Stop telling new growers NOT to grow with Miracle grow like it's going to kill the damn plant. Saying it is a "miracle if the plant grows in miracle grow"

It is deff not the best or first choice but is very affordable and can grow any plant just fine. I am going to prove it. Give me a little time to get a good cutting or a few seeds.

It baffles me that some of the vets around here say miracle grow is the worst thing in the world for your plant....You are supposed to help new growers and help them with what they have. Not tell them to go buy a freakin 2 cubic foot block of soiless medium for $45 when all they can afford is $15 bag of MG

If you know how to read the plant and read the label, most fertilizers are derived from just a few common sources. Like Tylenol and generic acetaminophen. Exactly the same formulation and strength. I lived and worked on a farm one time many years ago where we raised oats, wheat and 2,750,000 pounds of russet potatoes. Shipped those sonsofbitches all winter when the temp got UP to -15F. Overnight -40F.

Anyway I also grew guerrilla like you wouldn't believe on a few thousand acres of farm land with plots scattered all over the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado. Add hundreds of miles of old and then abandoned irrigation ditches. Picture it? So tanks of liquid fertilizer we would pick up by the tank truck load to fill the plastic ones behind the tractors. Guess who drove the tanker? And refilled the fert tanks? And applied it to my pot by spraying it while driving by? Spudnik is what my friends named the stuff. Kick ass and take names, mister. Send you flying for 3 hours or so.

Miracle Grow ? You can't use that crap,it's too simple, too basic for Cannabis. You need at least 4 or 5 different Cannabis specific products to grow a decent plant nowadays. After all, just think of the impact on our economy if the growers stopped spending all that money on products they never needed to begin with. It's almost anti American to even think of such a thing. ;-)

MG=lots of salts and water activated ferts. over watering can over feed the plant leading to burn then what? you flush it and make it worse since its water activated?
yes its possible to grow in their soil and using their nutes but when it comes down to it, its just not whats ideal for this particular plant.

I had my first outdoor girls in mg organic choice and they vegged fine. I did have a little nute burn at first since They all were clones but now I have them at about 4 weeks into flowering and they are doing fine, but I changed the soil to happy frog once I transplanted them into larger pots before I started to flower them. I changed soil because mg costs about $12 for a 1.5 cu bag of the organic choice, but at the local dro shop I can get 2 cu of happy frog for about the same price. Nothing bad with Mg organic choice, but like others have said, you can get better, and im sure you will find worse.

I think that its for more irresponsible to allow a new grower to use MG without warning them about it. It can cause a series of issues salt build up and lock out being a major one. Have you ever grown quality herb with MG?

I think mg is more hated because of the corporation's environmental record and business practices. The only people who really despise mg as a actual growing medium are all organic growers who tend to think they know some secret the rest of us don't.

And don't forget, Scotts will be coming out with multiple lines of growing soils specifically for marijuana next spring. They may just take over the market some day, but for personal reasons I will never use it.
