Going to sound kind of schwag Moe but if you really want to run that cloner and not change anything take a garbage bag and hopefully it fits snug around your res but cut off the bottom with a razor so its a tube.

Then fold it in half so you can still see through it and pull it over your res leaving a couple inches stick inside this way when you close the lid the bag will pop back up on the inside and the water will hit it and not go into the crack. Not sure if you catch my meaning. If not I will do it and take a picture for you.

I to have always had great luck with aero cloners. My auroura pops roots in 5-7days and has a root mass big enough to plant in what ever by 2 weeks.

So what do you guys think of my new set up ? lol.

Its not totally done yet. I haven't decided if I want to connect all the buckets and have them return to the res. Or really simplify and keep it like a flood and drain table and drill holes either one the bottom or maybe an 1 1/2 up from the bottom so that a little res will stay in there for the plant when its bigger ? Oh and the drippers which aren't really dripping but flowing are on a 160gph pump which is on a CAP-ART. I have it set for like 10secs on and 10mins off i believe.

Anyone have any questions or comments ? lol.
Aye... So whats happening here then? :-P

Looks like you have the perlite sitting in 'top bucket' with holes in, this drains into the lower bucket and out onto the table. Is this correct?

Are you planning for the roots to pass through the top bucket into the res below?

Looking very interesting though. Nice work.

Cheers. I can't go the binbag route though. Its these make-do-and-mend issues I need to get away from in the Aero-cloner, I already have a curtain inside that works but the glue comes undone after a while

Aero-clones do work well but you need the correct tub. I'm even considering buying a ez-cloner and using my own pump and spray system.

Moe - sorry about your table man, I would be pissed too.
Cheers Man, you try and save money and it evens up costing 20x more. lol.

C'est la vie.

...an ez-cloner will cost you hundreds bro and you'll still have a learning curve, ...i'm telling you man, the passive approach is way better.

if you insist on using something more complicated then just build yourself a bubble cloner for under $50.00, ...here's a couple shots of my old bubble cloner that i used for more than a year with great success until i switched to the passive approach, it just seemed too simple and cheap for me not to try, lol. ...once i DID try it i retired this bubbler and it's been gathering dust ever since.

The very first cloner I made was made using a small craft storage rubbermaid container with 1" saw holes cut into it and an pet store air pump/airstone. I made my wife cut out 1" inserts out of a garden knee pad (made of neoprene) that I bought for $2. Ghetto status, and it worked! lol

Yea I do. Shes an 03. had her since 05 but Im not driving her right now. I built a new motor, got new shoes, hopefully a new paint job and I have to finish the wire tuck. But it will be out this year for sure. It was tuned by me on meth before on about 30psi stock evo 9 turbo ported and I would run 12's flat @117 /w a 1.7 60ft. It would have been an 11 sec car but shitty all season tires had no traction at the track. spin all four through first till second.

As for my table yah I picked up the idea from another guy here so I cant take the credit but he grow's massive 1lb plants in 50l pots. I don't want to grow tree's but I do like the style and ease of everything.

I did a aero/dwc mix last season when I quit. Worked well and I would scrog four plants in a 4x4 tent and get a lb a month. with a 1k hps.

I built my own UC this time around thinking I would like it and I was going to continue to grow in a scrog but do a 4x8 screen with 4 plants still with the under current's growth rates I was expecting about a month veg time. But with all the water it uses and the nute's you use and throw away I'm not really liking it. My set-ups before were 10gals max while this thing is 30-40gals.

So I decided I'm going to try a few different things while I'm at it.

This hempy set-up seems nice so far. Setting it all up was easy. If i want to add more plants its way easier than building a new UC system and less expensive. lol. It uses way less water and its not wasted. I have the flood table elevated with the res below it and the flood table drains into it via gravity. There are holes in the 5 gal buckets in the bottom. The grow rocks inside are to keep the roots inside and not clog the holes.

...lol, yeah man, i had to let my wife go, it turned out she was a 110lb hemmeroid, ...she gave good headache though.

...and if you look close you can see i used pipe-wrap insulation cut into 1 inch pieces to hold the clones in place.

Thanks Bozo.

No, Im not trying to over-complicate things but if I want bare-root cuttings then Aero or Bubble are the main options. I will go passive but it might take me a week or 2 to get my head around it.

In the meanwhile I may pick up an air-pump or 2 with air-stones tomorrow morning. I already have the Box with holes cut out (actually have 2) and the neoprene collars.

Edit;
Out of interest, why did you stop with the bubbler?

Evo8Emperor? - we've got another car guy in our midst... You drive an Evo 8?
car guy here as we'll. I used to own a evo 9 with tein fully adjustable suspension, turbo back exhaust, dyno flash, all the bolt ons. My next step back then was a fp red on meth. image.jpg

Hempy guys new year and trying hard to have my showcase come soon.

I just picked up an RO unit and started using it. I'm getting a cubic a$$ ton of waste water along with it and was wondering what everyone does with this?

Do you just let it run down the drain? re-purpose it for something else? I hope to find a good use for all this water and a good/easy way to use it.

I checked my "waste" water and it is 10-15 ppm higher than my tape water and just a bit higher PH that my tap so I can't imagine it being all that bad for something. Maybe a 25% waste/75% RO water mix?

Thanks for the help, I know there are plenty of people on WOH that are creative problem solvers and think out of the box

Generally most just run it to a drain.

ive scanned this thread but its near impossible to read the whole thing haha. I want to order my nutrients ASAP. My setup will be finished sometime this next week so im getting ancy. lol.

What nutrients have been found to work the best with the Hempy method? Ive been hearing good things about the General Hydroponics line but I want to be sure since this is for hempy. Can anyone recommend a good "package" that can be purchased online? I dot care to use a bunch of different sweeteners and boosters, just basic nutes with maybe something extra. Let me know whats out there, ill keep reading

GH nutes work well. I go with GH Flora, I just use the Bloom and Micro parts and mix at the Lucas Ratio

What grow medium are you going with? Perlite, CoCo, Mapito?

Some are using Canna CoCo A+B. in CoCo Hempy's

Basically, any brand of nutes are going to get you there, even the much maligned 'Miracle-grow'.

awesome. Too be honest im in between going with hempy or using my aero setup. If I do decide to go hempy ill probably go perlite/vermiculite miixture. If I go with the aero ill probably run the Dutch Master line of nutes

Love car guys - either of you autox your Evos? I have an 05 EP3 chassis civic (Si) - i skipped this last year due to new axles, front calipers/rotors, clutch and motor mounts but I was just looking at the local autox schedule, I am ready to get back out this season. I need new tires though. I have owned my EP since 06, bought it with 6 miles, I have just under 133K now lol I have been looking at a K24A2 swap (TSX motor); with bolt ons and tuning only I could run 235+WHP with that setup. Not Evo power, but I've always been a Honda 'N/A is best' fan, I have seen too many bolt on turbo kits each Honda motors...

Honestly man, aero is far more difficult than hempy. You will like hempy; I suggest you start with the basic GH trio line and mix at Lucas or the label recommendations.
