So I found 1200+ rounds of ammo today....

SO!...today... Im smoking a L with my buddy and theres this old abandoned house down our block. It's actually got a sign saying it was getting torn down or w.e....so like ny law abiding citizen we go through the back and look for anything good....

I go up to the addict, my buddy the basement. I see all thes boxes in the corner, I open one up TONS of ammo...9mm, 380, 365, .22, 38, shells, even a gernade (didnt work, we threw it in the woods lmaooo...)

There was so much we had to make two trips. Now I ALWAYs loved guns, and so does my father (he use too shoot with me before we stopd tlaking) so the question Im having is there any good sites you guys know of too get good handguns? I'm applying for my pistol permit tommorow since I am a 19 yr old with no felonys or history of mental disease.

Well I live in NY but I have this HUGE wildlife refuge in walkig distance I go hunting...it was an old school gernade with the bumps on it and everything.....and YES you do have too be 21 for a pistol permit (just found out) but I can get some rifles and shotguns...anyone got good sites?

I would go to a local gun store somewhere around your area or a pawn shop. I bought 1 gun off the internet and when I went to shoot it for the first time it missfired. Took me 3 months and ALOT of phone calls and emails to get them to send my money back. Its just a big headache. Guns are one of those things you wanna go buy from a local shop to avoid these kind of headaches.

You said you threw it into the woods in your first post and now it is thrown in a lake. Well, if it is in the lake then it is much safer than in the woods.

I hope they make you take a safety class for any guns you might purchase, at your rate making it to 21 will be lucky.

agree, doesnt sound like hes got the safety skills for guns. i doubt they give you a pistol permit(when your of age), you need like a real reason for a pistol, like you carry a case of money around or something(ny is wicked strict). IF YOU EVEN MENTION PERSONAL PROTECTION THEY WILL NOT ISSUE YOU A PISTOL. Get your hunting permit and say you want a secondary for bears attacks or something.
And dude cmon think be4 you do things. Playing with a grenade is just dumb and kicking it around? well that for idiots. Ide advise not to use the ammo, as it could be old and misfire/jam alot. take a nice safety course kid, guns dont kill people, stupid people shooting them does.

We threw it, waited...waited, kicked it, then threw it in the lake just to be safe...luckly i dont need a permit for shotguns and rifles just be 18 and without a felony...SO like it or not i can get a gun whenever wherever...im just looking for a good cheap place online, thats all.

And the first thing Im going to do with my gun KID is shoot irreasponsibly and not listen too ANY safety advice.

As for how good the ammo is...alot of it was old and I do have those put aside to dipose (not sure how yet)....but 80% of it are still brand new in unopen boxes to the point you can see your reflection on it. No mold, or anything like . ALOT of hollowtips. A little wary on those because I know there super illegal which makes me believe this belonged too a cop. (cause cops can get em evne though there really not suppose too)

Hey man I'm a girl and the story made me laugh. I've known too many young men to imagine they'd do anything different with a grenade. I dun'no -- keep the grenade and try shooting it with a high powered rifle. OH WAIT you don't have a high powered rifle. Well me either, boo hoo. I hear New York sucks when it comes to gun laws--I know NYC does that's why I didn't live there for too long--but I imagine NYS is a little better but probably not by much. It might be road trip time buddy!

I am glad NY said you have to be 21 ONLY because that saves you the HUGE mistake of being a "registered" fire arm owner. Try to buy privately it will be worth the wait. In the meantime, while you're looking for the right seller and the right gun you can sell that ammo--even if it is old. I like finding the pawn shops around here with the best gun selections, owners there tend to be helpful when it comes to networking and many end up being ex-cops who can help you find loopholes.

oh and by the way...I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU, finding rounds is like finding old coins! The price of ammo right now is through the roof! If you don't sell it and don't own a fire arm its still a GREAT barter item. God smiled on you buddy. Hope you and your Dad can work it out.

I would sell the ammo, man. like the last poster said, the prices are steep on that shit. if you really wanna shoot then check your local ads.. there are loads of divorcees selling the last of their shit so that they can afford court. most of the time the last of their shit is guns.
