has anyone tried soaking the stems in a tasty puff solution? i was thinking that if i ever have the chance to id try mixing a solution of tasty puff grape and some purple food coloring and let it soak up it should make an interesting mix and seeing as tasty puff is made to burn a flavor it would counter the bad taste from the food coloring and theres a ton of different flavors so i could have some fun experimenting. i was also wondering if it were possible to take a thc solution such as this one http://www.lycaeum.org/~sputnik/Extraction/extract8.html and soak it up into the stems using the same method as with the food coloring?

Curious if FDD still follows this thread gotta get loaded and try different things for flavor options, no one has mentioned molasses... just a thought i might try it

using molasses or the color dye. if you mean the dye then i do not know but molasses doe snot. also fdd said that the bud tasted like crap due to the dye compared to the rest of the plant but it does look cool. it would have nice bag appeal.

would it be too much to put double the amount of food coloring for a more intense effect, or would that just ruin the quality of the bud...

well damn reading all that from post 1 was fun. If the day comes I harvest, I promise to pretend to do this like everyone else along the way did. And when it fails ill pretend I never visited this thread... But no really Im all kinds of interested in koolaid flavors, food colorings, juices, sugar, fruits, we got some juicy drops vanilla and creme soda smoking flavors that could work, any and all of it in different combinations. I use molasses anyway so yeah... Also harvesting plant a, making thc oil, then soaking a stem from plant b in thc oil could maybe make superbud? Like 30%+ thc in mah buds.. mmmmmm

WOW,
such an old tread,
and yet I cannot help but comment. Everyone seems to like FDD's idea, and it does give color. Some say it will taste like shit,.
In response to all the "add sugar, koolaid" or wtf ever else crazy ideas r out there. Heres a thought, and only a thought, Botnicare makes a product called Sweet it is a carbo synthesizer and it does add flavor to ur buds, THIS stuff can be used in soil or Hydro. I grow Hydro Vertically and have used citrus and recently started using their grape flavor in my rez, good stuff expensive, but worth it IMO. So I would assume that using food coloring in conjunction with Sweet and ur worries r over. ....... Just saying...

Here's the deal, you need to use Welch's Grape Juice when doing this if you want to do it right. Adds a crazy amount of purple, look at my profile picture. That's Grape Ape with the Welch's, still some green when first harvested but the longer it sits after harvest the more intense the purple will become. Until eventually the whole bud is completely dark purple, with a crazy grape smell and taste.

I wonder what would happen if you direct injected a syringe full of pure food coloring into a plants stalk that you will harvest in a day lol
