you...

blue cream, day 16 from clone (jan 29), before LST:

pushing the branches to either side:

tied up in her new position:

same dealio with amnesia... before lst:

bending:

new tie job:

Finally they can take a break in their shiny home:

quick update... after one day of this, i untied them to let them relax a little, and after another day (this morning), i re-tied them. i was a little too rough with amnesia and kind of snapped one of the two new tops. it was still hanging on, so i left the branch untied and i'm hoping it will recover. wish her luck!!

peace all

Nice man...I am digging your future LST hooks! Thats brilliant. Your babies look good bro.
thanks archy! those hooks are great, self adhesive, support 1 pound each, and pretty cheap. quick question... did you ever untie your branches during flowering, or are you just keeping them tied down until the very end?

thanks optics, that branch is gonna need some help. i had to rush out of my place this morning and didn't even have time to splint it together... i will know tonight whether it surived or not... and for sure i will be doing a thread once i plant those seeds, no doubt! it'll be a while though, these two ladies are a handful on their own.
