Shack, I relate to your concern. :) I dont get to see mine for two weeks. It will be fine though... and a couple cups of water on the floor is not a huge deal. Dont worry man. :)

:) LOL.. Ya.. I am excited to come home to some buds. :) I have been dialing in my irrigation for almost a month before leaving, so it should all be good.

Just another thought on the system. I noticed if my res was above the drippers then the drippers would just syphon from the rez through the pump and out the drippers. Almost had a little mess before I realized it was happening. so my both of Rez are on the ground forcing the pump to push the water. Not sure how your set up but if your plants sit lower than the rez that could have had something to do with the over-watering.

well both the rez and pots are on the floor. BUT!! the water level in the res is higher than the drippers. DING DING DING!!! i think you solved it!

before i flushed/filled the res, the water level was about halfway up the tank. afterwards it was a full tank. so it could be the higher water level. i checked before i left though, there wasn't a syphon effect (anymore!) i clicked her on, shut her of, and the water backed itself in the dripper and stopped.

Back at home and good news.. the girls are doing fine!
They are nice and bushy, the new tops are WELL established and ready to start flowering in the next day or so.

The seemed to have dried out just fine after the "flood" before I left.
In fact the drippers are running so slowly that are actually a little underwatered!

Just happy my girls survived! Also surviving are my clones! No roots yet (visible outside the plug at least) and not really much yellowing either. So I should have my entries ready for the PCC ready soon!

I'll get some pics up later. It's christmas! You can wait!

don't feel like dealing with pictures just yet.
quick update on the girls though, i might have to run the drip system twice a day.
the exposed medium at the drainage holes is BONE DRY!:o
my guess is that what bit of water is dripping is getting drank VERY quickly by those roots.
makes sense, bigger plant, more roots, bigger thirst. :dunce:

so i'm going to run them for awhile tonight until i see some moisture at the drainage holes. then get them on a regular twice a day watering schedule.

still on track for 24 hours of darkness tomorrow.
followed by 12/12 Sunday starting at 8 AM !!

lets get them flowers going!! :hump::hump:

here they are fellas, still a little on the droopy side. they just need sometime to catch a drink. i've been misting as well was the dripping, should be perky by morning.

Liza (LS) on the left and Gwen (GWS) on the right

Here are Liza's 4 tops! Pssh.. and people say it stunts growth!

Now for Gwen and her tops, she's the droopier of the two. Also she appears has two dominant and two lesser tops, hopefully the 12/12 stretch will even her out

Happy Holidays everyone!

I swapped my 125W Veg bulb for my 125W Bloom bulb and turned the timer on.
Lights come back on at 8AM tomorrow!! FLOWERING BEGINS!! WOO WOO!!

I had to take the clones out of the tent, have them sitting on my desk under the same lamp waiting for them to root! I WILL be in the PCC!

hmm. just did a check on the girls. Gwen has stayed nice and squatty, but Liza's sativa heritage is showing through, she is bit stretchier by comparison. i may have to do a little LST so she stays even with Gwen. I don't want to deal with arranging other light sources, just the hood, so i need to keep the girls pretty even. I'll give Liza another day or so and she how she develops and then make my decision.

The smell is getting stronger and STRONGER.. I'm going to ordering a filter soon and possibly some ONA to help with masking what the filter can't get. Anyone use the ONA crystals? Do you just set a jar out and leave it open?

I haven't used the ona gel, but im pretty sure from what i have read that you just leave it open or scoop a lil out and set it in a dish or cup

i've found a "cone" style carbon filter. looks like a cold air intake cone for a car.
it's a 4 inch inlet so i can connect to my fan/duct on my exhaust.
also i found "ONA Pro" mist with an automated sprayer that releases a little spray however often you set it.
between the filter and ONA spray in the room, i should have pretty good odor control.

thanks for stopping by jayman!
