13 inches from canopy. Yeah I was planning on raising the light, just not sure how much. Right now the plant is growing an inch every 4 days maybe, so when I leave I'll probably raise it 6 inches to be safe (if I stay in veg) If I flower I can expect over an inch a day probably... thanks for the help man.
yea i would jus wait till u get back to flower..but it's all you my ninja..:joint:

I would, but it's still a work in progress. I keep running into barriers at work that give me little time to work on it at home. Im starting to get really worried for what to do while Im away.

Basically, I bought a 5Gal bucket from Home depot, and was planning on it being a gravity drip system. I'd place the bucket on top of my cab, and have drip piping snaking down to the plants. I bought a timer from Home Depot as well. Sounds easy right? Nope. The only timers they have at HD need 10psi to operate, so the valve wouldnt even open.

Option2: Buy a zero-pressure timer (probably what I will end up doing) (They dont have them at any stores other than online)

Option3: use a small pump and pump the water out using a timer with minute increments. Tried this but wasnt getting consistent flow every time.

Option4: Place plants on porch while away, and hook up to existing drip system. Only 8 hours of sunlight a day which would induce flowering :(

Keep experimenting, sounds like you've got some good ideas. I was looking at something like this ( http://www.dripdepot.com/132 ) for my setup, not sure if you want to spend more money. I think option 4 should be an absolute last resort. You don't have a friend that you can trust to take care of your girls while you're away? I had to leave town for 3 days while my current babies were still vegging and only a couple weeks old and had a friend stop by my house to water them, showed him how to do it and he took great care of them.

Unfortunatly I live out in the middle of nowhere, and my nearest neighbors I wouldnt trust enough lol. I like that system but how would you moniter watering? Im trying to find a system that waters thoroughly every 3 days or so. They make timers like that, but they all have terrible reviews or need pressure to work... :( I WILL find a way lol.

Not exactly sure but was thinking of timing how long it takes for it to do a thorough job and then set a timer that would be able to initiate and terminate the watering period. I've only just begun contemplating a watering system since this is still my first ever attempt at growing and figured I'd wait till the next to maybe try and set one up, but for now I'm just looking for ideas. Best of wishes to you and finding a way. I'm subscribed to this so keep me/RIU updated with your progress, I'm also going to continue researching this and will let u know what I find. Someone somewhere has to have done something like this and have some instructions posted.

That does look nice. Im taking a trip to Ace tomorrow to look at more timers; see if I can find a gravity one.

Plants are looking really nice. Growing like crazy. Both plants are now 8 inches tall. Both are getting 1/8tsp per 48oz of 20-20-20. No nute burn.

Welcome! Here's one last update until I leave for vacation tomorrow:

Temp lights on: 85F
Temp lights off: 72F

Both still getting 1/8tsp of 20-20-20 per 72oz water. Wappa is still smelling very earthy and sweet. No skunk, diesel, but very sweet. BM still is completely odorless.

Wappa is 10 inches tall with 4 thick stalks working their way to the top. BM is 10-1/2 inches tall; very thick foliage.

As for what I'm doing for watering while on vacation, I decided I only need to my drip system to water for 5 days as my baby can survive for 4 days with no water. So, I bought a 5 Gal bucket, drilled a hole, stuck some drip tubing in there and ran it to my plants. Im going to heavily water the plants tonight with probably 1-1/2 gallons each, then let the dripper keep the soil moist for 5 days by having a very small amount of water come out. I know this isnt the best for the roots but I ran out of options :(

Yeah I should be harvesting at the very end of October as well. I think these girls are getting really close to maturity. Thought I saw a preflower on Wappa a few days ago so that's a good sign. Cant wait until I get back to flip the switch (or feed dying plants :() But I'll think on the bright side.
