im no expert, but like you said, germinating is only gonna let u know which seeds are actually good and not premature or crushed. As soon as the tap root pops from the shell, you know its good. I doubt letting it germinate longer will make it grow better or anything, im pretty sure of this, but i dont wanna have to swallow my words when a 20 yr grower says im wrong lol...

Idk why u put it in a christmas decoration.. your gonna have to transplant in like 1.5 weeks cuz the roots r gonna take that tiny space up fast! n its gonna stunt it for a couple of days from the transplant to a bigger pot no matter how gentle n careful u are.

lol i know but i germinated 1 more seed than i had to and i dont really have room to grow 4 plants so i did it to see how big i could make it in such a small space. i have like 20 more seeds of each strain sitting in a pill bottle in my closet so im not too worried. like i said, just an experiment .:bigjoint:

Hmmm... they should've after these 5 days. How deep did you bury them? I'd check on them and maybe remove the shrink-wrap and put the lights RIGHT ON TOP of the dirt practically. Maybe 1/2-1"

Just took a look at my grow journal. I put them in the ground on the 25th and saw sprouts by the 29th (maybe even the 28th). I germed them in paper towel and they had a good taproot by the time I stuck them in dirt.

Hopefully you didn't get bum seeds. If you did, you could always try out one of the websites where you can buy quality seeds and you'll know what kind you're getting.

How deep did you bury them? I just took a pen and pushed a hole in the dirt about 1/4-1/2" deep. You want it deep enough so they'll get a good root system but up high enough where they'll get light and pop out in a few days.

they are planted maybe a max of 1/4" but i think my soil might be too...thick? after i water the soil tends to stick together

And still no sign of them today? Did you put anything in the soil to loosen it up such as Perlite? I didn't put any in mine but I'm going to when I transplant. My soil has a lot of wood chips in it so it kinda keeps it loose. The water definitely packs it down though.

i bought soil with a small amount of perlite in it but it still packs pretty solid, ill have to add more if i ever thransplant, i planted two more germinated seeds in the same soil run through a kitchen strainer to remove all the chunks and the clean soil doesnt seem to get as hard. so we will see what happens:eyesmoke:
