... Do you just try to spread the different wavelengths across your canopy as evenly as possible? Peace bro.
Yeah I try to spread it out pretty even, under the 8 bulb I may have 2 rows under it so I may duplicate the pattern twice across the panel. Rightnow Im just planning to put 4 under it so Its pretty well spread out. Its not perfect now, I should move the ReefWave 420Blues in a space or two, then when I add RedSuns they'll go one on either side. I have no idea if theres any need to have red on the outside or blue on the outside or anything like that, just vary the tubes and you will naturally have a wide spectrum to give your foliage
:peace:

hey when u get a chance can you toss up a up to date pic of your auto hobbit, i know its just a seedling but mine seems to be growing really short wich would coincide with its name i guess.

thanks
Matt
Ill get a close-up for ya tomorrow eve, but heres a pic from yesterday.

DSC02304.jpg

The Hobbit (green straw, rear left) is looking about equal to the FCJ (blue straw, right side) , but my Blueberry Gum (pink straw, right side) was born with an underdeveloped set of first leaves so she was stalled abit, but has since sprouted her 2nd set and is catching up. But the Hobbit is doing well for an infant. Im hoping they hurry up and get about as big as the BlueCheese is (toothpick, left side) right now, which is when Ill move them into their own 3gal bucket. These 4 (colored straws +toothpick lol) will grow up under the 8 bulb t5, and I will take clones (hopefully 3 each, of each strain for a total of 9) for a much larger 2nd round harvest with these same strains, before either a 3rd round of clones or starting from new seedlings if I get bored. Im thinking I can prob stretch my 20 seed collection over 4 years or more if I grow 4-10 ladies per harvest and use clones for 2 out of 3 crops.
The two seedling sativas (top right, bottom left) will be donated to a ditch I pass by on the way to work... RIP:leaf:

Ive often said that if "heads" that own birds as pets would seperate the hemp seeds from their bird seed and chunk em onto the sides of the backrodas in their areas the cops would be so busy rounding up all the bunk that they wouldn't have time to fool with folks growing in the backwoods and closets. lol

thanks for the pics :) mine are all coming along pretty good as well. i think i will transplant them into a 2 gal pot today or tomorow :)

as far as my 20 seed collection goes i could probally make it last 30 years, i plan on taking clones the whole way through for a perpetual style grow. i may even germ up a blueberry gum today not really sure. the auto's are the only ones that i cant really do anything about preserving as they cant be cloned and they have a expected lifespan of 60-70 days.

i dropped my camera in a bucket of water the other day making a stupid video or me "removing the air pockets" from my soil (i was drunk) but hopefully today or tomorow i will be getting a new cam and should have a couple picture updates on my threads.

WOW! That is a truly awesome setup you have there, so I imagine you have almost $10,000 just in those Penetrator 336X Pro's, those suckers are pricey:(---->CLICK HERE<----) let alone the 9 (?) fluorescent panels you have surrounding your grow. So how have those 336X PRO Panels been working for you, supposedly there the most powerful commercial LED grow light in existence, all I know is that with a $2200 price tag they better do something right. Well good job man I'm drooling with jealousy.

So I am very poor with money management, I cant say no. I already have 4 UVL Red Suns and a replacement PlantGrow tube on the way., so I go and order 4 ZooMed FloraSun's and 2 AquaticLife 650nm Roseate's. All are very red heavy full spectrum bulbs that will work in flowering. I am REALLLY debating if I want to get another 400w HPS and add it onto the cooltube (4ft cool tube w 2 bulbs) or if I want one or two more 4 bulb panels for a total of 12 or 16 tubes total for flowering... I dont know if I want to go for increased potency/quality but lighter airier buds, or to add another 400wHPS for more massive buds, yet maybe not as perfect as under T5... hmmm decisions decisions. Heat is a serious issue, and my main priority SHOULD be getting an AC for the room before summer hits. Its almost impossible to get my average temp below 80 in my house, w the AC on almost constantly... 80 in the house means 90 in the room means 95+ in the boxes/under lights... no way jose.

yeah it gets hot here, actual temp last summer (this was after the vehicle had moved around, wasnt from sitting in the sun)

