Just thought I'd drop you a note. I haven't stepped up to a 250 yet. I'm germinating under a 125w CFL currently. By the time the plants sprout and indicate I'll probably be ready to take that step. My goal is good quality for very little cash. I started a journal too, if you wanna follow along.

haha im normally up until like 6am so this about all i have to do. and the grow is going well. just moved my plant to the ghetto grow closet. its still a pup tho, just sprouted a few days ago so fingers crossed lol

Howdy Colorado.., good to see you out n about here at RIU . Get my new lights wednesday.. cant wait though its only a 400 watt hps /mh combo. Hopefully get the 1000 ordered this week. My caregiver was pretty impressed with the Purple Buddha so hes starting me out growing for him with a lot of 20 plants.., pretty excited being a "Legal " grower /dealer... lol

Hey there. I've considered over and over the light you're using. Small space, 3x3, here. Anyway, my question is more about yield. Do you have a grow journal posted? I ended up with almost an ounce out of 170w of CFL, single plant, bagseed, in soil. Nothing spectacular, in fact, looking for cost effective improvement. I'm thinking the HPS might be it.

I simply do not feel that they are cost effective. People think that AN is supportive of the cannabis industry just because their marketing. The truth is that they don't really care about us if they did they wouldn't rape people on prices for a product that is at par with the competition at best. Say I pay 200 for all my bases and additives with a company like say botanicare or I pay 450 for AN's line, I will not get the 250 back and believe me I have ran conni 2 times and had marginal result's. Not that I think AN's products are shit because they do work well, and some of there products are a very good value such as bud candy and their ph up and down. The real price catastrophe comes when you look at voodoo juice and rhino skin. Never the less I feel like they are the wall street pricks of nutrients and I choose not to support them.

Used my central air more than I wanted to. I normally don't like to run central air, I prefer fresh air.

Yeah I rarely had any heat issues with my 250 HPS, in summer I had heat, but I would have with no lamp too. Is it HPS?

250 watt is the minimum size I would use for a HID lamp.
