Didn't have a chance to record temps. But it's winter here & I keep the house heet low so I ran a few tests & after installing wrap on the outside of the doorway & was able to leave the door open with a crack opening in the edge of the wrap & temps haven't gotten past 78-80 with 1600 watts of LED in the 10'x10' room. There's 2 other new lights in there as well. This system puts out less heet than either of the 500 watters.
It ain't easy flowering oversized GG. This SC is taking allot of the hassles off my back. How's your scrog coming out? I did the the same with the other 6 OCGG's. 3 under each 4'x4' with 500 w overhead.
this was around 22 days.i have been pulling them back down under the screen and trimming all during stretch since the screen was filled the second i put them in.my temps have been 66 to 70 .i had to vent one of my hps boxes into the main room to raise temps to 71 so this box wouldnt go below 66

here is the 4 gg4 the day i put them in and flipped.you can see the lights better.View attachment 3626119
What's your dimensions in the grow-box? Looks real good mang! You're running @ 100 watts a plant as well. Nice spacing on the lights & nice build. Only 100 watts of LED puts out some serious light. This is my first time using it.

Just wondering, did you drill holes and screw down at all 4 points on the metal lens holders? I only used 2.

the box is 4 foot by 4 foot by six foot high.that is a 8 inch carbon filter and fan at the top.i built the cabinet for growing 4 plants around 2 600 hps bulbs stacked.there are 2 light proof baffle intakes kitty corner down low.i dont think i will get close to what i was pulling with 1200 watts of hps and 4 big plants tied to the walls but i think it will do great for 4oo watts and a shorter veg

my intention is to use 1 200 watt 4 cob light bar for 1 plant tied to a vertical screen.i have to do alot of work till i am able to try that and wanted to get my new lights growing.originally i was going to use 8 cobs on individual passive heat sinks placed all around 1 big plant but that would eat up too much real estate in my grow room.

Took the outside blade off to access the window for the install of the new Wi-Fi controlled AC. it got dark out before I could so ran the stand-up AC for today for the first time cuz temps got up to 88 yesterday having the door open a crack only. There's another 1000 watts of LED going in the same room. These blades come off easy, NP doing it alone. They can either slide off each end or just unclip from the hangers. Snapped a shot of the 2 left side plants w/o the blade in. image.jpgimage.jpg Mad full! Surprised they filled in so well. When they went in they were leggy, long n stringy, & thin.
Also finally decided to lower the outside blades to take better advantage of the light. Something I should've done a long time ago. Got allot going on & I've been slacking. image.jpgNext time I will be utilizing as much as the blade as possible to engulf the plant rather then leaving them high. Lowering them & putting the Panda-wrap on the other-side is now better utilizing the light. I'll have this system down by next run.

Don't get me wrong but that's a pretty extreme way to light plants in my book. I mean I'm fascinated by your thread, but don't you think you're wasting so much light? I don't see any real data for those lights but I really don't think those top lights are doing anything but illuminating your leaves and blowing photons straight across your grow room, see what I mean? Also I was wondering if your grow starts to crap out will you add more effective light or just keep going on to see what happens? And you really should heed the words of the captain btw, great grower who KNOWS the glue from what I gather. Sorry to be critical and all but I just can't see this working with MMJ and I totally look foward to you proving my ass wrong :). Best of Luck With This Grow!

Here's how I like to light my ladies nowadays, I'm a big fan of leveraging LED strong points in a grow room and the ability to direct the light is one of them and should not be ignored IMHO.

you do have your outside edge lights turned off? with the panda wrap up i would try turning them on now.that is the only problem i see with this set up.the end bars should have all lights facing in or the ability to rotate them to face the same way instead of just turning them off.

Cool set-up! Yeah, this is an interesting system/light. I feel like the diodes at the top angled downward give the plants a direction to stretch to. Otherwise they would just grow out in all directions. I also should've dropped the blades lower a long time ago & will know better next time so to not waste as much light. Really makes the white surround glow further lighting everywhere. My theory is they are trying to accomplish a fully lit surrounding, not so much directional. The owner told me I may not get big colas like I'm used to, but to expect buds more evenly sized throughout the whole plant. I'll be finishing it out with this light only no matter, I have to know. Sometimes looks are deceiving.
I'm not only trying to get a decent GPW here, I'm also trying to match my HPS room average g/sq', whatever that equates to? I'll do the math. Mmmnnhhh! 1,283.33 watts per 4'x4' section of light. So, that's a pretty tall order on my part. I get 1.5-2 lbs for every 4'x4' in that room. So, I'm hoping for the best! I can't afford to sacrifice much g/sq'. Just for GPW. After harvest, I'm happy to pay my huge electric bill. :)
Stick around, let's all see what happens! I've seen 2 grows with this unit on GC n he did good, but I'm still curious as hell! He had way better vegged plants. Mine are so full I feel the plants are going to engulfs the lights,Ha! We'll see! Peace!

I contemplated turning them on. Tried them to see & it did light the place up more, but keep them off cuz I'm not sure if turning them on would be worth the difference. Probobly hu?! But I'm gonna keep them off this run to see how it works @ 600watts. When I set this up I liked turning the outside one on to help veg some plants. I can see using this in open space or a 4'x10' later with my other 2 LEDs on each side & the outside blades on. Who knows, maybe I'll buy another SC? It's gotta come close to my 4'x4' area Yeilds in the HPS w/ double the watts then I'll buy another!