BEAUTY!!!! How far away from wrappin that lady up in a bow are ya buddy?
I have no idea lol, she keeps poppin out new flower clusters and is showing fresh white/pinkish pistils, Ive got opaque/milky trichomes but I dont see any amber trichomes yet. I think Im gonna put her in pure ph'd bottled water w/ molasses for about 10 more days, then trim the biggest fan leaves and put her in a dark closet for 3 days before final harvest. I may give her a few more days before I start this final flush so I may have trimmed bud pics in 2-3 weeks... damn, Im so eager to chop but the trichomes are telling me no, she's starting week 9 I believe (around there, started flower Dec5) How long is too long, can she flower too long if she's in hydro and gets fresh nutrients vs soil where minerals can get used up/inbalanced?

maybe use the pistil method. when the pistils are turning color faster than the bud is producing new ones.... chop-chop. maybe combine that with maturing trichs. peace and patience bro. easy for me to say huh? lol.

this is just a quick post i thought was pertanent to a couple of other posts in the thread concerning bagseed and pistils at harvest.when i was a kid coming up in central fl we were getting this weed that was "lightly" pressed into bricks. the only way you could tell was either to see it before it was broken up or to get a bud with a flat side on it. it was really pretty stuff. 32 yrs ago it was the best we had seen. we were being told by the guy we were getting it through that it was jamaican. now, being fl in the earliest 80's we knew "lambsbread" an this were not that. it had thick, full, red hairy, dark green buds so sticky they would hang off of yer fingers. the first 3-4 hits from bowl or joint tasted like pure hash. $85/heavy oz., maybe 25-35 seeds/oz. and plum tickled to find em in the spring. we would plant 8-10 seeds in an old dried up pond bed on the back prop. line of my dads citrus grove where only the very deepest part of the pond still held water. many new subdivisions had taken their toll on the water table in the cmmunity. we planted em about 2 1/2 ft above the current water level. the ones that survived the rabbits and didnt show male flowers were thinned to the healthiest single plant and we hoped for the best.we really thought these things were some kind of jamaican cause they loved the sandy soil and intense sunshine of fl.. they would flower into late sept. or even early oct. some years and all we had to go on was pistil color to harvest. we as kids didnt know about stages of trich. development but we could see them damn "hairs" turn color.we later came to find out, after we finally met the guy it was originally coming from that it really was coming from jamaica but only after it had been flown in from.... yep.... mexico. as i got older and lived and learned a bit, i realized that stuff was the exception to the common mexi. mersh. weed rule. even so experiences with that "loved on" mexi. has left a soft spot in my heart for it and i guess it makes me wonder a bit if there are still true "gardeners" down there.well there it is. hope i didnt bore anyone with my reminiscent tale from a more carfree time. peace al

Up till now Ive only ever grown with bagseeds, and used to get forearm sized colas under 300w of HPS, I know there is potential, but just couldnt get em from seeding themselves.

I have a ton of pics for updates, but my comp wont recognize my cameras drivers anymore and I gotta find a way to get them to my comp.

The indica is in pure water now with molasses for just another day or two then into the dark for 48... then chop chop chop! Still have very few amber trichs but I can tell she's about there, the pistils are browning up and calyxes are puffed on the top/newest growth... plus damm it I cant wait!

Im still curing the hermie 6week harvested sativa, still have 2oz in the jar after abt 10days of cure, still slightly moist but curing nicely. Smelled really sour/piney/green and I thought my cure was failing again... but its starting to lose its harsh and sweeten up abit as the days pass and it slowly dries. I had 72g yesterday and after it set out of the jar for an hour it had 70g, today down to 68g, so Im losing about 2g of water per day/each time they get air. Im going by weight instead of trying to guage their moisture content since its soooo fucking dry here all the fucking time

deuces!

hey buddy, yer up late on mon. night. lol. ive been wanting to ask what the potency is like on those early harvest mexi buds. i know theyre immature but i guess im wondering if theyre still better than what ya bought. from your description i know they gotta smell better. also i know a lotta people black out their plants immediately prior to harvest. wassup? take care man.

I would honestly never pay attention to pistils again..
Low humidity, high heat, stagnant air, and overfertilization can turn pistils brown.

UcC is dealing with an unknown strain. He was wanting to get an idea of when to begin his flush so its an option thats available to possibly be used in conjunction with others as opposed to just a wild assed guess. Sometimes you gotta improvise. Peace
