yes, the Organic Growers Choice, without time release nutes. i'm gonna get slammed for telling u it works, but it is all we can get here, so we use it, i mix, 1/3 MG, 1/3/ Perlite, 1/3 Vermiculite, 1 Tblsp Bone meal, 1 Tlbsp Blood Meal, 1/4 cup Dolomite Lime. sometimes, depending on the strain, i will add 1Tblsp of Indonesian Bat Guano, Flower Mix, and 1 Tblsp Bat Guano, Flower Mix.
i add Super Thrive to the water, i never PH my water, it's well water and runs from 6.0 to 7.2 , so it's not whacked out enough to worry about.
i also use some 1/4 " square hardware screen to sift the MG through before i mix the other stuff in, it has a lot of wood pieces in it and that can cause problems later. make sure to get good drainage from the dirt by putting lava rocks or something in the bottom of the pot.
hope this helps, if i can help again, let me know!! GROW ON !!!

I grow cheep. I have grown with the regular MG potting soil, with time release ferts, I start the seeds in a pete pellet an put one under it to keep the new roots out of the fertilized MG soil (got some burn on seedling before). I foilar feed for first few monthes every other week, cause theres plenty of N in the soil, then treat it regular.

I'd just like to say, I use mg organic soil and mg all purpose plant food(veg) mg bloom booster(flower)
& I had no problems with my my LR, and skunk bagseed grows.((see sig))

my thoughts is, mg works good with "easy" to grow strains.
but if your growing an "exotic" or "high end" strains, you need to have your nute's precise.
with all that said, it comes down to experience.

check out this thread(you might have to read through some BS, but info is pretty good)

anyone that would slam you for this info, is a perfectionist. MG is ok for growing, it's cheap and works. I used it all the time, but have since moved on to better organic stuff, but more expensive.

i started with time release and moved on to organic mg you need to add stuff but you are in control of your nuted. Tis a poor craftsmen that blames his tools

I use miracle grow and have never had a problem. I just notice if it says feeds for x amount of days I never add nutes until about that time. Of course I ussually mix the miracle grow 1/2 - 1/2 with my own personal compost and I get good results.

If I was a perfectionist I prolly wouldn't buy mg but I'm not so yeah. I do what I know works and I know this shit works fo-sho. hahah I'm ripped

The key to using the MG soil with nutes is watering....Only water every 3 to 4 days and your plants will be ok....If you water more than needed you will burn your plants to hell.....

The only guys that slam Mg are the one's who grows indoor. I have always used MG for outdoor grows, it works perfect. Just dont start seeds or put a 1 week old plant in it if it has ferts. Other than that, no problems at all.

does watering the soil make the nutrients release faster or something?
