My plants seem to flower slowly with canna a b
Bring on that high dollar "Boost" throughout flower and the Pk13/14 for a few feedings starting end of week 4....and you will drop your jaw at the daily rate of change....if your strain isn't the limiter.

I'm going to pick up some pk 13/14 and try that

Hi everyone! Very happy to have found this thread, as I have run into some problems recently with a plant that has been doing very well otherwise and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do.

My girl is going into the 5th week of flowering, and over the course of the last week or so I started noticing burned tips and edges on leaves around the main cola. It looks like very straightforward nute burn to me, except for a few things - 1 being that I was under the impression that nute burn usually starts on lower leaves first before spreading to the rest of the plant? This is happening specifically at the very top of the plant.
I'm also doubtful that I'm over feeding, as I'm currently only feeding with Canna Coco A + B at 1/3 the recommended strength (5ml / gal vs. 15 ml which is the recommended dose on the bottles). I'm worried that if I feed at any less than that, I'm gonna starve her. Is it common for some strains to be very sensitive to nutes? I also ran into some issues with clawing back in veg, and, again, I was feeding at less than half the recommended dose.

I've checked the ph, and it has been steady at 5.5-6.0. Heat has been 70-75 and humidity at 50-60.

Does this look like it may be something different from nute burn all together? Should I flush it and start feeding even less (1/4 strength? less than that, even?)? I was also gonna start adding PK13/14 this week, but now I'm not sure if that will make it even worse.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Im in week 5 of Veg about to switch to flower, my current regimen is Canna A = B, Rhizo, Cannazym, Superthrive and Great occasionally.

When I go into flower Im planning to Add Canna Boost, but what else is good to go with Canna nutes to add bud density and flavor? Would Bud candy & Big Bud from AN work? or what do you guys think?

I've been told Canna doesnt have a true finishing product and if I dont add stuff on top of the Boost that my yield will be low. Thoughts ???

That's not a burn... You have a cal/mag deficiency.. add 200 ppm of calmag before your other nutes and it will clear up.

I am on my 2nd grow in coco and I started with Canna nutes and additives and got good results the 1st time so decided to stick with what I know and this time its been even better. only problem I have had is fungus gnats but thats common in coco. cant see these Autos finishing in the 11 weeks I was hoping they would of but getting there.

I have a jar of BloomBastic I'll give you and I paid dearly for it....I burned the crap out of some plants late in flower and didn't violate anything in the directions. It pissed me off cause I'm so conservative and careful measuring, and I never burn anything. It could be an isolated incident for whatever reason but I went right back to Canna PK13/14 & Boost for flower enhancers.

I would rather use the canna as well but its not available where I'm at I'd have to order it. It does seem that the leaves on my big fans got too green and started to curl a bit after using it.

what is the maximum ec you guys have used on your moms? right now i'm feeding mine at 2.0 and they still are having some deficiencies. slurry is testing at around .55 ec and slurry ph is always between 6 and 6.4 . the runoff is usually coming out at below 2.5 ec. they are huge moms. been watering them 5 times a day. should i bump up the nutes even more?

Hi guys, i am following the canna guide off the website and it doesnt say anywhere about flushing, i am at the start of week 6 into flower and just about to use pk13/14 for a week. I then have 3 weejs left but does not include a flush period? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Generative Period IV is your flush time...note cannazyme and Boost are still on the menu, just without the base nutes..

You have some sort of nutrient lockout... Make sure your base water has the 200 ppm of cal/mag that is needed when using Canna and start lowering your ph to 5.8 for mothers and plants in veg... Also try lowering your ec.. you are overfeeding if your runoff comes out with a higher ec than you started with and may contributing to your lockout.

hello, i am new to canna as well as new to indoors. although i have been gardening outdoors for 20+ years. crazy new ball o' wax! im definitely experiencing a CalMag deficiency. so i started looking around for some info and found this thread. jberry, it seems like you know whats up. i dont RO my tap water but i do filter it. i end up with a PPM70-80 - EC .16(.5 scale) you suggest bringing that up to 200PPM. that being said all the CalMag has extra nitrogen, i wanted to avoid this so i wrote to canna to ask what and why. they assure me that i dont need to add CalMag and that my soft water is fine...im so confused. please help.
on another note they also told me not to use beneficials (ive been using Great White) in coco and they might actually be causing my deficiency. WTF?
i look forward to your insight...

That is confusing but unless Canna changed its formula then I would expect to get calmag deficiencies without the 200 ppm of mostly calmag added before your base nutes... The extra N in calmag has never caused me issues.
It's true that you don't want to over inoculate your coco but I would be surprised if that caused your deficiency unless u are going crazy with it. Make sure u have your ph adjusted correctly and are using correct doses of your base nutes.

you still need the 200 ppm of cal/mag, you can run 150 during first few weeks, as some cal/mag vary in there ratios, also if if the strain allows it and also depepnding if you're starting tap water if its tap as calium and mag carbanate, as this form is more or less unsable by the plants, as cal/mag carbanate is to large to be asorbed by the roots abd the plant struggle to move the mag were needed to if asorbed, mainly uk and europe that as this form in there taps, but week 2 veg onwards you need 200 ppm, maybee 250 ppm after the strecth, depending again on strain, white strain deferentially, also its good to have slight higher cal ratio if using pk additive, i live in the uk and 150 ppm to 250 is spot on for canna coco and of the nutes

also ty j berry, you helped me a while back to understand about the 200 ppm thing and having e,c of o.6 for the trichadema, once i got that, there was no stopping me lol so ty j berry
