My question is: how big can a SIP be made? Would it be advantageous to make it bigger?
I have pretty much exhausted all my sources of information on this..
I wish I could tell you for a fact but all I can do is guess but I have seen ppl do it in 50 gallon totes and they were some huge trees!

Wtf? I'm all in for this thread.

More information please, I'm thirsty already. :-)
Unfortunately there isn't any more information I've said everything I know and was able to find! Most that I have talked to have said to look into knf (Korean natural farming) as for my grow I was running low on space so I went a Lil over board with topping and lst! But I have zero room in my flower room so I didn't have choice but to slow down the super fast growth!

I think head room might be the most limiting factor.. as well as door ways.
I like to make my SIPs on wheels, so if you make square or rectangular ones, then those can take a lot of room up when spinning em!

A final factor to consider is the weight of the SIP. And the structure you garden in.

The stronger your facility, the wider the doors, the more headroom you have, then the more you can push it.
Then you can push further yet if you use LED lights, train, and embed the SIPs into the ground, i.e. recessed into the floors.

Outside, people are going as big as 1000 gallons.. indoors, usually 150-200 gal max, with 20-30 being more average for single plant SIPs. Multi plant SIPs, you probably want a good 20 gal each per plant. Or 25. If you have the head room for big plants.

For those with no major restrictions in regards to plant counts, any SIP can also act as a good bed for SOG.

They are really versatile, and support no til perfectly. They also speed up veg time!

OK guys like I said I went a lil over board with the lst. And I also broke a few branches but it actually is working out for the best, the plant was getting so tall and big I don't have that kinda space indoor and my flower room is full to max right now! But other than that everything is looking great! Heres today's pics!CM180804-035134001.jpg CM180804-035143002.jpg

How's the sip working so far? Any issues or things you would tweak?
No issues and haven't done anything different! Well I can say one issue I went a lil rough when doing lst and broke a few branches that were unfixable but other than that it's doing great no signs of any def. No worries no bs! Plan to make amother one very soon may even do it today!

And as for a tweak I think this next one I make I will leave a Lil extra space in the rez to hold a tad more water other than that I'm 100% happy and will slowly turn my entire set up to this! Atleast the mothers for sure!

I also would like to plan to make a huge one around 100g or something biggest one I can get my hands on and maybe do 2 or possibly 3 plants in a single sip but that will be an experiment for another time!
