what sweetners have you used mate?
AN - Bud Candy is SHIT DO NOT USE IT.

Botanicare Grape - Nice for a purple or grape strain
Botanicare Raw - Nice for added sugars w/o a specific taste, just natural plant taste.

Havent tried any others yet. The botanicare seems to be okay. I suggest you NOT get the AN Bud Candy. Other than that find something you like the smell of or sounds like it would compliment your strains well.

Could just use blackstrap molasses too. Probably better and cheaper than all the aforementioned junk, i havent tried it yet though.

puffenuff - Funny email from Canna there. If it's true H&G had any part of them or not i cant verify.

I will say though i am very happy with the Bud XL & Sweetener combo and see no reason to change it considering the price difference.

Hello, I have a full set of Canna Aqua Vega, Flores, and Cannazym left over from a flood/drain hydro grow...I want to try soil this time, can I use these nutes in soil?

kind regards,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but is the date that is printed on the Rhizotonic bottle an expiration date or sell by date? I purchased the 1 litre bottle in January and it the date on the bottle was February. So if it's an expiration date that means I only had 2 months to use a litre of it which isn't that much time. I have been searching for answers for the past 3 hours online and keep finding mixed messages. It doesn't smell much different than when I got it, maybe a little nastier than before, but it already smells pretty bad to begin with LOL. I've been using it still to date (5 months past the date on the bottle) and am concerned now as I am in the middle of trying to save some strains that are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to me and I do not want to lose them. If it is the expiration date will it fuck up my new cuttings? It better not. I'm not sure why hydro stores think they can sell expired nutes when all they have to do is contact the manufacturer to send them new shit. It's either that or make a lot of people very unhappy when they lose their strains. I have a few back up cuttings in case these don't make it, but I really like the Rhizotonic, although I don't want to fuck anything up using expired nutes if that is the case. Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!

I've never been entirely sure what that date refers to, either expiration date or born on date. it should be ok if properly stored. You said you've still been using it, any problems? my bottle says 2/8/12 and my plants are ok. Also remember, they are made in europe so maybe the date is in day/month/year format? Anyone else able to speak on this?

The only problem I am having is that my nute/water mixture seems to get skunky after only 2 days of adding the Rhizo, where as when it was fresh, it seemed to stay fresh smelling for over 2 weeks. I'm not sure if this is because the Rhizo is getting older or because I am not at full strength nutes and there is quite a bit more Rhizo than A and B in the water for now. I searched high and low on google and I found a Canna article where they talk about expiration date. They say Rhizo is guaranteed fresh up to the date on bottle which is supposedly a year after the manufacturer date, but other people say that it should last a year after it is opened regardless of the date. I'm sure hydro stores don't want to scrap $50 bottles of Rhizo only because of a exp date so they sell it to us anyway at half price or something.

hey canna gang, I gotta water my coco pots again today and I need to know if the Rhizo should be scrapped or if it's ok to use it still. If anyone knows, please do not hesitate to speak.

Seeing how fishy it smells to begin with I personally would buy some new or go without it for a while till you get some fresh.. ...I wouldn't want my plants taking on the taste of it in any way. Thanks for bringing this up....I'm gonna start looking at dates in the shop before I buy.....and buy smaller jugs.

Keep using it!!!! It will help your plants establish a good root base.
I use rhizo until week 2 of flower, and only 2ml at most during flower. I run 5 to 6 ml of rhizo in veg, and no the fish smell will not affect your plants taste :wall:
I used bud candy as my sweetener (and trust me it's way better than anything botanicare offers IME and IMO). I ran out of bud candy and now use black strap molasses. I supplement a little bit of silica blast throughout, gravity or beast (around week 4-6), and m.o.a.b. (around week 4-6.)
Also I use a lot more B than A. Almost don't even use the A. Way too high of N for me and my girls.
but I'm trying to figure out a vegan tea as I believe that's all boost is.

Even though the date says it's expired? Also, I've been running 15mL a gallon like the directions say, is that to much?

rhiz can be used all the way until flush day, gives your plants stress relief and keeps the roots very happy, if u do use it in flower keep it at a low doze, and the rhiz does not make your plants stink like fish or any thing else! rhiz always smells like fish. please only state advise if your 100% on the matter and not guessing

i always make sure i check my nutes date before i buy them, i dont tent to use em ones they go out of date, which is rarely the case because all my bottles i been buying have had at lest over a years date and my nutes would finish way before that + my hydro store is very busy with customers so stock would be fresh most of the time

Now the company says the date on the bottle is for internal company use. They said their nutes are good for 2 years after the date stamped on bottle. Kind of hard to believe but whatever.

Shit, they're telling you it's good and NOT to go buy more of their products.
Right? Now I get an email from the NL branch saying that it's a sell by date and the Rhizo is only good for 6 months after that date. They're sending me a replacement Rhizo. LOL
I think they need some USA Canna reps that know how to speak their language so they can get the facts straight. I know there is a metric shit ton of confusion on the internet over wtf the dates on the Canna nute bottles represent. All I know is the bottle I have is going bad because my nutes are not staying fresh after I mix them for more than a couple days. They stayed fresh for 2 weeks before. Well, I guess the facts are a little straighter now. I should just make a new thread that's called "wtf is the date stamped on the Canna bottle"

It's good for the $$company$$
It's cheap, i got 1L im gonna use it on these next clones. Why not its less than $20... After the amount of chedder the rest of all this shit costs I dont see how i cant justify the $16 for clones in a critical stage of life.

Go for it then. Probably gonna take a long time to use a whole 1 L bottle since it's only for clones. I just use the A&B in 1/4 strength with no problems. Why have another bottle sitting around? I'm sure the stuff is legit and much easier to use though. That is what you are paying for anyway.

I'm glad to see Canna sent you a replacement Rhizo...they sell a good products and it's nice to see they stand behind them....I sure wish I could tell a difference when I use it...guess my root's are 'happy" down there in that coco.
