Check out videomans grow journal, you will see t-5's. The guy at my hydro shop believes the 8 bulb 4' fixture will give you a better grow than 600 watt hid. I may be buying a couple of those myself. Less heat issues and an even grow. VV

Mine might not be nearly as impressive as dude above me, but thsi is my first grow and i started with three plants and two turned out male, so i only have one left for now. I got the 4 foot 4 bulb setup with two veg and two flower bulbs. this is 4 weeks veg and one week flowering. hope the pics do it justice, threw the milk jug in for height reference. I love these lights, but i have nothing to compare to...oh well. I'm going to be buying a HPS soon, so we'll see.

I was going to flower with T5, but you just cant come close to the lumen output of a HPS... My 400 watt HPS is pumping out 55k lumens!
But if heat is a major issue, I bet these T5's produce some nice buds with some flowering bulbs. I noticed when the plants are very young (under 2-3 weeks) I had to keep the plants like 6 inches away from the light or else the leafs would burn. Now that they are older, they got as close as an inch without any burning.

I want to start a 40 MASTER TL5 HE 35W/827 tubes grow for 1.5 sq meters.

! !5/30/2010 when i put the 4 clones I had in 6 in blocks. I know they look bad, clones had real long roots.

T5HO 6bulb setup. around 25,200 lumens, 3 plants at a time. The girls (and their pictures) have names so you know which ones are which (some are bud shots, some are cola shots).
