this is pretty cool.

You might be retarded, but I'm not.....

One of the problems with the setup in the picture above is that maintaining consistent nutrient and pH levels throughout the system becomes difficult the further down you go.

Dude i didnt even read all this. Your numbers are fucked. An octagon has 8 sides. if each side is 3 feet then you have an octagon that is six feet wide. If that octagon if seven feet tall, you will have a wallspace of 168 sq ft. PERIOD.

BTW, i said 2 6x6 rooms cuz thats what im doing. I dont have to build exactly like that guy.

Your posts are fucked.

See i dont have to make a ten page post. Vertical is more efficient. PERIOD.

I know plenty of growers using 8k+ (actually just 3). Very sucsessful and never been caught. (BTW they're all going vertical sometime in the next 6 months)

I know some growers get 2 lbs per plant. these are the guys who are fire as fuck at growing and get all the best additives and hydro setups. These are the guys who can get 4 lbs per 1k vertical.

I dont know any who get 4lbs per, but there are 15 grow journals ive read and about 1/4 of them get 3.5 per, 1/2 get 3 per, and 1/4 get two per.

I know 2lbs per 1k is possible flat you tard. but try puting 8k on a 12x12 space, you can do it but its fuckin overkill. A shitty grower can get 2 per 1k vertical, and the growers that can get 2lbs per 1k flat are the guys who are skilled enough to get 3.5+lbs per 1k vertical.

"a person MAY be able to double what they are getting from a floor footprint going with a two tier vert system. or even triple what they are getting from a particular footprint with a three tier vert system. You are the ONLY one claiming that a person can quadruple their yeild from a floor space. And you are missing the -BIG- point... if you take those same three 1000w lights in that VERT system and put them out over a FLAT area... you are going to yeild about 6lbs either way."

--this is the stupidest thing youve said.
IF YOU SAVE SPACE GOING VERTICAL, THEN YOU CAN USE THE SPACE YOU SAVED TO PUT IN MORE LIGHTS.
Hence 12x12 using 4k flat-or-6x12 vertical using 4k

Oh WOW that means i hav another 6x12 to use. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM maybe ill add 4k more lights and QUADRUPLE MY YILED FROME MY 12x12 SPACE.
Your telling me in this pathetic paragraph that ALL the growers who go vert are just stupid, or seeing shit. Imagining increased yields? HAHA

Ill put it like this man.

A grower at x skill level using y amount of light in z amount of space will increase his yield by about 2 times using y amount of light.
And he WILL quadruple his yield if he takes the space save by going vertical in z space and double his y lighting to fill that space.

x=skill
y=amt of light
z=amt of space

Everthing you say is written like "it seems to me" or "according to my math" or "i think"

SO.............. This leads me to think you konw nothing of what the fuck your talking about.

I Thinnk ill believe the scientifically proven evidence that i have stated. See i have an anylytical mind, and i can anylyze the data i get and come up with a conclusion. You by your post have proven to me that your more interested in using fuzzy math and weak examples to prove me wrong.

You can keep growing the way you grow. I gives not a fuck. But dont come in here and leave giant mega posts that SUCK ASS and HAVE NO TRUTH to them.

PLEASE STOP POSTING IN MY THREAD SO I CAN STOP TRYING TO YELL USING ALL CAPS.

You are ignorant.

vertical may be the way to go... unless you wanna keep low plant numbers, or dont have a room with enough space or vertical height...

i use a screen and keep less than 6 plants... i have limited space, the room is 3.5'wide x 7'long (under the 1st half of the stairs)... the screen is 2.5' x 7' so i have 12" to move around in my room.

I put 2KW in there and get about 1lb per KW... i know i'm not setting any records for grams/watt - but maybe for grams per cubic foot of grow room space. i know 2KW is "overkill" but i can drop them down to about 12" from the screen and it makes about 18 sq ft of big fat colas...

vertical sog may be the best way to go, but that will usually get you fucked by uncle sam cuz the plant numbers are always so high... I'm just trying to stay low key, but i'm not trying to sell it all... i'm trying to smoke it all ;-)

are you finding yourself satisfied with what it produces compared to what you had before? Basically are you glad you switched?

lol I can't believe there is arguing on whether or not vertical or flat is more effective its obvious..though I would not want to run a a vertical, id rather just run lights vertically and do big trees to keep numbers down, basically Krusty Method minus his buckets he was growing 3 lbs per 1000w per 1 plant.

I know man... i just feel really sorry for the guys who try to convince me that vert is some kinda scam.

for yield there is no better way, the space saving in itself is worth it just gotta get the drip system set but that is no big deal, the plants grow towards the light whether or not you angle it so wheres the complication??

Going vertical doesn't have to be any more work or expense than flat gardening. These plants are about 5 months old total but you can veg 4-5 footers in a closet then move them in a room like this and flip these big crops farly fast still.

I obviously didn't spend any time or money on it. The only thing that makes it vertical is tall plants with a vertical 1kw light in the middle. You don't need some fancy expensive or complicated setup or to run 100 plants to yield pounds and still be considered vertical. I get the full 360 degrees of light and am using the full light cone all around, and while I haven't finished a crop of this size yet in that room I think I could pull pretty decent poundage off just 6 plants at a time. Much less legal risk running small numbers of big plants.

nice plants! tall

now would this system you have running be better if ya threw the 1000 on top and 600 in the center? are ya tops getting enough light?

Peace
