So you're giving the UVb an okay for launch? What schedule have you been running it? 12/12? Partial day?
Yeah Ive had the ReptiSun for about 2 weeks, added it in the middle of flowering right when Trich production would have been ramping up anyway so I cant say specifically if it's caused increased resin production, but it sure hasnt hurt her and she's frosting up nicely... 12/12 full light cycle. Gonna get another to add in before I start flowering my new crop. (I want another 400wHPS/cooltube too:)

Its just to the top left in this pic, alum reflector

Haha, that's the dankest plant I've seen in a long time. Those pink pistils are sure a treat.

Thank you for the further UVB info.

I'd rep if I could but it looks like I need to spread some around. :leaf:

Dude thanks man thats awesome, Ive been kinda going with the flow and still learning as I go since she's the first plant Ive ever grown that didnt turn out a tall spindly hermie that came from a bag of seeded mexican dirtweed. I was amazed when it didnt stretch when flowering, it was the same height has another one that shot up 3ft in 2 weeks (the one I just harvested) and loved watching it grow into this short fat little gordita (she's getting so heavy she's swaying in the breeze now lol, even with a stem thicker than a quarter) Never seen one with pink pistils before either, but the new growth that she's still putting out seem to be mostly pinkish so I dunno if its strain specific or something Im doing like the UVb. She's also within 8 inches of the 400wHPS so she's getting ALOT of light energy in addition to the T5 PAR wavelengths... she's getting pampered since she's all alone lol. But I wasnt sure if she was bulking up as well as she should be for her age, simply cuz Ive never had a quality strain before (and this was just a random seed a friend gave me, Im assuming its Blue Cheese) But Im very pleased now, and im still gonna give her another 2-3 weeks to fatten up, shes still putting out new flowers, and I cant see any cloudy trichs yet anyway.

[Edit] Fuck. I got high over in avrum's thread and posted in the wrong place. HAHA

[Edit again] The original edit was to remove what I had originally posted. I realize this could have been confusing, I myself am confused. C.Indica - you must be laughing.

Really UCC, she's a beauty. I'm surprised to hear about the lack of stretch, she looks and sounds like a good plant. Any chance you got a clone? Maybe space for reveggin?

Yeah she didnt stretch a single inch, the 6-7" that she's grown since starting to flower has been pure bud, I cant even see stems unless I look up her skirt  She's definately quality, but I had no idea until a few weeks into flower, until then she just looked like the others, they all had really tight internode distances (under 1") because of the T5's, and were all about 9"-12" tall and topped when switched to 12/12. I never have cloned either, only because until now I had no reason to. I have 10million shitty mexican bag beans so theres no reason to clone a herm. But I am ready to now that I have good genetics. I was gonna re-veg her but Im not even sure what strain she is, so Im just gonna let her go as long as I can wait (hopefully a few amber trichs by then) then chop. Ill be taking cuttings from the indica crosses I have growing now. I got 20 beans from the Attitude, and hopefully I germinate these 3-4 now, then take a few good clones from each generation to continue the family until I get bored and want to try a new strain. I got lots of nice Indica crosses. The FCJ is Chronic x WhiteWidow. I have 5 Pipi which is PowerPlant x WhiteWidow. 5 Wembley beans which are AK47 x BubbleGum. I have a BlueBerryGum and BlueCheese going now so hopefully Ill have lots of nice squatty fat indica's from now on. No more buying smuggled brick weed and no more growing shitty hermie mexican seeds only to kill (like I did 13 of the last 14 bagseeds) or to grow it out full of seeds...although the one I just harvested only had one seed that I found while jarring it up, I think it was because it stalled when I moved it to the garage at week 4 and I harvested it only 3 weeks later so the seeds didnt have time to develop anyway.

I just moved a few bulbs around, gonna post in a lil bit here.

That first pic is fucking nuts! are those 4ft tubes, so 4'+ plants there... damn, how many oz do you pull each harvest?

Hey UcC. You shouldnt be so down on that 10000 count bag of mexican jumping beans you got buddy. Id be willing to bet that slab of ditch weed you showed us is not representative of the genetics in those seeds. Im sure the quality that weed had intentions of being when it germinated was bastardized by the greedy cartel bastards who grew and handeled it after harvest. There is probably no end to the characteristics of the multitude of phenotypes in that bag. Im anxious to see what you get from those that you started. Heres to pleasant surprises. Peace.

Yeah I thought the same, and when I first started growing years ago I was impressed with the size/quality/vigor of the seeds that came from schwaggy bags, but throughout the several years I grew in the past, and through this first round after re-starting recently, and the ONLY plant that didnt turn hermie on me was the one seed a buddy gave me from a bag of kindbud. I always assumed in the past that I was causing the hermies, either light leaks or stress or temp or something I was doing. I switched from soil to hydro and tried several methods of hydro and always got amazing growth but NEVER ONCE got a SINGLE plant through harvest without sprouting bananas and seeding up. This last round of 15, 14 were bagseeds and they were all male/herm. I finally put it all together after this round where I know that they werent stressed, and grew next to a quality seed under the same conditions that didnt turn, that it is due to their genetics. The mexican weed farms simply sew their seeds in the beginning of the season, and if they make the effort to clear out the males, there will still be a few that make it, and a few that will naturally turn hermie due to environmental stresses, then these herms will pollinate dozens of other plants inthe area, enough that when the plants are harvested and processed for transport, they shake out and collect as many seeds as they can (pounds worth, enough to re-sew the fields for the next season) If a percentage of those are pre-disposed to turn hermie, they will likely be missed when the males are pulled, only to survive to produce more hermie seeds until pretty soon a farms entire supply of seeds is pre-disposed to produce herms. Like I said before, Ive tried for years to grow with mexican schwag seeds and find it impossible to grow sinsimilla. I wont explain why, again Im not a cop, but my situation made it difficult to get quality seeds, but I got to the point of quitting growing cuz I got tired of spending time/effort to grow seeded crap. But I was finally able to get some seeds which I will take clones from and hopefully will never have to grow unknown strains agian :)

I have a journal that I originally used to document my setup from day one, up to about week 6 (when all had been thinned out but the single indica). You can see how nicely they came along and how excited I got every time I put a bush into flower and it sprouted pistils, only to have to kill it a few days later.

Damn! I see what you mean. A bunch of plants that have been pollinating themselves and others in the same patch for years on end would likely now be geneticly predisposed to be fuckups. Heres the evidence for why incest is baaaaaadddddd! Sorry I missed where you explained this before. Im tickled youve gotten yourself some good genetics to grow out. That fruity chronic juice sounds deeelightful BTW. So much for pleasant surprises but heres to tasty trichome covered horizons. As always take care and all the best.

PIC UPDATE!!!

So I got my 2 AquaMedic Plant Grow tubes today, with one broken (of course) so this is just a temporary light blend, but in the next few days my babies will go into the veg box under the 8 bulb, and until I receive my replacement PlantGrow and new RedSuns, this will the be the temporary spectrum.

Cool. I guess one day Ill have all the circle jerkin bs you guys go through to get your tubes to look forward to myself. Yay me! Is tube placement in the fixture critical? Do you just try to spread the different wavelengths across your canopy as evenly as possible? Peace bro.
