I reckon you could do better than an oz a plant I can pull about 4 oz per plant under a 250w and I just scrog. (did a touch over 3 oz with 250w of CFL last grow too)

Well this thread got a bit hijacked with the lighting stuff
My take on the lighting business, just grab a dual spectrum light, there's quite a few manufacturers of the dual specs and they add a fair few lumens, and I'd rather do a few 400w lights over the 600's maybe just because I grow in small areas.OP - nice looking nugs, how's the smoke? Any more updates?

My veg tent is crammed full with plants...all kinds of plants...marigolds, cucumbers, bell peppers, Mj autos and photo, strawberries---catnip, and I don't know what all....but I have plants stacked on top of plants and then I have 2 monster tomato plants that everything else jusy kinda has to grow through...it is crazy in there, I have one 400w MH light it is raised pretty high because of the tomatoes, but as i said all the plants are kind alike sitting all weird so they and everything around them can make the best of the light...my tent is 4 ft across, 2 ft deep, and 5 feet high...so the 400w more than does what i need it to...and everything grows awesome...then I have the same identical tent for flowering, but it only gets 2 or maybe 3 plants depending on their size, with a 400w CMH light...I don't like HPS...looks ugly and gets too hot...so whatever...but uh..I have forgotten where precisely I was going with this, but don't underestimate small lights...in a 2 ft space a 250w would be more than enough...and ya know people are like CFLs are great and awesome and cheap and they work and blah blah blah...so I started with CFLs and I mean the plants grew...but not like once I got this 400w...I mean like insane differences...before I had a 250 w orange-y colored CFL..the really big ones, and a 150w CFL bluey colored one for veg....temps were always good---and after a month of veg I still had seedlings...now...with the 400w it is like crazy...it might actually be more than I need fr veg, thus the plethora of tent mates...but I can't figure out anyway to not overveg while waiting for flower space...and sometimes there isn't an opening for a plant for awhile and I just like cut it way way way back...hell I just had to go through and just tear out some that were heinous in there...If I take a clone before I flower the big plant, then that clone ends up being a tree way before the first plant finishes...so when they get too big I take a clone of them and then when the clone gets roots it takes the place of the plant that i got it from...like I rip the big plant out and put it's little clone in it's pot and then I just have to toss the big plant because what am I supposed to do with this thing?! so any ideas on how to keep this from happening would be great, but I am stoned rambling again...so imma just go....lol. I love 400w MH lights and for that I will not apologize, but I don't need one, not really, and neither do you...a 250w would be too much for your space, like my 400w is for my space...so have fun...it's awesome...all the plants look better now that I don't have time or energy to give a shit about them...dammit here I am still doing it......

all good, glad you got it settled, lol. I hadn't been on in a few days and I was like damn, 47 comments, what happened here? Good discussion on lighting though. Look forward to seeing your grow.
To update on my plants, i topped calihash plant again, it is getting huge, a bit too much bigger then the others, so i figured id top it a few times and make it bushier. I'll probably clone these in mid may before I flower them.

24gms, all my plants were a bit lite though cause I had a mite problem early in flower, so under my setup without problems id expect more like 30-35gms

They were all really good, but the jack is probably the strongest of the 3. Aliendawg is really nice too though.

Sry glock, havent been on in a while. just saw ur question, im growing in a 4x6 closet but I only use about a 3X3 space for the plants since thats all I have lighting for at the moment. Once I get some more funds I plan on adding a 400w hps as well.

Cali hash plant and MTF have been under the hps for a month now and the skywalker and larry are 3 weeks. I did have the MTF and Calihash plant in veg under just an 80w fluoro for a few weeks prior but as you can see from my first pictures on here at the beginning, they where not big at all then and have exploded under the hps

Plants have been in veg for 4 weeks. Larry is looking really nice, not very bushy, but fat fingered leaves and tall. Already topped it twice and might top it again before flowering. Still gonna give these babies another 6 weeks or so before flower, but ill update when they start to bloom.
