just bought another bag of MGO from home depot for emergency use, the only organic brand available locally and when i opened the bag a thick white fog rolled out and i looked inside and the soil was completely white with mold. and I still have some nats around from using 1 bag in a pinch sometime ago. Home depot was very apolagetic for infecting my house with mold and nats and wanted to give me another bag, Ha Ha funny I said, I told them I'll be back only when you start selling products that work not products that just profit. First hand experience MGO is completly inconsistant and will kills plants or stunts them if you use it regularly. Switched to FFOF, changing nothing else, and holy crap growth and yields galore. quality soil is worth the lots of extra money it cost.
LOL! You do know that soil is full of fungus and beneficial bacteria right.....

Stop telling new growers NOT to grow with Miracle grow like it's going to kill the damn plant. Saying it is a "miracle if the plant grows in miracle grow"

It is deff not the best or first choice but is very affordable and can grow any plant just fine. I am going to prove it. Give me a little time to get a good cutting or a few seeds.
miracle grow just got sued for putting known pesticides that harm people in there soil and nutrients. . . . .are you kidding me

if you want cancer grow MJ with miracle grow

if you want pretty tulips do the same

like he said above.. mg also has high n, p and k. It holds its npk values for months of waterings, u aint flushing that shit out, due to be for "all purpose use" u will have high leaf to bud ratio. How cheap is mg to normal compost or even soiless mix, the same price i thought smh.

Globally recognized gardening and lawn care company, Scotts Miracle Gro took the stand in court on Friday regarding a 12.5 million dollar lawsuit after the company pleaded guilty of adding illegal toxins to wild bird food in addition to breaching several federal pesticide laws. lol was bird feed but still their soil isnt good for smokeable plants surely

I am currently in my 5th week of MG MC 6 month and it is not a bad soil, it just sucks if you are a newbie and over water it like I did... You can only try and get the ph correct and hope the girl recovers. They do have fungus gnats, but they were not that bad and I only see one here or there... using nematodes helps and will be ready for my next grow. The soil was great for vegging as they run 22 N  but anything with long feeding is not good for new growers who might over water the plant. I do not like that I have no control over the grow!!! I have roots organic and FF trio along with a ph pen, a tds pen and way better growing environment. But it was bag seed, so I did not care and I will take the good with the bad... just won't use it again!

Your comment suggests it is a bad soil, uncontrollable npk and ph, comes pest infested, nitrogen rich that makes it become a bitch in flower and water retention of a reservoir :p

"A well-known pesticide, chemical fertilizer, and lawn and garden products company faces $12.5 million in fines after pleading guilty to illegally applying toxic insecticides to its own wild birdseed products. Scotts Miracle-Gro's toxic birdseed scandal came to light during a Scotts bird food lawsuit charging that company sold 70 million bags of the chemically treated bird food over a two-year period before recalling the product in 2008."

why do you keep trying to Bash MG soil just because they poisoned bird seed.........Go ahead grow your Cannabis with poisoned birdseed in the soil then you can bash MG for being toxic.....step off the lawsuit man...this isn't a forum about bird safety......

Yet another grower with beautiful plants in MG, My females are almost done so I will have my mass of seeds soon so I can start this MG test!

Yea U can prob use MG to get to the finish line. Just like anyone with two legs can run a 100m dash. Im lookin for Usain Bolt quality herb tho if u know what I mean. So I would never expect to use that shit. Or post on here asking questions if I was using that shit & having problems. Its almost disrespectful to me to ask a knowledgable grower about it. Or even show my plants that I grew using it like they haven't seen better. That's the shit I tried when I knew absolutely nothing. No one is sayin it can't be done. Just growers with sense would never recommend it.

MG=lots of salts and water activated ferts. over watering can over feed the plant leading to burn then what? you flush it and make it worse since its water activated?
yes its possible to grow in their soil and using their nutes but when it comes down to it, its just not whats ideal for this particular plant.
Especially with how many new growers over water their plants. Should new growers really be taught to use the wrong soil just because they can't save up $30? If they don't want to save up $30 they might as well give up on growing completely.

AZherbalist420 and GrowinTheDank said it right, u can use mg to grow weed like u could use 1x 23w cfl to grow a plant. The weed you would like to achieve gets less achievable everytime u tight ass your budget and use shit like mg.

You think a company adding poison to one line of products is ok to use as long you use their other products that havent yet been shown to have toxic substances added, naive. Mold or powdery mildew completely covering the top of the mgo soil, it was white and had to stir it to find some brown particulates, is not the same as beneficial fungus and bacteria in the soil. I use my balanced fish tank water with R/O for my tea water base and followed good veg and fungal tea recipies and got excellent results with mgo for several years, but I'm just saying now that their are bad batches of soil, no quality control, and I got tired of fixing their soil to perform like FFOF.
