Hey man dont worry about these assholes their jealous of your 5 foot plant. But assholes or not they are right, its a waiting game, a plant can be big or small but until it reaches the right age you wont be able to tell the sex, plain and simple. I'd say give it three more weeks and if you dont see white pistols/hairs shooting out or ball/banana seed sacks then do one of these guys solution and put a black plastic bag over it after the sun has been on it for 11 to 12 hours to give it 12 to 13 hours of darkness. The smount of sunlight depends on when it will start to flower, the plant wants to soak in as much sun as possible before the season changes and there is more darkness than light. SO like I said wait 3 weeks or a month, if nothing happens, play god and change the amount of light it recieves. Good Luck!

Hi Thanks a lot, you truly helped me figure out what I needed to do. I did tie the branches down so sun could get in the center of the plant. Where I live it is HOT and the SUN it ALWAYS beaming, so I water it ever morning and I can not wait for the morning I go out there to talk her (Cleo) and see flowers! Was tieing down a good thing for the plant? I had a few yellow leaves on it that I cut off. What do for fertilizer? should I use a bloom buster? :peace:

Ive heard tying down branches isn't good or bad for the plant so Im sure youre fine there, yeah use some nutrients/fertilizer for the first stages of blooming but the last weeks before youre going to pick the buds just feed it regular water.

HI all I need HELP! I planted a few seeds a few months ago and one of the took off! I have it in a HUGE plant potted in a tree planting pot.

I have babied it every single day and it is 4 to 5 ft tall now. Someone told me to clip the top, so I did. Now not only is it about 5 ft tall but it has grown out like a bush. IT IS HUGE!

I need to know a few things.
I need to know when it will flower?
What do I do once it does flower?
When do I cut it to dry?
How do I know if it is male or female? at what point of growth will I be able to tell this? I have searched all of this plant of these testicle like objects but there is nothing.

It is getting hard to hide, I need some input PLEASE!

Thanks
THC

Cover her. The Fall will be here late Sept, Oct. So if you want to induce flower; just cover her.

so I should jut let nature take its corse until cold weather comes? When you talk about covering it for 12 hours are you meaning during the day or night. I am in the Southern Alabama Mississippi region and it doesn't get dark until about 7:30 right now.

You have to be careful covering a plant in that kind of heat. You could cook it.:peace:

i would leave it inn darknest for up to three days this should force it to show its sex, although i think its a female so black bag it or get the full 12/12 cycle going and make sure when its being put into darkness thats its completly dark and no light at all can get in so if using the black bag method make sure its a heavyduty one which will not leak any liight onto the plant. personally i put mine into a heavy duty black bag and then put it into the outdoor toilet in my back yard to keep the heat off the black bag and make sure its getting pure darkness

I am going to keep an eye on this thread! I want to see what it looks like. More pics please!

I want to get my plant outside but i threw out a male and I forgot where I put it....winds are picking up now so I dont want anything hurting "Brandy"!

The sun and temps are perfect where i live also. Girlfriends parents make random visits and are prone to walking around getting their see of things. I now have to plant flowers and other crazy plants too keep their attention on the sweet flowers not the skunky ones.

Looking forward to a full pant shot if you can please good sir.

spark1 is right if you dont create shade and just put a black bag over it, it will get way to overheated in that climate, put like a couple umbrellas over it so theres shade.

Ok here is the update. I tied down the limbs 3 days ago maybe 4 (can't remember). Now the leaves close to the stalk have turned yellow and dies.

What did I do and how do I fix it?

Hi I am a new grower and I have a plant that is about 4 to 5 tall. I have the picture in my post. I was told to tie down the limbs so sun can get close to the stalk and it would thicken up. So I did that 3 or 4 days ago.
Today I went out to look at it and the bottom leaves have yellowed and are dying!

I live in Alabama humidity is not a problem. Sun shines hot ever day however it has been raining everyday for about 5 days or so.

My plant has not flowered at all! I am still not sure if it is a male or female. I have clipped the top.

What do I do now. Please Help.kiss-ass
