O.C. GG#4 In the SunCloak 4416

Running 6 O.C. GG#4's in the SunCloak 4416. These plants are like 2 3/4 months vegged in a tight space then thrown in the Cloak. In 10 days I've seen them go from sloppy plants to strong. First day of flower is today. These are probobly not optimal plants but if this light can grow these girls 3 dimensionally better then my typical 2 D growing methods then I'll be real happy. I just struggled to get 3 of these in a 4'x4' area under a 3'6" trellis but the Cloak holds 6 No Problem. So far I found it allot easier by not having to worry about lateral space to contend with, so far. So I'm hoping to have a nice 4'x4' canopy as opposed to my normal 4'x-18" as that's all I can achieve with a light above.
-Nutes: TechNaFlora w/ supplemental Nutes from Heavy-16 & AN.
-Medium: 50% CoCo-LoCo from Fox Farms, 25% Biotanicare Moisture, & 25% Biotanicare Aeration.
-Co2: yes
-Pots: 7 gallon
-Space: 4'3"x4'x7'7"

Wow almost 3,months of veg huh? You need more light if you wanna get all that
those GG's can give ya.
I agree. This was done w/o planning. I'm hoping to get the most out of a 4'x4' with this strain. Deffinetly not optimal but if it works then I'll have a better way to flower my taller plants. If I can get 2 lbs w/ only 600 watts I'll be a real happy camper. We'll see. In the future I'll try 3 biggenz, topped n bushed as I do have a plant count.

The only comment I can make..and this is purely from looking here, but it seems like alot of wasted light. There are diodes horizontal way above the plant and others down by the stump and such. But maybe the increased side penetration will make up for all that I dunno

I agree with this from an outside perspective. It seems like if you stuck that in a tent or put reflective surface all around it very tight they would probably pump out more growth.

Still building. Going with white Panda Wrap suspended on long Shower Curtains w/PVC track. So it opens on 2 sides for access.
Been growing GG#4 for a couple years now and I can tell you that your way over vegged for that setup. GG#4 can more than double in size and stretch for 3 plus weeks and she has weak branching and a heavy yield.
I know right! I've got 5 in their 6th week of flower on the HPS room. Practically touching the glass in the hoods. That's why I call em OCGG#4, (out of control) Lol! I'm attempting to control that w/ vertical trellis x4 on each set of blades. It was easier then I thought it would be. A few zip-ties n I was in buss. Might need a lil luck.

Nice. I think if you can find a way to keep all the light in the plant area it should be great. Or if you could take the sections of LEDs up high and turn them towards the plants if you don't veg as tall as the system.

The lights you whipped up really are pretty neat. Just wish they were cobs! Haha. Running little 2530''s down a 3" heatsink
I'm all about the COBs too! Just bought an Amare SE-450 & Hydropinics Hut X5-500, both have COBs with surrounding 5 watt Monos. I love em but am having a real hard time with the other 6 OCGG's under a 3'6" trellis. It's going to be really hard for me to maintain that min. 18" requirement due to the intensity. The suspension hardware keeps the lights pretty far from the ceiling so it's going to be hard to raise them. The SC has plenty of room to be raised higher. So, what I'm seeing is the SC being great for tougher plant applications that require more hieght. Like for instance, I could barely fit 3 of each under the overhead lights. The ones in the SC are filling out all the way up vertically & the horizontal trellised ones with lights above are filling in the trellis but only the canopy. It's a different style that's for sure. Never used a vertical trellis. I'm wondering if I should Weeve them to try to reduce the uprising as I'm sure their gonna fill in that light quickly. Good news is I have plenty of room to raise it to the ceiling if need be & still have a 4'x4'x4' canopy. This is my first run this way so I'm open to advice from anyone whom has vertical growing experience. I'm digging it.

Here's a pic of day one of flower. Today is officially the first day of light change because I had work to do during lights off time yesterday. image.jpg

Woow, for the $2,000 you spent on those lights, you could have built one mean DiY. The amare is a good light expecially with the uvb bulb, but 6 cobs for 1200... when they're $42/piece... meh. But the HH not so sure about.
