so I have an update. Color did change after about 48 hours and adding a shit ton more dye to the water itself. Maybe it would work a lot better by just soaking in the pure food coloring solution itself. Only changed the outer trim of the sugar leaves a little bit and the underside of the fan leaves. And maybe slightly the tips of the bud but barely. Maybe the color will come thru stronger after drying.

All in all it works but requires a lot of dye
