Both my C99's from Female seeds (shown earlier in this thread) grew the same with killer buds (2 out of 4 in the pack). I will do them again one day with the added knowledge that they stretch like crazy during weeks 1-3. The height restrictions in a 6'6" tent was something to deal with.
What should I expect if I go straight to 12/12 with 6-9" clones? 3X stretch, or more? How long in 12/12 for the c99? Longer than 9 weeks?

Now that I am going to be running 2 X 1000w, I do wonder if I could get away with vegging for 5-7 days, add a few inches of veg growth before throwing into 12/12. This last batch all ended up about 16-20" max and I can keep my lights at 12-14" from the tops, making me think I could veg for a bit, add some growth and root mass to supplement bud growth, ending at closer to 27-32" in height with the lowest branches cut off. I feel like my light penetration w dual 1000s would still allow for a single stalk that is a bit taller than I am running now.

Arrrrggggghhhh. Bought the wife a new Lenovo Yoga with a 3rd gen i5 processor and SSD....lightening fast it is....but what a suck-ass operating system Win8 is. Geesus, they made every thing like a dammed smart phone. Thankfully I bought the touch screen but shit, you are so limited you can't do shit with a freaking mouse in the start screen. You have to know a bunch of keyboard shortcuts to do what was once a simple click away. They do have a Win7 desktop you can resort too but there isn't even a freaking start menu on it. I'm computer savvy and I'm shocked at what Microsoft just pushed down our throats. Hold off hempy, brothers.....don't even go there right now. They have some serious work to do at Microsoft. Just Google it....everyone is pissed that paid money for it.
Reformat with Ubuntu 12.10 :)

Edit:

Jela10, we share a lot of the same passions.. Music, gardening, computers.. more to come for sure.

So, I snip a lil plushberry last night because I just had to know what this stuff was like... There's no other place worthy of this review than WOH since we're all debating what to try next. Here goes nothing...

Plushberry (Black Cherry Soda pheno)

At first glance, you notice the deep purple on the inner side of the flower. It looks a little pink on the outside too. Smells of a musty grapish. Totally deserves at least a month curing to get a real smell and taste. It's just covered in sugar... like it was rolled in pixie dust.. I cut a few chunks and pulled out the herbal aire (bag). You can't smoke weed that isnt fully dry yet, so vaporizing is truly the best way as far as ingestion from a taste/buzz prespective. I quit smoking several years ago, but in my day, I would roll the finest of spliffs. Blue Rizla King size. I'd lick one end and place the other on an angle. Couple it all with a tippy and just twist it thin as far as you could go.

Upon inhaling the plush, I'm greeted with a very fruity taste. I can't tell the dr pepper taste that eveyone claims it has, but I did notice the fizz taste. Immediately hits your body with a perfect tingle. My wife is in LOVE with this strain after the first puff. Clear head-ed no real couch like feel. I'm in a great mood and could totally jam on my guitar... preferably something melodic at this point.

10/10 and it isn't cured. I would try and find this pheno. If I could give you all cuts, you better believe WOH would be plushing the ever living FUCK out of this strain!!

Awesome!!! Nice report, look forward to the finished product and cured smoke report :) Plushberry and GDP are the 2 top in my next to get.

I got my first 2 clones into their new 16oz hempies. Plan is a few days after I know they have hit bottom they will go into their 2L's :)

Dank, congrats on quitting smoking. It's a hard thing to do and I've been there too. if you play guitar as good as you wrote that report while stoned, you are one talented person. Either that or the Plush God's rushed in to your spirit for the moment of spreading the goodness of the strain. I simply have to get some seeds now.

Believe this or not, my C99 was ready in 56 days 12/12.. Can't tell you the size you will get with your technique. Mine was ≈20-24" tall after 3 weeks veg if that helps. It was bushy untill 12/12 when the main stems took off like rockets and left the bushes behind. My guess is with minimal veg, you will wind up with some "poles".

My 2012 "Hempy Year in Review"....can't show you anything untill Feb as I had a bubble-ponics run that went haywire and girls went to soil as a last resort. All these are hempy buckets of coco except the last one in mapito. The first set were 3.5g buckets and the rest I used 2gal's.

To start here is DinaFem's "Sweet Deep Grapefruit", tall plants and big yield. Smelled just like grapefruit.
snap00244.jpgsnap00245.jpgsnap00246.jpg

Next was a single autoflower named LaDiva, a cross between Blue Berry and Diavolo....great yield for an auto and lovely blueberry cream smell/taste. Look at at that 1" stem!
snap00247.jpgsnap00249.jpgsnap00250.jpgsnap00251.jpg

Next was an auto from the Joint Doctor, called EZ-Ryder, an AK-47 cross. Whopping yield.. hit the 4oz mark with a sour grape taste and a sativa like buzz.
snap00252.jpgsnap00253.jpgsnap00254.jpgsnap00255.jpgsnap00256.jpgsnap00257.jpgsnap00258.jpg

