I use them and my best advice would be start at 1/4 and move up from there until you burn them and then back it off a little. Each strain is defferent.

Keep the soil moist but don't over water them! And Also keep some sort of humidity dome over them. I have some seedlings right now in some party cups and and I went to K-mart and got some smaller party cups that were clear. They fit right in the tops of the party cups that the seedlings are in right now. Once they get a couple of sets of leaves you can take the humidity cups off of them once a day for longer and longer each day until the seedlings get use to not having the humidity domes.

i've got 3 plants all hermied and are seeding slightly. I am almost finished flowering. Do I have time to final flush or should I chop right now?

Well... if you have seeds already then I don't see the point of tripping out now...

I say flush 'em. Give 'em time to finish. Remove what male stamens you can find.

Harvesting early without the flush means you get a bunch of immature seeds, immature trichomes, and a harsh smoke. Flushing and waiting means more viable seeds, more mature trichomes, and a smoother smoke. Not like what you're going to get will be great or anything... but you might as well make lemonade from lemons at this stage.

This is my first grow and I'm just getting started. I need a little help. After germinating the seeds, when I plant them root down in soil, do I put them under lights right away or do I keep them in darkness until they break through the soil? Last week I had some planted that I put under lights and being cautious not to overwater, they ended up drying out and dying without ever breaking through the soil. Now I have some in plastic bags with nice humidity, also under a light. More are still germing in papertowels and will probably be ready to plant tomorrow. So light or no light before they break through the soil? If it matters I'm using CFL's for veg.

That stuff looks like 1/2 strength Cal-Mag. I think 3ml per gallon is fine for a foliar feed if you're tap water is a little soft.
They don't list anything special in there. Little Calcium Nitrate... that's good stuff I guess... But nothing special.

I can tell you that I turn the lights on when I expect the seedlings will be above ground soon. I do not germinate in paper towels and risk damaging the fragile tap root. I place my seeds directly into coco peat and allow them to do things the natural way. Generally it takes 80 to 100 hours before the seedlings show, so sometime around the beginning of the fourth day I turn on the lights and leave them there.

It is up to you to keep the sprout happy, don't blame the lights for "drying out your soil." If you watch you can plainly see when the soil is dry. You should have added an ounce of water every other day at the least to keep the area around the tap root moist. I suggest you do that in the future.

Coco peat is amazing at starting seeds in. You don't need some whak ass paper towel on a cable box on a plate with plastic baggie, etc, etc BS. Just put the seed in the wet coco and keep it wet for 4 days. Boom, plant is above ground and in a mostly inert media. Feed it a little superthrive or rhizotonic with a fair amount of water and in 10 days from sprouting you can transplant to soil, or a Cocofiber cup, or whatever method you prefer.

1. What kind of hydro?
2. What kind of soil?
3. Carbonated water will kill your plants. It doesn't provide them with Carbon Dioxide. Think about it. If you drink water with a lot of dissolved oxygen do you need to breathe? Of course you do, different systems completely.
4. What kind of lights are "all the lights you need."
5. Never heard of your nutrients but you probably have too much nitrogen and not enough potassium. Calcium and Magnesium levels are also a total mystery?

I could provide a lot of advice but it looks like you're not looking to spend any money and expecting some killer shit. I can wish you luck, but if you have access to the internet then you can order anything online... which means you have access to more than Walmart, you just can't afford it.

My advice to you is to put aside $800 and get yourself a tent, an HID light, some ventilation, some real hydro nutes, ph/EC meter, and a respectable Aero or rDWC system. It will pay for itself in one harvest, and from that point on it is a money saving/making machine. Coin-op man, you gotta pay to play.

Awesome... so for me, personally, should I wait till the sprouts break through before turning on the light?? I am using a coco mix to plant them in after germinating. I am totally more aware of keeping them moist now because of my previous experience. If this is something else that is a matter of preference I'll probably get a bunch of different answers. Seems like that happens alot. Anyways happy growing all. Hopefully I get to see some green one day soon.

So here it is. I dont really have much experience in the indoor growing scene, first off. Been an outdoor grower about 6 years now, done pretty good thus far. Life's a learning experience. So I have this freebie seed from the Attitude, a fem White Domina, got her when I ordered my Auto White Widow seeds. I planted the widows in some coco, but ran outta coco after 4 pots full. I'm just initially doing a seed run with them, so figured 4 should be ok. But anyways, I popped this WD seed, she sprouted, and I didnt have anything but peat moss to put her in. Pretty sure the ph dropped too low and locked out the N from the soil, as she suddenly looked really pale yellow and unhappy. So my dumb ass flushes her, then bombs the soil with lime dissolved in water. Mind you, the ph was about 4.5 prior to this. I took a reading after the flush and bomb, and the soil read 5.9 so I thought I was good. I took another reading just for shits and giggles, and ph is now hovering 8. Can I cut and re-root her like a clone, or is there a more viable alternative to this toxic situation I've gotten myself into? I'm pretty sure if you lime soil, its there for the long haul, no? Respect for the help.

Here is the book you need.

Can you Please use some punctuation? That is hard to read, then understand. Learning here is very possible but many give partial or plain wrong answers. That book can be your Bible to grow.

Hello! I have a question and need some help so I think i`ve come to the right place, I`ll cut straight to it, I have a 4" 3week old plant thats been growing indoors for 3 weeks and I have been forced to move it to the roof, no one can see it there, the roof is clean, here is some sunlight info for my country at this time of the year:

Sunrise at 6:43 AM in direction 116° East-southeast
Sunset at 5:03 PM in direction 244° West-southwest
Duration of day: 10 hours, 20 minutes (34 seconds longer than yesterday)
Sun in south at 11:53 AM at altitude 38° above horizon

The temp ranges from 18-25 degrees

Is it going to flower soon?
Its only 4" what would I expect my yield to be if it does flower?
Can I prevent it flowering?

Cheers
