hi guys,
On the breeders pack or website where it says flowering time (if its a photoperiod strain) is it the time you allow for growth before changing the light cycle? Or is it the length of time it flowets for? If not how do you know when to switch tne lighting?
Thanks guus!!

There is autoflowering and photoperiod. This pertains to what makes the plant flower. Auto flower will automatically flower regardless of the light cycle. Photo period requires you to change your light cycle to 12/12 before it will flower..

Auto flower will not veg as long as you want.
Photo period will.

The number of weeks or days after it the estimated amount of time for it to finish flowering..

i have yellowing perlite:

i think this is due to no ventilation/air movement so the pots arent drying out quicker... ive only used a very weak nutrient solution during the transplant, then it dryed out nice after a week so i watered it with plain distilled water and that all sounds fine to me, i believe it would be from either:

-the salts in my water - which shouldnt happen becuz im using distilled water
-over feeding- which clearly i havent done
-not enough airation - which i suspect

ANY COMMENTS!?

You should use the search function, I found this is less than 30 seconds. First one's free..

It's just a stain, nothing to worry about.

No worries man, That thread is kinda old, but nobody had any problems with their yellow perlite.. You would think atleast one of them would have posted if it became a problem, I think you'll be alright dude. Don't worry about it. Of course try to find out more about it, but I wouldn't worry..

Ok thanks tym, what is the ideal length of time to let your plant grow/ height to get to before you change light cycle?

i have a plant my friend gave me and he shocked the hell out of it and it just started to grow good but now has a def. problem but i dont know which one. it starts in the older leave at the tip as a little white spec and then moves up the leaf and its like a really light reddish yellow its like there being burnt off.....

There is no ideal time. Some people wait till the plant is 3 feet, some do it right from day one..
The longer you veg, the bigger it will be..

Can I run the exhaust straight into my room and also air intake from same room? I don't want to make a bunch of holes in the walls or run exhaust into small attic area, because I'm not sure if it connects to my neighbors condo.

Yes. Just watch your temp, if the room you're venting in to gets to hot, you may have to open a window or vent that room..

Yo im a new Grower And i got A dresser That is roughly 2 ft. deep ,4 ft. wide , And 4 feet tall. i got foil to reflect heat/light (cause i read that u don't have to worry about heat spots as much.) And i Am gonna use 6 6500k cfls For the veg stage , And 6 2700k cfls for the flow. stage. i got a little fan for ventilation. Will this be a good setup For 1 Plant?
Help would be appreciated! bongsmilie
My dresser is identical to the one below View attachment 1347331

Hi,
Just germinated my first few seeds!!! What size pot should i transplant them to? I might be pruning them so would 6 inch pots be enough??? Or will i Need larger? Plants i am growing should grow about 50-60cms.
Thanks

6 inch pots will cover them on the lower end. I'd go with 10 inch pots (3 gallons / 12 liters) for plants that size.
