SF 1000 V2 - Spider Farmer Grow Light Review

Update :

Mr. Crowley seeds have begun to push thru ( 3 out of 4 ) with one lagging . Dropped panel to 18” and dimmed power at 25% - 30% of full . That is a plus with this panel - ability to run light according to stage. Lower power setting to harden up early plants instead of stressing under straight high power. It seems the IR is helping the seedlings right off the bat.

Will be watching node spacing ( although these are S1 / F1 ) to see if I can manipulate the stacking by height and power setting.
So far so good.

KKP S1 ( Hazeman seeds ) Durban poison x GG4 -

I have these now germed and will be ready for some cups tomorrow. After I make labels to know what’s what.
These are from a self pollinated plant I done a while back to keep the strain ( although I have remaining original stock seeds to further cross back later ). This strain is a heavy head high / wobbly walk kind of smoke .... why I like it for late night super chill.

Well , this will be one strain i will pop .
Durban Poison x Green Crack cross i just cut down for seeds. No name i made ( Green Double Poison ? ) but I’m nicknaming it “ Mr. Crowley “ :bigjoint:

I like playing dr. Frankenstein with my girls from time to time. F1 or S1 ( i do both ) so i can pheno hunt. I keep the amount of pollenating to one branch ( I don’t need hundreds) .

Mr. Crowley

Due the fact i was spinning some ozzy vinyl and that happened to be rockin. The other strain more than likely will be running on this grow : Hazeman Seeds - KING KONG POISON ( durban poison x gg4 ) .... a room spinning gem !

@Spiderfarmerled
Hell ya man. I'll take some seeds, lol. I love it man. I have a clone only Green Crack that I would love to get some seeds from. I actually left a Chem 91 that threw a few nanners hoping it would pollinate the Green Crack in there, but I haven't found any seeds yet. I did just harvest though, so maybe I'll get lucky, lol.

Nice man.

Everyone has got their fave “ keeper “ or “ daddy “ strain . I used to do HSO Blue Dream crosses and seeding ( still like it ) bu this one after a few pulls really kicks your ass. I will put it this way .... you are sitting thinking “ no big deal “ , get up and your equilibrium is all over the place , you are focused but you know things are tilted and you grab shit to steady yourself.

That is exactly how this runs. Glad to see you here , as you know I run the “ other “ boards. The daisy chain feature is a good upgrade feature and one dimmer to rule them all. I promised to run this review as a “ tester “ and probably want me to eat my words .... lol.

I just wanted an answer to my question and you didn’t answer it so why are you getting involved?
Well this isn't a Timber vs Spider farmer battle so why flood Budz thread with bs.

You asked a question.. and I was wondering why you asked because no one mentioned this light being superior to a Timber.

Long story short.. This thread has nothing to do with anything other than a review on the product. Sorry If you felt the need to barge in here defending Timber lights as if you even need to compare.

No harm no foul on questions .... there is always head to head reviews out there and this not one of them.
This will be a straight run what you bring SOLO review of Spider Farmer newer V2 SF 1000 . Rated at 100 w with meanwell and full dimmer control from lowest setting to full power.

Review will be on its own merits ..... looking for pros and cons .
No other light will be involved in any way shape or form. I am going to be very fair in ONLY running this with a couple plants to see how it does for a beginner 2x2 grow or for experienced growers looking for an alternative panel and cost.

Pros ( so far ) :
Stable heat control
Rock solid power switch
Daisy chain capability ( can link any of their models together )
Good spectral mix
IR diode ( although maybe later add a few more )
Price Point ( $159 )
Hang ready out of box
Perfect addition to ANY light setup as supplemental
Fit and Finish

Cons ( so far ) :
Too early to tell but will be very honest if there are any hardware failures , heat issues , etc.

Review will be for normal and extended use ( perpetual and straight high power flower cycle ).
See if she can hang in there under heavy use. For a $159 , it is looking pretty sweet.

Update ;

Had to axe one Mr. Crowley seed ( weird mutation ) and have 3 going. KKP have hit their new home in cups , and are starting to peek.
I sprinkled a little EWC into top of cups to get them motivated. Spider is still at 30-35% power until they break surface a little more.
Then I will power up slightly to keep them Hapoy.

This seed start was by design to illustrate how well you can begin a tray , propagation dome running soft ( dimmed ) to get early growth
with out harsh lighting up front. So the Spider is doing the early cup starts beautifully. This panel would be great for micro grows , closets and or split tent areas ( germ side ) and veg side . I am watching if this panel ( 5000k ) is enough to satisfactory for veg use and not too red heavy ( stretch. )

Update :

All seedlings are showing , some slight tip ( ewc ) , but they will grow out of it. Humidity has been very dry lately , and had to hydrate cups a bit more ( around edges ) not on top of new seedling. But they are all pretty much setting up first leaf set.

Watching the taller one ( hopefully not a male ) because of its rapid start over others. But will let these get accustomed to the EB Stone mix for a bit before setting up bigger containers.

I do not plan to do gradual up potting as many of you do . I will grow a nice solo plug then transfer to final size.
They will be simple grow bags with my layered mix I use on autos . These are regular strains. So they will be top dressed for duration of test grow.

I am not growing for any particular “ yield “ , I am growing to judge whether the plants grow well from it period.
Panel is dimmed to 50% for now , at 22” static height. Rh is low regionally, temps are 82 ambient. Spider runs pretty cool Aand have not noticed any heat spikes or irregular operation. Driver has slight warmth to touch. So far so good.

So , I can say the Spider Farmer V2 SF 100 definitely can cut it for a seedling / tray / dome starter panel with simple height and power dimming. This saves one from having multiple lights for early stages. Excellent choice for clones , too.

Maybe I should have requested the SF 4000 to test in my 3x3 ... lol. I think that would be a nice one to throw in my grow to review.

What makes this light better then A Timber Light?
hi dear, sorry we can't offer you an exact answer, but you can check the advantage of our light.
Samsung LM30lB diodes; Meanwell Driver; Aluminum heat sink, no fan no noise; RJ 11 connector, dimming daisy chain, easy to control the ON/OFF and wattage/lightness of several lights.
Any other problem feel free to contact.
Thanks

If you woulda kept your sensitive timber lovin ass comment to yourself i wouldn’t have had any questions for you.
Your such a moron . Lol. You just can’t Shut the fuck up can you? Stop fucking up Budz thread will ya! So stop replying to me , you idiot . Spiderfarmer has no problem answering my question and was not offended because it was a simple question but you had to read some weird “timber loving” bullshit in it.

Again , out of respect for Budz ,shut the fuck up and I am not replying to you anymore you little punk.
