Dedication shows in the last post of the year.
I like the coincidence since Dedication is all I need this year, with a capital letter at that and a lot of it.

Ok so after thinking about it for a while I think Imma try doing a bubble extraction with water aka put the dry sifting on hold for a bit. I'mma try using 15g of nug that are fairly dry. I'mma use my 1 gallon mason jar to do the mixing and then pour into another container with my bags. Aiming for 5-10 minutes of hand mixing with wooden spoon. So I want to get the water really cold is the idea (just to make sure), I'm not using the ice to knock the trichs off just using the ice to keep the water cold. If this is correct, I was wondering if I can add dry ice to the water and around the glass container to keep the water levels really cold and then pull out the dry ice when I achieve said coldness? Also I plan to do the mixing inside a freezer (if possible at work ;))

Call it thick headed but I just can't help it... I must get my shit to bubble! By the way Frenchy, I notice your in CA also (I'm assuming California not Canada?) if your ever near San Jose, Kase and I hang out on Fridays lol.

i am not far War Machine, the Bay is my hood, actually not totally anymore since I will spend most of my time in Mendocino but still….
You may be going a little bit strong on the ice with dry ice inside and outside + the cold chamber but cold is good just don't freeze the water.
You should be able to get to the melt you are looking for otherwise I do teach

Thanks Frenchy I'll try this at work when I go back! Well your welcome to stop by whenever and have a session with us! I hope to get the melt. I know the material is kinda dry so I'mma let it set in the cold water for 20 mins before I start to stir. Also I plan to break the nugs in the water as well. I think I'mma use my 220, 160, 110, 90, 70, and 45. Might be to many bags for so little amount.

If I came to see you teach I probably wouldn't end up leaving lol. I'd wanna see you make bubble and see you dry sift.

Will do, hopefully I'll be able to post positive results!

Should I break the nugs above the iced water or actually place my hands in the water to break them?

Delicious, thanks Frenchy. I think I'mma use 20g of nugs so i can equate my yield results easier. Going to watch your vid and subs tonight so I can review it for tomorrow. Pretty sure I have the steps down but a reminder doesn't hurt anyone.

Hey Frenchy, just wanted to say i got some of your Pinot Noir and Berry White from Alpine Alternative about a week ago and I couldn't have asked for better medicine to close out 2013.

Great job and thank you for all you do.

Frenchy I must say I was disappointed today. My friend went to HHCC for me to grab me some Frenchy hash but they were are all sold :( He told my friend that your stuff sells very fast and that he (the guy selling to my friend) buys a lot of it. He says you don't come by often though :( I really wanted some too :( Hopefully another club here in San Jose might have it. I like the price your stuff goes for too, very very fair I think. I ended up getting some Humbolt Hash (full melt supposedly) from him for $12 a G. Hope it's good but damn damn damn! I wanted some Frenchy hash! Did I mention DAMN!

Actually HHCC has not been on my list for a minute since they had to specialize to the taste of the patients, result over 130 types of extracts. They are carrying my hash again and it looks that they did not stock enough as a starter, good news for me to tell the truth even if I feel bad for you. Got to go back to work. Next visit to HHCC I will let you know in advance so that you do not miss it again.

Hello frenchy,

I have received my mini wash but one question remains.

I saw in your last videos that you had to replace the evacuation tube.
Did you do it because a flat tube was better than the default one

Like my english is not bright, let post pics.

That's similar to the default evacuation:

And that's the replacing:

I wonder how you did it, by looking in the beast, it looks like it would be a pain to replace.

Is it really bothering when you evacuate the water?

If I had to open the mini wash, a few screws to get out but the power chord is just too badly settled.

I could do it the NON gentle way, by breaking the under plastic "grid" that would let me get some tiny access to the evacuation tube.
The tube is obviously glued by silicone.

The silly idea of sliding a tighter tube within the existing one could work, maybe.

Nothing hurries, harvest is not finished yet and the trimmings' amount is just about to rise up + time to dry and cure a bit.
Though I boil To try this mini wash for maxi hash

PS: about sieves, I got 220 - 125 - 75 - 45

cheers

Ok so I tried doing my bubble extraction today and recorded the progress. Sorry I kinda jumble the words but I had an edible that was quiettt strong. It might sound like a guide but it was more so to show and explain what I'm doing. So part 1 is the setup.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0eR3w7DKYU

Part 2 is the mix.

Part 3 the end result.

Frenchy your thoughts?
You did quite well it seems, few details to focus on.
1) Use a bigger bucket to do your spinning, the more water the higher the quality and the easier it is to have the trichomes fall. You can apply a little more power as well when you have a lot of water to work in.
2) Check my video for the pre-drying of trichomes in bag and how I scoop it. Also always have a strong rinse with a spray in the bag as a second wash
3) You have to chop your resin as small as possible to dry my friend.
Now the waiting WarMachine and hopefully quality will show

We actually shoot a video showing how to change the exhaust pipe but TC lost it when his camera was stolen and I have no more machine to work on.
It is actually simple, you have only 4 screw to take care of to separate the white bottom part. It will give you enough space to work. If you have the Boltdbag machine, 2 screws at the bottom and 2 on the back panel.
Cut the old pipe with a blade at exhaust point to take it off, clean up the residue of glue. The only part you need to calculate accurately is the length of the tube that come down from exhaust point. You then need an elbow, another piece of tube that will come out of the machine long enough to make water fall in the middle of your bags and another type of elbow with a screw cap.

Damn the thieves!
Too bad for the video

Thank you,

I live in Europe so do not own boltdbag machine but a simple wash machine very similar to the one on your picture above.
I've found the right tube, will pick 2 elbows tomorrow.
The tricky part is about the power chord, it is sealed into the plastic, the joint part doesn't seem to get loose but rather being part of it in one piece.
If I unscrew the four below the machine, this power chord will be a part of the problem, I'll take ultra care when I'll do it.

I will make the beast run only with water for matter of warranty and checking it's all good before doing anything to it.

I can shoot some photos of the washing machine and will surely do when I will replace the exhaust

The default tube doesn't seem good enough and I'm afraid it could restrain some precious trichomes.

to be continued...

It looks pretty good for the price WarMachine. HHCC is the only dispensary I work with in San Jose, sorry!!!
Damn disappointment again! Please do let me know when you come back to San Jose and to HHCC. The hash was pretty good for the price, but it wasn't a full melt :( it did bubble and melt slightly. Still tasted good though.

Ok I'll just a bigger bucket next time with more water! I thought I should add more power I just didn't know how much so I tried to replicate a washer on "slow" lol. I will try on the next batch with more power. I'll check the vid out again to see the scooping again. I did chop it after the video I just never recorded it lol. I can't wait to see the results either Frenchy! Looks promising.
