The color of my dreams

I saw a new way of harvesting your buds recently, water curing or something, you could add a flavour to the water in that?

Juices and essense -Fdd style - I think im gonna go down this route when my crop is done.

do buds retain flavour/smell from fruits and peels/skins?

A note to the nay-sayers - its not about removing the taste of weed, its enhancing it.
If its possible and controlable, imagine being about to add as much or little flavour as you like.

also, whats the point in buying another flavour, if you can simply flavour you own weed an have a shed-load of fun doing it too?

exactly my thought smithy you can still keep the even growing clones together instead of some lanky sats n short indicas i dont see y the water cure wouldnt work it takes a lot of the smell away but if there was summat to add it should work dunno but only water cured once with a little branch wasnt impressed i like my weed to smell through the bag! lol

I see a lot of talk here, but not many after pics...

Any way.. I have a dwc hydro micro grow, and was thinking about the food coloring idea and did a search to find this thread...

By the way... Thanks fdd for starting this all up.

Now for my thoughts..

Fdd dyed the buds after harvest.. but

I want to dye the plants while they grow... or at least during the flushing stage.

My first idea was to add a little food coloring to the rez with each feeding... then when it comes close to harvest, I would flush as normal and hope the buds retain the color.. or flavor.

My second idea is add the food coloring or/and flavoring during the flushing stage.

So any in put on this... or suggestions.

I'm only a week into flowering so there is still time to try... something.

Good luck with that, but I think the roots will filter the food colouring out. I don't know that first hand though.

i did this in school with celery.

i guarantee some fool is going to dye his bud purple and sell it off as an urkel cross or something.

I Tink the reason it tasted like shit was because of the sugar in it. I have a feeling if you were to use sugar free die it would tast ok

observation with a 30x jewelers loupe shows trichromes and stalks have absorb the dye as well. pretty cool seeing blue trichromes.
Anybody else thinking "blue kif"...?

...That said it is quite sad to see marijuana headed the same way as any vegetable you'd buy in the supermarket. But still, blue kif...
