just wanted to be able to finish this thread up! here is a comparison for you guys! these are not the same girls I started this thread with, so you guys can either take my word for this, or better yet run your own and find out for yourself!!!

OK both are cuts from the same mother, taken at the same time, and obviously the same strain. as babies they were both handled the exact same way of course! and both used the exact same living soil, only diff, was the sip got an extra half cup of dolomite lime when it went into the sip! No other differences!!

OK so when the difference started was when one went into a sip pot, and the other a 10g smart pot! the sip grew so fast it actually went into flower two weeks before the smart pot! oh course the methods of feeding and stuff we're different bc the sip is 100% maintenence free all I did was top off the rez with em1, as for the smart pot I continued all my normal methods, top dressig, compost teas, mulch ya know the normal shit we all do in rols!

and as you can clearly see in the pics the sip is sitting on the ground, the smart pot had to be raised so it could reach some dam light, where as the sip can't even get directly under the light bc it got so big!

AND HERE YOU GO! THE SIP IS TWICE THE SIZE AS THE REGULAR SMART POT, AND IT STARTED FLOWER TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE SMART POT! CLEAR WINNER HERE!

so in conclusion, I'm going all in with sips, less work, more growth and faster growth! I really believe this method gives me MOST of the benefits of growing Hydro, like the fast and big buds, but at the same time I still keep 100% of my terps and flavors from the living organics! it's truly the best of both worlds!

thanks for following guys!

hey guys I'm continuing the same methods here, if yall are interested, I know there isn't alot of info on this style of growing, and I've fallen in love with this, so I'm just trying help spread the info, and give back to the community that has taught me so much!

I'll be moving away from hydro and into the world of organics for my next run. I've been reading your work and have been inspired.

I stumbled onto him via Kevin Jodrey and Soil King via the Earth Box.

now I just need to get my Scrog skills up and work on a nice even canopy, and my set goal is right at a pound for each harvest, should be easily achieved once I get this under control!

I came across Adkisson through this podcast. He said that SIP is based off of the "Hanging Gardens of Babylon". Interesting stuff! I just invested in 8gal square pots, so it might be a little while til I get into the SIP but I am on board with it and ferments.

well he said he couldn't prove it but he had reasonings to believe this is what they used and also that it came from a type of desert farming techniques. but yeah I heard the same thing you did it was very cool and interesting!

I was sold on Alan Adkisson after this podcast because he talked about problems that I have been dealing with for a while, manure toxicity and high brix. Both are addressed through ferments and Grokashi. SIPs are the cherry on top and I'll get there one day soon...

do what I did start with one, cost less than 20 bucks to make mine! it's super easy, once your had a run with it, perfect it in your own way! that's what I'm working on, a way to scrog each one, to control the fast growth! I wasn't ready for that lol! I've never done hydro!

Just to think, I've spent all this time trying to keep the bottom of my pots dry lol... It looks like I have most of the material on hand and probably improvise the rest. I've just had my head so wrapped up in learning KNF methods that I haven't really looked into SIP yet. I'm not scare of DIY projects though. Seems like you have to be a jack of all trades to grow weed lol.