Suddenly out of town a lot due to a death in the family, so I threw down a couple of Attitude freebies in case something when wrong. The short one is Trinity Kush and the larger on the right is a CH9 "Cluster, a cross between Amsterdam "Flame" and Ed Rosenthal's "Super Bud". The CH9 was a killer yield @ 4.5oz, the trinity kush was a poor yielder with just one nice top (next to Coors can). I will grow the cluster again one day.
snap00259.jpgsnap00260.jpgsnap00261.jpgsnap00262.jpgsnap00263.jpgsnap00265.jpgsnap00264.jpgsnap00267.jpg

Next came the C99 from Female seeds...it exploited the height limits of my tent but was the best smoke ever in my life. Taste is up there too...
snap00269.jpgsnap00270.jpgsnap00271.jpgsnap00272.jpgsnap00273.jpgsnap00274.jpgsnap00275.jpgsnap00276.jpgsnap00278.jpg

Now in progress is the G13 Pineapple Express growing in Mapito...today is 32days of flower...smelling good...two pheno's though...one on the left is frosty already and a little sweeter smelling...not pineapple smelling but more a tangerine or the jellied candy called "orange crescents".

Hey Guys! I am thinking about picking up a Bag of Roots Organic Coco Fiber at the Hydro Store today, cause that is basically all they have, and I am thinking about getting into some Coco Hempy runs to see what kind of difference it makes, and wanted to ask,, what sort of prep does the Coco Need? As well as any other tips that will get me off and running in the right direction? Oh and will my GH Flora Series work just fine with it??

I tried to do a search on this thread, but it quickly changed to the Mapito experiments, Sorry if the Coco Discussion is Redundant, You would think I should know all of this by now.

Rusty, doing a quick look at Roots Organics I see they are meticulous about washing it so if indeed it is bagged then just add it above the perlite res and transplant your clones/seedlings. You won't have to water daily as with perlite at the start, just fill the res half way at first and wicking will take care of young plants for days until roots hit res. Any hydro base nutes are going to work including the Lucas variations, just get some cal/mg and run it as an additive from the start at the prescribed dose on bottle. Coco tends to leach cal/mg from your base nutes. Unless you are working with compressed bricks of another brand that need expanding and rinsing, it will seem almost too easy. The results are rewarding however and it is reusable with additions of Cannazyme or Hygrozyme to eat up the old dead roots.

Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Good thing I have plenty of CalMag on hand. Thanks for the breakdown Jela!!

What an amazing collection of 2012. You truly are a very talented grower. I can see the perfectionist in you too. I look forward to following more of your grows in 2013 and will cheers you with a 2 gal bucket. My interest is certainly peaked with the mapito grow medium. Moebius does bring up a good point with unknown sources of PU, various colors / dyes, and wondering if they somehow leech into the plant. Leaves one to question, but time will certainly tell the tale. Coco is most definitely next in my future. There's quite a large bag of perlite that needs to be worked through, but eventually it will run out (especially with 2 gal buckets).

Thank you all for your concerns and advice I am not dead robbed or in prison. The guys turned out to be legit. I been to their op and they will never see ours. A bunch of hippies actually. I know this deal could've went the opposite direction. I know I should have listened to you all but I've been selling for over a decade and a half and I just went with my instinct. Any who I need more strains for sog Hempy grow, so what would be a good commercial strain? Critical mass and c99 have already been ordered. What's a short flowering high yielding strain?

I agree it could have been better :) It was a result of the plush berry buzz. Random thoughts smashing into each other
"Random thoughts smashing in to each other"....never heard it put that way but you are exactly right, some highs are that way for me too...:hump:

Hey Rusty, I've been running a coco/hempy setup for a couple of years now, thread here: https://www.opengrow.com/topic/42444-feroces-coco-hempy-perpetual-grow/

I recommend rinsing coco fiber before the first use, even with the premium bagged fiber. I've had a few too many plants burned by salts in unrinsed coco to be comfortable using it as bagged. After rinsing, pre-charge the coco with a light nute solution before using.

Any hydro nutes will work well with coco fiber...but I've had very good results using the CNS17 line. It has enough calcium/magnesium to support the plants with no additional additives and is relatively inexpensive. Using RO water and CNS17 means never having to check pH again, dead on @ 5.8 for Grow, 6.1 for Ripe. Every time...ain't used my pH meter in over a year.

Tips...oh yeah. Keep the coco on the dry side for seedlings and clones, if you keep it too wet the roots won't establish well. Once the plant is solidly rooted, no worries, water away. Check my thread for more tips, if you can stand to dig through my ramblings...

Great,, I will certainly go through your thread to see what's doin!

Dont have to PH Huh?? I hear those claims, but never have been able to reproduce them myself.. I remember AN's PERFECT PH, that never gave me perfect PH.. Maybe I will give the CNS17 a look and try some trial cups to see how things work out before moving it into my 3 gallon buckets.

Thanks for the Tips,, definitely being logged :peace: I am picking up my Bag on Wed, and gonna dip my feet a little!!

I think I turned another soil grower over to the Hempy side today :hump:.. He took some extra clones off my hands, and is a Fox Farms Ocean Forrest Grower, so I spread the Hempy word, and he was Off to Home Depot for a BIG BAG of Perlite.
